We bought Yamaha baby grand GB1K from here recently. In the last Thanksgiving’s week, we just stopped by the store with no plan to purchase, but we made a contract when we came out. Mr. Ken Schoenwetter showed us all grand pianos from top to bottom of new and used ones. We were impressed with his explanation and performance for us to find the right piano. We had to wait about two months until we can move from different state to our new home in San Diego. They hold the stock and reserved the discounted price for us with $ 200 deposit. Two months later we paid the balance, and delivery was scheduled just two days later. It was delivered and installed very professionally. Mr. Ken even helped me finding my son’s new piano teacher. With renovation finally complete on our new home, partner-​in-​crime and I were in the market for a piano. We saw the reviews of Greene on Unilocal and decided to check out the place on Black Friday. While we wanted a piano, we really had no idea where to begin. Thankfully Ken Schoenwetter from Greene helped us the minute we got in the door. Ken patiently listed to our priorities and then introduced us to Yamaha’s hybrid pianos. We were amazed by the product at the time, and Ken’s genuine respect for the product convinced us to purchase a Yamaha N1.
Greene’s professional delivery people arrived a few weeks later with the piano. Several weeks after having the piano, we are still amazed on a daily basis at how good it plays & sounds. The keys truly are just like the ones on a grand piano, and the sound is EXACTLY like the real thing. We are truly motivated to improve our piano skills now, and we have Ken & Greene Music to thank for it.

I was looking for a piano for my 5-​year old girl to start her class this past December. With zero knowledge on piano, I was quite nervous to buy one on Craigslist, although I would most likely to get it cheaper there. I went to Greene Music based on recommendation from my daughter’s piano teacher. Our sales person, Mr. Farkas, took time and gave me lots of information to help me decide. He showed me all the available upright pianos and their differences. Greene Music has improved with the new owners.. we bought a digital piano there in 2005 and I remember that I had to haggle on prices and that there wasn’t great selection. Now, in 2015, I bought a second digital piano and found great prices (since they are now owned by a group that buys at much higher volume) and greater selection than ever before. It was nice to simply enter their digital piano room and walk around the room and play the different machines. Having actual grand pianos in there too made it even easier to compare all the pianos. I worked with Noël and he was very helpful. I was able to take advantage of the year-​end sale by purchasing an old model year digital piano.

Had a really good experience at Greene Music. Was in the market for an acoustic piano and got a good deal on a Yamaha B2 silent due to the end of year clearance sale. David Farkus, the sales rep, was very patient and walked us through all the different models of acoustic pianos till we decided on something we liked. The piano was delivered a few days later and we’ve been having fun playing it since. All in all buying a piano was made very easy here.

Ken clearly articulated and demonstrated the differences between the pianos available and guided us through the selection process, highlighting important features one might consider. I purchased a piano at the liquidation sale in Sept 2015. The piano is Yamaha Clavinova CLP-​535. Yamaha web was listed $ 2500, and I got it $ 2160 OTD.
This store is focused on acoustic pianos. Selection range is down from cheap upright to expensive full size grand. Tons of selection and they are happy to show you different options base on your need. If you are looking for a stage keyboard or synth, you are out of luck.
Not all sales representatives are good piano player at the store to demonstrate (at least not the case during the liquidation sale). I recommend to bring someone have experience with acoustic piano before making a purchase decision. As usual, a sales representatives is always try to sell the most expensive piano you can afford. This is how a store works and I was totally fine with it, you just need to know what you want and make the decision yourself.
I think the purchase process can be improved, it was a little bit too long. Otherwise the experience was pretty good.

Greene Music offered Yamaha Baby Grand Piano two weeks ago. I visited with my family with appointment. Salesman, Noël guided my family more than 30 minutes to show assortment with kind explanation. It was great help for us to decide GB1K model on that day. Additionally they gave me package for my tuning guide after a few weeks. This is our first Grand Piano so I got quite many questions however this shop persistently explained and processed in the end. If you have plan to buy new one even used ones, they look ready to consult you inquiry.

I came in looking for a digital keyboard and The Greene Music staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. They ensured they understood my needs rather than pushing any particular product or brand. Maurice was great and brought his son, who also works there, to answer any questions I had. I ended choosing a great Yamaha NU1. The entire process was smooth and had 12 months same as cash financing. If I ever need to upgrade, I will definitely check out this store again.

Love Greene Music! I bought a digital piano here 14 years ago, and it was time to upgrade. Ken helped me pick out new a Yamaha Clavinova, and I was able to take advantage of the Labor Day Sales. They know pianos here, better than anywhere else I’ve visited, and they are happy to share which models have the best warranties, which can sometimes be hard to figure out. Great experience!

We walked in Greene’s browsing on August 1, and ended up having our upright delivered August 4. We were about to head out to a different piano store the next day to check out price but we stopped here as we found what we want, good price and was given expert advice from David. We came in for a specific foreign made upright as I grew up playing that, ended up with a handmade upright after talking with David. Highly recommended !
