Just call him!!! Sometimes you just need a quick answer to a question that is outside your realm of expertise or experience. Michael is absolutely selfless with his time and a credit to his profession. He is not afraid of providing frank pragmatic advice and even took the time to think through my entire situation before he knew who I was or how or if I had the means to pay him. I contacted three other attorneys before I found him. I got the same run around from all three with the standard: make an appointment, let’s talk about my rates then we’ll talk about your issue. One of the attorneys actually second guessed every decision I made that lead me to the situation and I didn’t have a week to wait for an appointment with the other two to ask a question I can ask in a few sentences.
Legal issues do not have to be intimidating or expensive and Mr. Shann has proven that to me. If you’re on the fence, at least call him & give him the chance to earn your business. His methods of dealing with people and his delivery are truly exemplary and you will be absolutely satisfied. His time has never been an issue and he has always listened to the ENTIRE story before offering his advice.
BTW, I originally contacted him to get some advice about a business I was in the middle of purchasing. He spent all kinds of time with me and I had to ask him for a bill as he was hesitant to even charge me; he didn’t even send me an invoice, I just mailed him a check. This old fashioned «handshake» type of mentality is exactly what sets him apart from everybody else!
When I finally found a business that I wanted to move on, he was the only person I ever considered to assist me on my incorporation. You know it will be done right the first time and won’t have to wonder about anything getting missed because he just won’t let it happen. If you’re trying to set up a business for the first time on your own, you can miss things because you don’t know what you don’t know. With one of the online legal sites, there is so much upselling, you can’t figure out what is necessary or not, will pay MORE than he charges, and definitely won’t get the personal service he offers!
I work with a lot of professionals and when you find one like this, you keep his number close and you take care of him every chance you get as he will return the favor in spades.

I was looking for a lawyer to help me set up my LLC and found him online. Luckily our friend had also used him and gave us the extra motivation to go with him. And I am SO thankful I did! I have incorporated before (S-​corp) and I wish I had known about him. I spoke to him for about 20 minutes and he was able to check if the name was already taken in his database. He filed the paperwork. Then 3 to 4 weeks later a minutes book was mailed with neatly, organized materials on what to do next, how to do it and if I needed help, I could call him. I had trouble with the DBA so I called him and he picked up right away and we spoke for 5 to 10 minutes. Previously, I have worked with lawyers and they charged some outrageous fees for a simple question. This question cost nothing extra. So glad I found him!

I called Mr. Shann and he provided excellent advice. It actually came down to him suggesting that I did not need his services at this time, but would be better off as a DBA right now. He even offered advice and help on how to go about getting my DBA license. I was very appreciative of his assistance!

Michael Shann is the man. I called first to discuss all of my questions before I shell out $ 400 to incorporate. Michael was VERY quick in answering all of my questions and alleviating my worries about trusting my first business with him.
One of the best part of his service is that if you have any questions about your incorporation you can contact him whenever as long as you own the business. That was reassuring and I have used it twice so far and each phone call lasted 2 minutes because he seems to know everything off the top of his head.
I did my whole setting up the incorporation over the phone in 5 minutes then he sent me the completed packet to finish and finalize the rest of the process of setting up my bank account and stock certificates. Everything was already filled out and just had to follow the detailed instructions and I was done.
