GB Sales Floor & Window Coverings

Next time you are looking for blinds and thinking about Home Depot– read what I have to say. This local company is AWESOME. I had some vertical blinds that I purchased about 10 years ago from GB. They were sticking and slipping so that they would no longer open and close. I thought about trashing them but decided to see if GB could actually repair them, (is that possible nowadays?) I took them out (to their company off Miramar Rd) and was greeting by the manager who immediately called for his repairman to come up front and take a look at them. The repairman returned and said that he could replace the «inners» of them, and when I said, «how much would it be?» — he said he would charge me for just the cost of parts — $ 10. I looked at him in amazement and said — «that’s all?» He completed the job with all new clips installed in the rail and new cords and chain. I was truly amazed — so amazed, that I gave him a tip for his work. The question I would ask you is, «If you bought these at Home Depot or on line — where would they have ended up? Your answer– probably in your dumpster, with you having to go get another set at the «discount» store. To have a local supplier to stand behind their product and even end up saving you money in the long run — I would highly recommend them. They also sell carpet and flooring. They are truly a nice personable company to deal with.

I’ve done business with GB for over a decade. Recently Phil Martoni went well out of his way to help me get my product effectively selected, ie. I was able to save 5 year old padding in a two bedroom apartment, and get the right color selection at a favorable price. The installation went very smooth a well. Thank you Phillip !

We have used this company for YEARS. They do blinds and carpets in our apartments that we manage. A++++++ They are on time — do a great job — great prices — quick turn around. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I went into GB Sales this week looking for some window shade fabric for a creative project I’m working on. Even though this wasn’t their usual request from a customer, manager Philip Martony went out of his way to find something that would work. (He told me they usually sell commercial floor and window coverings to companies and apartment managers.) I went home with a sample shade from Mr. Martony and an appreciation for the customer service at GB Sales.

This is the BEST flooring we’ve ever worked with and we always recommend them. We own rentals in 3 states: some that we manage ourselves and some we use property managers to manage so we have dealt with many different flooring companies over the years. We learned of this company from our property management company (Pacific Shore Management, whom we highly recommend as well) when they used them to install new carpet in one of the units of our rental property and saw that the pricing was really good. When we needed to replace the flooring in our Hillcrest condo to prepare it for being rented, we definitely wanted to get an estimate from them. Our condo was all carpet and we knew we wanted to use carpet again in the bedrooms upstairs but was not sure if we should go with real hardwood, engineered hardwood or laminate in the living/​dining room downstairs. We met with Philip at their show room and he was FANTASTIC to work with. Extremely knowledgeable, helpful, patient and professional. Most of the other sales people I met or spoke with over the phone from other companies were nowhere nearly as helpful or pleasant to speak with especially when it came to helping us to decide which type of flooring would be best for our condo. They carry a wide selection of all types of flooring (and window coverings) and had the BEST pricing by far for the materials and installation (we got at least 5 bids). We really liked that this company specializes in commercial properties (and that our property management company uses them a lot is a good sign) but also works on residential so we felt like we were getting the best expertise, value and resources of a bigger company but with the feel, accountability and personal service of a family owned company. And we liked that this company does it all and were impressed to find out how huge their carpet install team is (which means easy to schedule for quick install) and how skilled their hardwood/​laminate team is. We’ve learned that with flooring, it’s better to have one company do both for you vs going to one company for materials and a different one to install so there’s no blame game if something doesn’t turn out right. We were on a tight timeline to turnover the condo, so we really appreciated how Philip took that into account and immediately scheduled us in with the installation teams. And the install teams did a beautiful job with the carpet and laminate and everything was done on time. They were really friendly and professional too and Philip had them help us nail down the upstairs floorboards to stop the creaking that had been getting worse for a very nominal fee (much less than other contractors were quoting us; some said it couldn’t be done or require too much work!). Turning over a property can be so hectic, so we are thankful for GB for making the flooring aspect so smooth and easy!

My husband and I recently had GB Sales install new carpet in a rental condo that we own. This is the second time in about 5 years that we’ve used G. B Sales. They still had our original carpet measurements, so they didn’t need to go and remeasure. They were able to install it without us being there and we did all of our communication over the phone or email. We will be using this company again.
