Riley was a wonderful experience for definitely the type of massage I needed. All my tensions normally fall under worries, anxiety and a little depression(who wouldn’t be in today’s economy). I already take some meds for some of my symptoms but nothing beats a good massage. Riley’s philosophy and background in massage therapy is more involved than laying down and waiting for someone to thump on your body to submission so those aching muscles suddenly get back to normal. Before I booked the appointment, Riley already indicated that he does not do the deep tissue massage I normally would get from other massage therapist. On our first meeting, he made sure to ask what I needed and what my medical history is that might be helpful before the massage. Of course, in any case when someone asks for your medical or possible injuries are, its your discretion on what to reveal. The massage therapist does not need a psychological profile but giving information on what your body feels and maybe current medical conditions is very helpful for a thorough and good massage. The most important lesson I got from Riley that day before, during and after the massage is the importance of breathing. I have often gotten massages from my partner when I have little aches and pains I complain about and he often mentioned breathing but I didn’t really listened until a massage therapist actually told me so. Sorry honey, I will listen more to you always. Love you! Overall, it was a wonderful massage and what I really needed at the time. Of course, this is a singular opinion and hope that you talk to him before scheduling an appointment so that you are aware on what he can provide for you and what you expect from him.
