During the busy hours you tend to get your food a lot faster compared to when it’s empty for some reason. Foods not that bad except the hash browns tend to be on the soggy side. Waiters are hard at hearing. I asked for a glass of water and the waiter came back with butter and took all my utensils when I still had pancakes to eat. But all in all the foods not that bad, just don’t expect service to be on par.

Ugh. Haven’t been here in years but my daughter wanted to see what it was about. It was terrible. Ordered the bacon, sausage, eggs over medium, and hash browns with all you can eat pancakes. How could you go wrong? Everything was dripping with grease, you could tell it’s been sitting on one of those buffet pans in the kitchen. The hashbrowns were so dry from sitting around they were hard to even chew. I think this was the first time ever I did not finish my hashbrowns and I even asked for a new«fresh» one because the first plate was cold. Never again, too many other decent breakfast places that cost the same.

The food was great however the waitress(Crystal) was very rude and argumentative). My son ordered a meal and it was some confusion as to whether or not he ordered a stack of pancakes instead. Once my son told her that he did order of meal she argued with him and told him he didn’t and that he may have been confused on what he ordered. She continued to argue and then decided to say whatever what do you want now. The manager did however come over and compensate us however at no restaurant should a waitress be so rude. The food was great just recommend training on customer service.

Not many breakfast spots in Mira Mesa so this will have to do. Better than Denny’s. I don’t like pancakes too much so I order the big steak omelette which is enough to satisfy anyone. Clean and friendly staff. Strange location but parking is plentiful as a result.

Food was decent but service was very slow and the staff was talking about customers as off people couldn’t hear them. Had to send my order back to have it made the way it was ordered. The place is empty only 3 tables with small parties and the full staff can’t handle it, not the best way to start your business in 2016 guys

We ordered a carafe of orange juice and out poured a roach! The manager did not offer an apology, but simply took the carafe and the glass away. Needless to say we left as the manager was returning with another carafe of not so fresh squeezed orange juice. Appetite ruined!

Whoever is the chef today at 9AM did a horrible job on presentation. I ordered 2 eggs bennie to-go and my food made me lose my hunger! The eggs and avocado looked as if it was sloppily thrown in the to-go box. My food was so sloppy and the only flavor i got was the sweetness of the bread. There was little to no flavor. Not coming back for awhile.

There isn’t really many breakfast spots in Mira Mesa and I usually don’t eat at these places for breakfast. It can get a little packed so be prepared. I ordered the breakfast sampler which is your typical eggs, hash browns, sausage, bacon, and pancakes. It was ok, just like the service but the food did fill me up and kept me content till lunch time. IHOP and Denny’s is the only option in this area for a decent yet basic sit down-type breakfast so if you’re hungry, you can’t go wrong since you already know what to expect here.

Came here on a busy Saturday morning for some chocolate chip pancakes date with my coworker. When I walked in I told the hosts(girl and guy) I was looking for a friend but they were too busy flirting with each other that’s why I didn’t give a 4 star review. So I awkwardly walked past them just walking around the restaurant by myself to look for her. It’s okay. I found her because she was yelling my name across the room. Okay besides that… My chocolate chip pancakes were perfection. Super fluffy like I’ve been craving. I barely eat so I ate maybe a quarter of it. My friend got chicken and waffles. Waffles looked amazing. She ate it all so it had to be good. Food took about 10 – 15 minutes so not too bad for easy breakfast food to whip up. The servers are extremely nice but only if you’re a regular they will converse with you.

I don’t normally come here but my bf was hungry and was craving pancakes and .well… IHOP was the closest to us so we decided to give it a try after these years. Once we walked in, it was busy. The host quickly seated us. We ordered coffee. I got the eggwhite omelet with bacon and came with a side of hash browns which I didn’t like. My omelet seemed pretty basic… something I couldve whipped up at home and The hash browns were a bit stale. My bf got the breakfast sampler which came with eggs, 2 strips of bacon, 2 sausages, 2 slices of ham, hash browns and a side of pancakes. The pancakes were so good especially with the butter pecan syrup! Our server was great. She was quick with our coffee right when we ordered and took our orders right away.

First time at any IHOP in a while, but wanted some breakfast, so I gave the one near my house a try. I ordered the Belgian Waffle combo, which come with eggs and bacon. I was the only person in the place at the time(7am on a Tuesday) and my waffle came out cold, and my eggs were underdone. Bacon was good, though. The waffle was also good(even if not hot), and I like the selection of different syrups(old fashioned maple, blueberry, butter pecan, strawberry). The eggs tasted powdered, though. I may not have noticed if they were cooked properly. The service was ok. Nothing great; she never came to check on me after giving me my food, but I had everything I needed. It was a little more expensive than I thought it’d be, and therefore a little overpriced, in my opinion. Definitely more than I’d spend at Denny’s. Not quite enough value for me.

I usually go to Denny’s, the one on miramar but decided on IHOP because it’s now a lot closer to my new place. I think I’ll be coming here from now on because the restaurant itself is extremely clean(feels kind of fancy too with all the white pillars on the inside). The service was awesome ! Hershey was my waitress and she was very attentive. She was also very patient with me since it’s a brand new menu for me and because they have so many options, I was quite overwhelmed. This review is technically 4.5÷5(minus 0.5 because they only have one cream filled crêpe. And it was TOO much cream and tartness) but I think it deserves a little rounding up.

