La Jolla Village Square Parking Lot

A must see when you visit La Jolla. One of a kind. Maze like structure will take your breath away. You will feel like you are in a giant rat maze. Once you are in getting out is anything but easy. Who would have thought a parking lot can cause so much confusion? Please be sure you have ample car insurance.

I think this is literally one of the worst parking lots ever designed. Just turning into this parking lot fills me with rage and anxiety like I’ve never felt before. If it weren’t for the fact that this is the closest place with a Trader Joe’s, I wouldn’t park in this parking lot even if you paid me.
There is just so much wrong with this parking lot that you can literally point out something new that’s infuriating everytime you go (which should be the least number of times possible for your sanity’s sake). Why is there a weird divider between the lot and the small drive beside the spaces? Why is that two-​way lane only large enough to fit one car? How does anyone make a turn that sharp? Where are the people supposed to be walking? So many unanswered questions that the designers of this parking lot should have seriously considered!
I’ve nearly been hit at least 3 times either while driving or walking. It’s like this parking lot exudes stupidity and infects everyone — either that or they’re as overwhelmed with the sheer dumbness of it as I am every time I visit. I would give it 0 stars if I could. Spare yourself and park on the World Market or Petsmart side and then walk to Ralph’s.

Worst parking lot ever. Some parking lot designer engineer person was having a bad day and decided to make this a parking lot demolition derby (if you haven’t been to a demolition derby, GO. I highly recommend it.).
Here, you can get into a car accident and then as you get out of a car, get hit by another car that’s trying to make that really awkward U-​turn to exit this dreadful place.
This parking lot is THE reason I do not frequent La Jolla Village Square often. Dealing with the parking lot is just too much of a hassle sometimes.

Every single person in the entire history of this parking lot hates it. Because it sucks eggs. I have no idea how somebody thought to design it, then somebody approved it, then a group of people decided to build it, now they repave it and stuff instead of make it like a normal parking lot.
I love the horrible flow of traffic and really awkward half-​parking spaces almost as much as I love food poisoning, and the best part is that you probably will not find a spot in a good location unless you lurk for a while. Just try not to get in an accident or hit somebody in those tight spaces full of angry, rich La Jollans before you park.
Seriously, this parking lot SUCKS and everyone knows it. Now it’s Unilocal Official.
