La Cueva Nostalgia

Interesting little vintage shop. The children’s clothing rack outside was what caught my attention from the street. The owners really know how to choose their stuff! Like other reviewers said, lots of oddities. Also a great selection of vintage western wear and boots. A pair of vintage Frye boots and Minnetonka mocs caught my eye, but alas weren’t my size. My husband struck up a conversation with the owner about hot rods and the like. He ended up buying a cool t-​shirt and a hot rod magazine. The generous owner threw in some extra goodies, even one for my son! I’ve read so many stories about how vintage/​consignment shop owners can be snooty. Not at this shop! I hope they stick around for a long time. We’ll be back next time we’re in town.

I finally got to go here the other day and was not disappointed. Sweet curios, oddities, and things you didn’t know you needed. I can’t really comment on product turnover; I’m not sure how often they get new stuff, but it’s definitely worth a stop.
Prices were reasonable-​to-​inexpensive.

This place is seriously rad. Many oddities, especially with southwestern and local interest. Great selection of leather boots and some interesting clothes and bags. There’s even stuff for kids! I found a couple pair of child-​size boots, but eventually left with a hooded mink coat for my 4 year old. I was pretty excited.
It was surprisingly kid-​friendly inside. The guy working didn’t appear worried about my child at all, and even told her she could pick out an arrowhead or sand dollar, (if it was okay with me, of course). Very friendly dude.
Will definitely be going back.

This place is LEGIT. Reminds me of my old living room in my old apartment. Jam packed with KILLER oddities and curios. Thank god San Diego finally has a store like this. If you’re into vintage weird unusual odd items, you NEED to stop in here. You’ll flip your lid, guaranteed.

Finally something good coming in to South Park. This place is amazing. Step back in time with the most flavor ever. Don’t even know how they acquire this stuff, but I want it all. Go check it out and get something cool for yourself.
Tip: Call ahead of time. They don’t run the typical store hours yet.
