Klarissa Rivera

Klarissa has been doing my hair for over 12yrs. I have had many stylist prior to her. Not finding one that would do what they wanted not what I wanted. Or doing what I thought they understood and did not. I have my color and cuts done by Klarissa. We have gone through many styles and colors and I have loved them all.
I love being the only one she is working on so she is focused on me only until I am done. Thanks for listening to me and doing such great job… CALL her if you want an honest person and someone with great hands and a great eye.

Few things are as satisfying to me as being able to visit a salon and know ahead of time that my hair will be transformed by the time I leave, without the slightest bit of worry that the stylist is anything less than perfect.
I have hair that is, well… difficult, at best. It’s long and, due to a medical condition, it tends to get very dry and uncooperative. It’s been bleached blonde for the better part of the last six years, but processing was a nightmare made worse by every stylist I tried before Klarissa. Unfailingly, I would spend at least three hours and a substantial amount of money only to end up with splotchy-​colored hair. And, seemingly, no one could comprehend how to cut and style long hair with bangs.
Klarissa was recommended to me, and I feel so lucky to have crossed paths with her. The first time I went in, I barely even had to explain how I wanted my hair cut. Unlike all my previous stylists, she immediately knew what I wanted and was able to give me the most flattering and up-​to-​date cut ever. She even corrected the mess left by my last stylist. Instead of the three-​hour bleach job I was used to, she coaxed my hair to take the best color it’s ever been able to achieve, and she smoothed out and removed all the weird tone splotches… in only thirty minutes! I left the salon in complete amazement that first day.
Since then, I’ve gone to Klarissa regularly and she has never disappointed. In fact, she miraculously seems only to get better and better. My hair always looks and feels absolutely beautiful after I visit her salon, and the sheen lasts for quite a while. She’s amazing at updos… just before a photo shoot, she deftly recreated a retro look for me. My mother, who was adept in her day at elegant, classical 1960s styles, was flabbergasted that someone who wasn’t even born in the 60s has such an authenticity and natural talent in replicating those looks.
To complete the perfect package, Klarissa is extremely pleasant to visit and has a knack for making her customers feel relaxed. I’m normally a very introverted person and yet, from the first visit, I felt more like a friend than a customer. That’s a very rare experience for me. She’s also so much fun and so easy to like! We share a lot of laughs, and she’s made what used to be a dreaded chore for me into comfortable salon visits to look forward to.
One last thing: She plays the BEST music! Next time you’re in Kensington, make sure to look up Klarissa at the Clip Art Salon. Your hair will thank you!

Klarissa is by far the best hair stylist I have ever been to. When I first moved here from Indiana, I could not find a hair stylist that I liked. I randomly walked in one day to her salon at the UTC mall and have not been anywhere else! I have been with her for over 3 years (even when she moved to Kensington) and wouldn’t dare get my hair cut by anyone other than Klarissa!
Klarissa is friendly, observant, makes you feel at ease and makes great recommendations according to your hair needs. I have very fine hair (but a lot of it) and before I came to her, I had a hard time managing my hair. But with her recommendation and cut, I don’t have to worry what it will look like — I know she did a great job! I would recommend going to Klarissa any day — hands down the BEST!
