Hair Expo

I had a great haircut from Cindy today. She was so nice to come in on a day she was planning to be off just to fit me in! I love my haircut, she took time to get everything just right.

I have been having my hair cut and colored by Cindy at Hair Expo for 7 – 8 years. I have a huge mane of crazy thick coarse hair that walks through the door looking like hag-​land, and is turned into utter glory by Cindy. I am a natural redhead but time had muddied it to not quite red. No more. Cindy does high and lowlights and my hair looks absolutely fantastic.
Great cut, great color, and a great chat.
My 14 year old daughter also gets her hair cut by Cindy and she is always very happy with her cut… and she is a teenager. Teenagers hate everything.

Used to live in Pacific Beach. My son discovered this place when he was in Middle School. It was close enough so he could walk the block from our house. Then we moved farther away so I started driving him to his appointments.
The owner Cindy would ask me if I wanted a haircut. My hair has been the bane of my existence for forever. I have never known what to do with it. It is very fine, thin, limp and resistant to curling. For most of my life I have worn it long and loose and parted in the middle like a damn hippy (worked in the 60’s…now, not so much). I was in my thirties before I ever went to a hair salon. I’m developmentally delayed when it comes to fashion, especially my hair.
Now that you have my background, I’ll get back to my story. Cindy is so nice I finally gave in and said yes. This woman is a genius. She didn’t cut it short (would have scared the hell out of me) but she shaped it and made it look awesome. I’m not sure what magic she used but my hair looks fuller and fluffier and smoother all at the same time. My bangs no longer look choppy. I can take care of it myself by just washing and blow drying.
I now live in Las Vegas but do not allow anyone else to cut my hair. I drive back to San Diego when I need a haircut. (I know… what a burden to have to go to San Diego… the ugly ocean… the cool weather). My son is now at USC but he still tries to make it down to Cindy when he can. She cuts my husband’s hair too. She is terrific, fun and friendly. We love her!
