We have two girls, now 13 and 11, and have been going to this studio for over 5 years. Both of our girls have taken piano lessons with Natasha for many years, and thoroughly enjoy their time at Kalabash. Natasha is an awesome teacher — patient, supportive and motivates our girls immensely. Our girls have also taken voice lessons, art lessons, and the art camp at Kalabash. It’s a great place. Natasha is fantastic and extremely talented. We love it.

My two kids have been attending Kalabash School of Music + the Arts for the past two years, for piano lessons with Natasha Kozaily when she was a teacher under the previous owners, as well as now that she’s the co-owner of the School. Both my girls really connect with Natasha, and what I personally like as a parent is that she views music as an integral part of a child’s overall education. My kids enjoy their piano lessons because they are a wonderful mix of instruction on music theory, music appreciation as well as creative exploration. My kids have also participated in a week-long art camp and singing/theater camp during the summer, which were well run, fun and affordable. The teachers and staff at Kalabash strive to create a unique and inviting place for our community to be creative, get inspired and learn about music and art. With a ever-growing diverse slate of classes and other one-time events, there’s something for everyone in the family!

My two daughters take voice lessons and one daughter takes piano lessons with Natasha, the owner. They love coming to the studio, not only because they are progressing very quickly but also because Natasha herself is so inspiring to them. She is herself a performing musician and her passion for music is contagious. She continuously gives them advice on how to write their own songs and encourages them to perform. There are regular recitals, song-writing workshops, informal gatherings of the kids to make music together, and even the possibility to record their songs in her recording studio. I believe she recognizes that simply taking music lessons is not enough to keep kids inspired. She helps them develop their own personal musicianship.
