So. I decided to get some new furniture after a zillion years! Yay me! I am past excited… Now it was time for me to decide on what to do with the old furniture as the furniture company that I bought the furniture from doesn’t offer disposal(the prices are dirt cheap and good quality… review to come after delivery). I was then tasked to figure out what to do with the old. I scheduled a few pick-ups with local charities. One was scheduled last week. One of them was scheduled today… Neither one of them worked out. so I was stuck with 3 pieces of large furniture and delivery is due today after 2 p.m. I was hoping to get this done the«cheap» way. by donating. but since that didn’t work out, I knew I had to break out the old wallet. LOL! I Unilocaled a few companies … then I went on Craigslist to see if I could find an inexpensive, independent hauler or hauling company… I contacted quite a few(between Unilocal and Craigslist) then I came along Cyrus’ info from Junk Fairy. This was a Craigslist find as I hadn’t gotten to them on Unilocal. I called him and explained what my situation which was around 1 p.m. Cyrus was helpful and accommodating. He quoted what I thought was a fair price range, from the least to the most expensive. We put something on the calendar the same day at 5 p.m. which was a total blessing because I needed the furniture out by today. They showed up right on time. I got a courtesy call from Cyrus 15 – 20 minutes before they arrived. They picked up the furniture and got it loaded on the truck swiftly. I was charged in the middle of the price range that he gave me. I was very pleased about that. I made sure to include a tip for quick and friendly service. I would refer these guys to anyone. Good people with fair prices. They were quite a bit more inexpensive than any of the other companies that I called. I was sold by the service that I received during a few of our interactions prior to pick up. I really appreciate them helping me out the very last minute. I made sure to ask Cyrus if he was on Unilocal so that I could leave an excellent review. I did read a somewhat negative review on here about this company… Why would anyone expect a so called«tip» to be considered in a quote for a secondary service? A tip is a gift for good service at the time that services were rendered, not for the customer to show entitlement and feel that the said tip should be applied to a subsequent service. Just my two cents.

The owner arrived on time and very courteous. Removed the wine cooler very carefully. I would use home again. Very reasonable price. Highly recommended.

What a delight. I was going down the freeway and grabbed their number off of there trailer. I had some stuff laying around my yard and garage that I kept on procrastinating to take to the dump. They came when the appointment was. They hauled everything I asked them too. Fair price too. They even swept up the sand that was at the bottom of the pile. Great Service! I would recommend them.

I called the Junk Fairy to remove a sleeper sofa that was not able to be donated because the sleeper bed frame was bent. I scheduled a donation pick up, but on the scheduled day the item was rejected. Even though the sofa was in good condition, Salvation Army would not take it due to the bent frame. Since I was having carpeting installed in the room the next day, I needed it out now. Armand came to pick up the sofa within several hours of my call. He told me approximately when he would come, and then called again when he was about 30 min away. He and his partner quickly moved and loaded the sleeper sofa… taking care not to damage my floors or doors. He charged a fair price for a quick turn around removal. I would definitely call him again. Thanks, Junk Fairy!

Arrived on time. Nice, professional father-son team. I thought $ 250 was a good price for a couch, large chair, box spring and mattress, two old computer monitors, and a few more items. I tipped them $ 25, so $ 275. I’d scheduled the Salvation Army to pick up my nicer donatable stuff the next day. They were supposed to be there between 10:30 to 1:30. At 2:30 they called and said they couldn’t make it! Yikes! So I called back Junk Fairy. I told them my plight and asked if they could help and perhaps give me a discount, since this was all decent stuff they could either sell or donate. Arman said yes, and they came over. My «discount» turned out to be $ 220 instead of $ 250 – whoopee do! And I did tip them $ 25 the day before, so a $ 5 discount?! When they can turn around and sell my items if they wanted? I said«how about an even $ 200» but I still felt screwed. But when you’re in the process of moving, you’re stressed, sleep deprived, and don’t feel like haggling. Oh well. Live and learn.

I had the opportunity to meet the Junk Fairy owners on Sunday, April 12, 2015. I had a huge 7 foot couch that I needed removed ASAP. We were in the process of doing some major Spring cleaning and this eyesore needed to go! I found the Junk Fairy on Craigslist. I texted and called several hauling companies here in San Diego. They all charged almost double of what the Junk Fairy charged. There was no hidden fees or additional fees for Sunday pickup. This is a family run business, and I had the awesome opportunity to meet the owners. They were super friendly, fast, efficient and on time. I called them at 10:00 a.m., they were here within the hour. Thank you Junk Fairy! I will be recommending you to family and friends! You guys were AWESOME!
