Paper warehouse for the serious buyer. Or… for the designer looking for something to make prints stand out. Or… for the DIY bride making her own invitations. Or… anyone who needs paper by the 500 sheets. Or envelopes in bulk. Or, or, or… well, a good fit for any old paper enthusiast, I guess. Nice friendly staff + the only game in town of its kind that I know of.

I have been ordering paper for our company for several years now. I usually just call Rudy and let him know, and my order is delivered the next day. Everyone is extremely helpful, whether it is a phone order or I go in to the store. Lot’s of specialty paper, too!

The staff is über polite, friendly and helpful! I needed to find envelopes for my invites and also paper for other misc. nonsense. I originally bought some paper from some paper store at the Forum in Carlsbad and the paper at Kelly was 5x’s thicker and less expensive. They have many types of paper and after my many questions they remained patient and accommodating :) 5 stars!

The good: As a designer I appreciate the inventory and price point that Kelly paper offers. They are also good about ordering in anything that might be out of stock, usually by next day(assuming you have a cooperative sales person, see below). Multiple locations are a plus. The bad: You best know what you want and not need assistance if my last experience at the Cudahy St. location is any indication of customer service or lack there of. My experience with the salesperson appropriately named Rudy was an exercise in putting up with his serious lack of basic customer service orientation, dismissive attitude and in general rude behavior. Seems that those of us who have work should be grateful for such and not be dumping bad vibes on the folks who patronize the business for which you work. Won’t bother with this location in the future.

This is a large warehouse full of paper. It’s mostly full of reams of nice office paper, but there’s a good section of specialty papers too. I make my own cards, and have been paying top dollar for fancy cardstock and vellum and other materials since moving here a year ago. This place has what I need, and is reasonably priced compared to other places I have been. The clearance bins contain some super stuff. The service can be slow, but is friendly. Unfortunately, I can’t get all the materials I need here, so I’ll have to continue exploring. The place is a little difficult to get to. It’s behind a storage unit building and is not visible from the street. I stumbled upon it by accident when I returned a Penske truck to the self storage place and saw a sign in the driveway pointing to Kelly Paper.

These guys are great. I was used to shopping at Epedx(spelling?) in Fort Lauderdale, so looking for something comparable for a designer was on the top of the list. They have plenty of papers to choose from, the service is great and they can help you if you are looking for something not in stock. A definite recommendation if you are looking for that special paper for your project.
