Stopped in here tonight after reading the reviews on Unilocal and checking out there web page. Place is closed for remodeling. Signs point to the café which was also closed when I walked there. It would have been nice to see on there web page. Pet peeve when companies do not keep their web pages up to date with hours. Maybe when they are done I’ll give it a try in several months.

Some of the best-cooked steak I’ve ever had. Seriously, if you’re ever in the area, you should try out Kelly’s.

I have to say, I didn’t eat here, only had some wine at the bar. Therefore, my one-star rating is based on décor(and smell) only. I can only imagine this place is a magnet for the«early bird special», if you catch my drift. Sorry, Kelly’s.

I so wanted to like this place, but from the moment we stepped inside, we were let down. There is a really bad smell coming form the carpeting. The décor was old, dated and dingy. The people were screaming and yelling at the piano bar which made it difficult to enjoy the meal. We ordered the prime rib. It was a bloody unflavored mess, the baked potatos were burned, the creamed corn was burned, and the creamed spinach was old. We spent over 100 dollars for food we could not eat. The waitress was nice and very pleasant.

This place caters to two types of people, travelers who want to eat close to their hotel and elderly people. The décor looks like a 1970’s grandmas kitchen. I ordered the NY strip. At close to $ 30 one would hope it would have flavor, nope bland as can be. My wife had the their smallest cut. It was cold and had no flavor. I thought she would throw her arm out with the amount of shaking she had to do when adding salt and pepper. The portions are big, but the food is bland. The only other diners were a elderly couple and some out of towners who looked pissed as I was for paying close to $ 70 for two very bland meals. The reason for 2 stars is the waitress was very nice.

This place looks like a morgue in the bar area. The piano bar singers suck giving you migraine. Poor service by the ladies there, too. Food is good but way overpriced… I am not sure how this place stays in business… Lots of elderly people… Looks like a run down bingo parlor… This place sucks! THISPLACEISSCREAMINGFOR A REMODEL!!!

Was here on a Thursday night, around 9:30 pm with my husband and daughter. Yeah, the place really looks old, but the food is good. The piano people and other patrons were really going at it over on the bar side. Noisy, but it was entertaining to listen too. Some really, really good singers, and a couple of of not-so-good. (Note to the restaurant — when it’s piano bar night, turn off the music in the dining area — it just clashed.) We had prime rib, sirloin steak and filet mignon. Wow, each was cooked perfectly, and my picky daughter even liked her red mashed potatoes(they were excellent). I’m picky about my prime rib, and my medium rare piece was just right. I didn’t care for the creamed corn — seemed like it was corn in condensed milk. Ech. Our salads were good, and the picky one really liked her balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Oddly enough, when we came in at 9:30, there was only one other dining party, but by the time we left, there were several other groups who had come in — maybe after-game diners? Good place, and sometimes, the«old-fashioned» looking places are the ones that still know how to do beef…

Yes, the décor is out of the 50s; but the service is amazing and the NY strip was absolutely mouth watering!

Do not let the Denny’s look and midrange steakhouse prices fool you, the food is flavorful and the service is great. Melody and Karen are both professional servers who also know how to relax when appropriate. The food is cooked just so, to order. Dietary restrictions are accommodated with enthusiasm. Tonight Cynthia is taking care of me. Professional and fun just like I’ve come to expect of Kelly’s! Thanks, everyone.

The worst service ever. My family and I had a horrendous experience. We went on a Wednesday night. The service was inexcusably slow. We waited at least 15 minutes in between each request. My husband had to hand over and pay for the bill himself because it took so long. We’ll never go there again! If I could I would give it no stars!

Very Friendly staff but also agree with others on the need for updating the place. Food was good but would not go back for the high price of the food.

I felt like I was in the twilight zone or fear and loathing in hotel circle. Seriously. I was going to get dinner but the place creeped me out and smelled like death. Stayed to finish my drink and booked it out of there! Weird piano bar situation. yikes!

Alright so this place looks like you walked into an old couples living room in the 50’s. Whoever makes the decorating decisions should seriously reconsider what they’re doing with this place. That being said, the food is delicious!!! Man oh man, drool! Tender steaks. Portions are decent enough that you’ll need a to go box. I was able to cut my steak with a PLASTIC knife when I ate it at home!!! It was sooo tender! Ok so the desserts are to die for… Seriously delicious and HUGE! You’ve been warned! I’m convinced my fellow Unilocalers as well as myself are missing out on a whole lot of food out there coming from hotel restaurants. There’s a whole other world of food out there that’s yet to be discovered. This steakhouse nestled within a hotel is a well kept secret. Happy hunting.

The food is traditional MEAT and veggies. TOPNOTCH. Even the appetizers are great, though some additional variety would be an improvement. The piano bar is a great touch. It seems the locals come out to support the pianist and sing, but even some out-of-town guests get in on the fun. The entire package turns dinner into a San Diego«local event.» On any given night, Joe might also get a visit from a music pro with the night off to give the audience an extra treat.

Good food, and plenty of it. The waitress made a mistake on my order, but quickly and pleasantly fixed it. My only complaint is that it is a piano bar, and the musician and singer were poor.

Great prime rib special on Tuesday! Decent portion — way more than I can eat! And with soup or salad, two sides — tons of food. And they were very nice to my kiddos — 5, 3 and 1. Always important. The creamed spinach was da bomb! Lots of parmesan.

15 dollar prime rib night on Tuesdays is the fucking bomb. We all know that those coffin dodgers are notoriously picky about what they eat, so its no surprise that the steaks here are nothing short of being the absolute shit.

A hotel restaurant with a good steak house? Yeah right! I was more than hesitant and after hearing poor reports from people that had been there the night before. But, we tried it anyway? I had a bone-in prime rib, medium rare, and that’s what I got. Tender and seasoned well, the prime rib could not have been much better. Since I can’t remember what sides I had, I will have to say that they were forgettable. With only three other Unilocal reviews and the sub par reports I fielded beforehand i was ready for a let down but what I got was a damn good meal.

Maybe it was just a bad night… the place was DEAD. Service was sub par(but the bartender was very kind), the food was horribly overcooked… Unfortunately, Kelly’s isn’t likely to get a second visit out of me…
