El peor lugar donde puedes ordenar tus tortillas las trabajadoras bien estupidas no toman las órdenes cómo deben de ser no toman enserio su trabajo y nunca está el encargado para hablar con ellos

These tortillas are what dreams are made of. I bought $ 30 worth of them. This was enough to fill a backpack. I am not kidding. It was over 150 tortillas. I live in Seattle and had to get my fix when I got home. This should last me probably about a year. Prices are awesome. The ladies behind the counter are super nice too.

Best tortillas in San Diego and beyond! I buy the corn tortillas, they’ll be extra fresh and still warm. Consider indulging in the pork rinds, otherwise known as chicarones, so so good in a warm corn tortilla with a bit of sea salt, hot sauce and or salsa. Cost of a small bag is under $ 2 bucks, you’ll get about 6 tacos out of it, not a bad deal. Parking, pull into the little alley like area next to the shop, there’s about 8 stalls there. I’ve never had a problem parking. This place is definitely no thrills but… you’ll be happy you went!

Been coming here for fresh tortillas over ten years. No idea why it took me so long to write this review. Located near the corner of 25th& Imperial behind El Paisa Tacos. Parking lot is a narrow driveway with about eight spots that runs one way from Imperial to alley running between 24th&25th. If vans are parked there it can be tight. I don’t have a problem with that, but you may. Tortillas are in production all day from early morning to late afternoon. You get the tortillas still warm and you can watch them being made. 3lbs are $ 3.10. Great deal. Though best eaten fresh, they do keep two or three weeks in the fridge as long as the package is kept closed. Best way to reheat them is either directly on stove top gas burners or in a covered pre-heated pan. The tortillas are consistently very good and much, much better than what you get in large Supermarket chains. Note: A previous reviewer mentioned they had changed the tortilla recipe. This is true, but I think they changed back. They also sell freshly made Chicharrones, aka Pork Rinds or Pork Cracklings. They’re $ 1.25 per small bag. Totally worth it. Next time you’re at Gabriel’s get Tortillas and Chicharrones, rush home and make Tacos with them. Just add Tapatillo or Cholula and a little lime juice. Absolutely delicious!

Awesome place tortillas are the best and .25 cents — .50 cents I get more than enough for me. I will never buy out of a grocery store tortillas again. It would have to be and emergency if I do. Love this place and the people are nice.

Stop how ever you have chosen to function before It is rather irrelevant when you have made tamales Christmas Eve And got too drunk off of Tequila with your family (because isn’t that comforting, the smell of agave and the headache in the morning to ring in the 25th?) Just stop what you have done before. They have vegan masa here. It is really cheap too, like a dollar or so per pound. And it makes the best tamales Ones that you give to meat-eating friends and they get excited About how evenly the masa spreads Spreads the christmas cheer. The parking lot though, is terrifying So park on the street and think about someone you love as you walk across the street.

Best tortillas, ever. My friend’s mom drives from East County to Gabriel’s just for the tortillas. Man, they’re better here than in a lot of Tijuana restaurants!

The tortillas of all shapes and sizes look amazing. BUT… made a special first time trip to get chips. Fresh ones were being churned out and bagged, but the woman at the counter pointed me to the ones on the shelves. I should’ve insisted on a freshly bagged one(or she kindly should’ve offered as I did ask). The chips I got are nothing special… ordinary and certainly not fresh. Suppose I’d go back for tortillas sometime, but not soon.

I have yet to go to Gabriel’s, buy a bag or two of hot tortillas, and NOT eat one or two on the way home. Never gonna happen! Their corn tortillas are the best in the County. So fresh, so tasty and flavorful, and, when served warm out of the bag, a slice of heaven. Yummm yummm!

Discovered this place back when I lived in Golden Hill and I still make the trek from Oak Park just to get their tortilla chips and fresh corn tortillas. So so good.

Ok, I am warning you, do not sleep on this place. I have been coming here for close to thirteen years now. Gabriel’s Tortilleria makes the best corn tortillas in SD, hands down. Since they supply many if the area taco shops, and countless Mexican families, they never close. That means that before your next meal, you can walk up, and grab a kilo of fresh, hot tortillas to go(about $ 1.35 last week). And if you get home fast enough, you won’t even have to reheat the tortillas, just serve them out of the steamy bag. Normally, I eat at least two before I even get home. This place also has a small Mexican market where you can get eggs, chipotles, flour tortillas, juice, etc… Shame on all of you for eating those preservative laden, cardboard flavored tortillas found at your local supermarket.

I pretty much grew up on Gabriel’s corn tortilla’s, everyone in my neighborhood did also I think. It’s where you go when you need freshly made corn or flour tortillas or other goods to get your authentic mexican meal cookin, I needed to make Tamales for X-mas this year(vegan one’s) and they had masa(vegaterian style) ready to go, they have regular prepared and unprepared masa also. They came out so good. I owe it all to them. They have alot of other good treats and snacks in there like little mexican chocolates the real mexican kind and everything’s really in expensive. Im glad I live so close to this place. I’ll keep going here and nowhere else for all my tamale’need’s and for yummy fresh corn tortilla’s. It’s cool watching them being made right there in front of you also.
