A couple months ago I got a ticket that I did not deserve. I was so upset. Balancing work and school I still tried to fight it on my own. It was frustrating to deal with the court system. For the first time in my life I had to consult a lawyer. At first, I did not know where to turn. I am so glad my friend recommended the Law Office of Mark-​Robert Bluemel. I personally don’t like lawyers. I don’t like doctors either, but when you find yourself in the middle of something you don’t understand, in a cage, like an animal, with people in uniforms telling you you’ll be in prison for a long time, over a plant, it’s good to have one close that knows the battlefield. I had my encounter with the wonderful Sheriffs dept. and their abiding agencies in the county in April, 2014. I was charged with 5 felonies, all cannabis related, from growing to manufacturing «hash oil». and like that, I was placed on 100K bond. I hired Mark, as I was working at the time for a collective as a delivery driver in San Diego. Well, a hellish year went by, with no charges being FILED by the city. Just kind of left to linger and hang in the darkness. Mark told me this was the scary part. That I couldn’t do too much but wait. Well, June 13, 2015 the wait was over. 10:30PM and half naked, I answer the door, am grabbed by my arm and simply told «We need to see the judge». It’s amazing how fast this place is turning into a police state, but I digress. No rights read, thrown back in jail on ANOTHER 50K bail for the SAME exact charges from 2014. No. Not NEW charges FOR the same thing, The actual CASE #s from 2014. to me, it just felt like an illegal violation of my life, as I had not done anything to warrant such a friendly visit, nor had I missed bail payment, in over 14 moths. Fast forward to today. 8÷20÷2015. They (the system) had originally told me I was looking at 10+ years due to the circumstances in my case. Mark fought like a dog for me, and was the one person in that entire court building I could understand. As a man, he’s down to earth, which means alot. He made sure I got the best absolute deal possible, and did it with a good heart. Thanks to Mark Bluemel I am a free man. No House arrest bracelet (the original deal we agreed to), no probation officer, no drug tests. No more privacy invasion. Thank you, Mark. for seeing me and my family through this ordeal. I don’t leave reviews usually, whether the experience was good or bad. The whole «not being inside a box» thing has me leaving this here. It’s only right. Stay safe, and remember: «If you’re being put through hell, better call Bluemel».

Wish I could have mentioned that Mr. Bluemel was a great attorney, However, the way things ended were not exactly on good terms. We hired him to handle a restraining order that was served to my mother on a false charge. At first, he saw and understood the anguish and tremendous amount of stress and pain she was dealing with. Especially since it was served against her from her own «family». Few months into waiting on trial dates, waiting for responses etc. My mother was very ansy and nervous about the whole thing so she did tend to call/​email him asking for updates after not hearing from him for a while. Until one day, he actually decided to respond and he told MY mother that SHE was «STRESSING HIM OUT» what with all the calls and emails, note the only reason she kept reaching out to him was to look for an update or if anything re assurance. I went bonkers and told him off. Afterwards, he was not much help at all, didn’t give my mother any hope or confidence. He ended up being a big disappointment and my mom wasted her money on this dude. I ended up having to buy her a new attorney and by the grace of God, he saw my mom through her tribulation. We never heard from him, he never followed up nothing. Pretty much wiped his hands clean from my mom and her problems. Now, I understand if he was busy, my mom was not his only client okay, but that is absolutely NO WAY to speak to your clients who are spending money on you to handle this for them but also she was on the virg of a mental break down what with all the details I left out. So I give him a 0. He needs to learn to treat his clients with the proper respect they deserve.

Nice guy for an attorney. I try not to let my bad experiences with them color my opinions of the good ones. I met Mark Robert at the San Diego City Council meeting when the Council was repealing some onerous medical marijuana statutes that dispensaries supporters collected signatures against.
This gentleman sat next to me while we listened to a series of medicinal patients give their testimony. I believe he might have been representing some of them. Mark Robert is a good guy to have on your side when something goes down. His office is conveniently located in University Heights and, though I hope I never need to make another office visit to an attorney for the rest of my days, this one gets good reports from people I know who have used his services.