This is the IHOP that my girlfriend and I choose to go to. In this area, when you want pancakes, you pretty much come here. Like most IHOPs and other chains, their specials are usually a really good deal and so I went with the banana pudding and nilla wafer pancakes and they were probably my favorite of the trio. When we got there we were seated right away, which was convenient because I needed to get to work soon. After sitting down, the waiter promptly came over, introduced himself, and asked us what we would like to drink. After bringing back our waters, we were ready to order. My girlfriend got the blackberry and peach cobbler pancake combo and I got the banana pudding and nilla wafer combo. This day, it seemed like we waited a little longer(longer than our average wait, which isn’t that long) because they were pretty busy, so it was understandable. When our food came out, it was nice and hot and delicious as always. These pancakes were by far one of my favorites because they weren’t super sweet. We have gone a couple times this summer and I’m sure we will come back again. The only problem I had this time was that our waiter wasn’t really attentive and only filled up my water once and if you know me, you know that I drink a ton of water.

Good Day Everyone, Now I «usually» don’t mention EVERY little detail about certain places, in this case, I feel that it’s a must. I walked into this IHOP(International House of Pancakes), Mmm pancakes, and just like James Brown said, «Good God»! This place is FREAKING clean!!! For a second I thought I walked into the wrong place. I was greeted at the door by two kind workers and I immediately felt comfortable. I mean Fatkid comfortable! The«feel good music»(50’s &60’s) is playing in the background and just singing along! «Yeah Man»!!! I sat down and literally almost took my boots off!(I would’ve to, if other people around me weren’t eating. Old boots. Shhh) The point is that this IHOP sets the bar for other IHOPs in the area. You know in the hospitality business there’s a saying that, «Attitude reflects leadership» and in this case, the IHOP in Mira Mesa is NOW my new favorite IHOP. BIG shoutout to Mrs. Brandy B. my server and my «hostess with the most»(Brandys Mom) Mrs. Nicky for making me feel so welcomed. Great job ladies… Thank you. Well that’s it for me on this one, «Until next time America», this is Big Sid out!!! P. S. The food is good too!!! Ha ha ha

Today, after coming in for brunch, the wait time to be seated on this Memorial Day was not too long. Food was served at a good pace, our waiter did a phenomenal job, and the food was amazing!

Happy National Pancake Day! IHOP was, of course, crazy busy but fortunately, the service was still great & the food was served fresh & delicious. Besides the free pancakes, which were slightly crispy on the outside & fluffy in the inside, my boyfriend & I each ordered the Quick Two Egg Breakfast: toast, hash browns, 2 eggs, 2 bacons. Great breakfast for dinner & for a fantastic cause!

Came in because we were craving a pancake breakfast, but were too lazy to shop for one and cook ourselves. IHOP seemed like a pretty safe bet. I can’t complain about the pancakes, they were certainly good(I had the double chocolate chip, and boyfriend tried the new york cheesecake ones which came with cheesecake bites cooked in. yum), but I didn’t care for the sides at all. My scrambled eggs were runny, which grossed me out, and the bacon was really kind of soggy. Oh, and the iced coffee that I ordered was the exact same stuff that I buy by the carton from the store– I know it’s just IHOP but I was hoping they’d have some legit cold brewed iced coffee or something. Not a terrible breakfast by any means, but also not a breakfast I’m happy paying nearly $ 30 for. I’d much rather go to Denny’s.or just stop being so lazy!

Went this morning with the ‘rents. Ordered an iced mocha, coffee and flavored coffee. They got crepes with whipped cream & fruit. I ordered half sandwich w\ spinach, red pepper, egg. tasty! With a side of fresh fruit, pineapples, melon, and grapes. I devoured the pineapples: P nom nom. They were fresh & juicy! I like that they free refills on the iced mocha Sweet! Be sure to order that again. Our waitress was kind and checked up on us frequently.

IHOP is just your basic everyday place for fast breakfast. But surprisingly, they have quite a large menu with some items that are hard to choose between. Some items are either a hit or a miss. Here are some of my experiences. Setting: Many many tables and booths. Bright, clean, and easy to get around. Plentiful of parking. SERVICE: I noticed that the male employees don’t greet you when you walk in. But at least we get seated quickly every time. Most I had to wait was 5 minutes. Female employees are always friendly. Food can take a loooooong time to be served. I think they’re under staffed. FOOD: Stuffed French Toast Combo $ 9.95 I loooove their combos because you get to choose a main entrée and then get a side of eggs, hash browns, and bacon/OR/sausage links. This french toast was thick, creamy, and delicious. Chicken Florentine Crepes — Chicken breast strips with spinach, mushrooms and onions, Swiss cheese and hollandaise sauce. All their omelettes are huge and are worth all the money! This one in particular was delicious. Everything melted together and the hollandaise sauce was great. Swedish Crepes Combo $ 9.95 The swedish crêpe was a big disappointment because there was nothing special about it. Just a small amount of berries and berry cream cheese. Spinach, Roasted Red Pepper & Cheese Griddle Melt — Sautéed spinach and roasted red peppers with an omelette and melted cheeses on grilled artisan sourdough bread. Surprisingly this sandwich was quite yummy. They had a nice grilled sourdough bread with all the ingredients melted inside. Coloarado Omelette — Filled with the savory things you crave — bacon, pork sausage, shredded beef, ham, fresh onions and green peppers and Cheddar cheese. Enjoy it with salsa on the side. This is another delicious omelette. Everything was tender and soft and melted together. I didnt really like the ham because it tasted kind of like cheap salty ham. Plus the cheddar cheese that was topped was not melted. Just sprinkled. All in all, i recommend getting the omelettes and french toasts over anything else. A good place to go for cheap and easy breakfast/brunch with the family and friends.
