Great place, with REAL barbers. I see Nelly every 2 – 3 weeks, and she always takes her time and gives me what I am looking for. Make sure to ask your stylist what look will work for your head shape and hair type, they know what they are talking about. Ask for Nelly when you go, she is truly the best!

Military. Picky about my fade. Floyds 99 gave me my first GREAT haircut in months. Service was quick and I didn’t have a wait time(I made an appointment 40 minutes early). I plan to return many, many more times.

I will never go back. Awful service and worse haircut. Plus, they charged me $ 24 when a buzz cut price is $ 17. She claimed it was due to using a #2 and a #1 for the cut.

I have been going here every 2 – 3 weeks for over a year now. Every experience I have her is good. I get my hair done by Madeline every chance I get. She is a phenomenal hair stylist and she is very consistent each and every time. Some stylist I go to do something different every time and it’s frustrating. The only compliant I would have is that this place only accepts day of reservations. I don’t get it but that’s their policy.

I’ve lived in San Diego for almost 2 years and had to hop from barber to barber because I couldn’t find a barber to cut my hair right and consistently. It wasn’t until I came here and got a cut from Brian that i finally found my barber. My boy Brian always does a great job and I’ll always refer to him with my family and friends. He does the best fades and tapers! I’ve even let him trim and line up my beard, which I’ve never let anybody do. Not only that, but he’s chill, friendly, and listens to what you’re asking for, even though you have a hard time finding terms for it. All in all, Brian is the best barber I’ve had and I only trust him to do it right.

Top of the line treatment! I’ve been coming here for a while now. I always have Madelene cut my hair and she never disappoints. Sometimes I get the same cut or I just tell her to do her thing. She gives good advice and is super friendly. My recent cut I showed her a picture of what I wanted and it came out just like it it. It’s nice to get a great haircut and have a good conversation at the same time. She even asks if I would like to try out some of their products in my hair when she’s done. If you go ask for Madelene, I trust her with my hair! Floyd’s is just great in general because you get treated very well. From the front desk with Lyndsay to sitting in your chair, everyone is nice. Whether it’s a clean cut or a refreshing shampoo and conditioning. The hot face towel or the razor shave with the warm shaving cream. Even the final massage with their unique hand massagers — it’s all amazing! From their great hair products to their personalized radio station. Floyd’s is the place to go. If you haven’t been, you haven’t treated yourself to awesome hair therapy. Call ahead and get on down to Floyd’s 99 in Mission Hills!

I’ve gone here twice and have yet to have even a decent cut. I get a simple cut half on the side 4 on top. The fades and lineups have been either patchy or crooked & I’ve had the barber give me push back on what I wanted. Staff are very friendly & pricing is reasonable, I wouldn’t steer everyone away from here because there are some decent barbers but not for what I’m looking for

Never would I come in here for a haircut. It seems way too impersonal for me and I feel like I would be rushed in and out like a sheep waiting for the sheers. I was leaving town the next day and desperately needed some hair product to tame my mane. Amidst all the green tea leaf extract vanilla bean toffee hair filler was a few cans of Layrite. Not my first choice but I bought it and off I went. Hit up a hipster barber for some real hair product.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice place. However, individual experience may vary depends on who you get. I’ve been there 3 times, only the first girl there I got actually cares about customer. Before I went, I specifically asked for a good barber, but they gave me this guy who doesn’t really cares. While the girl right next to me is still working on her customer. My guy just rushed me out with simply techniques probably I can do it myself at home. Really disappointed, will not go back again. Spent 35 on a 9 dollar hair cut. I can probably do better at home with a razor. Again, don’t get the barber who doesn’t know what they doing and don’t care about customer.

Three times I have tried to come here. First time I walked in and they didn’t have any openings until that night. No big deal. The second and third time, I call ahead and they say they are only taking walk ins. I go and they don’t have anyone available for a few hours. I would like to review the place but it seems you can’t find a good time to get in.

GOOD barber shop. Not amazing but very good. Got a haircut, beard trim, and shampoo for $ 35 not including tip. Back home I pay $ 25 so it wasn’t that much more. Pros: Cool place and understood what look I was going for a did a nice clean job and didn’t take off too much. Wanted a nice clean fade and nice combover. Got exactly that. Nothing more and nothing less. Cons: I am used to getting a very detailed and amazing fade back home but here I got one that was a little more standard. Also I asked if she can not only trim my beard but give me a shave as well(I like my beard to have nice crisp lines) and she said oh I’m not a barber I can only trim the beard. So at that point I was like oh ok. She didn’t say let me get a barber she just kind of left it at that. So I let it go and didn’t ask for barber or anything because I didn’t want to get out of her chair because that felt like an awkward thing to do. I really wish I could of got a shave and cut with a clean fade! But she tapered the back trimmed my beard, and shampooed my hair and left with a nice safe presentable cut and combover.

I was staying at a friends place in San Diego whilst on Vacation and needed my hair cutting by a good Barber so he suggested Floyd’s Barber shop to me. He made a reservation with his stylist Lindsay for the following day .i went straight in and she greeted me and my friend straight away, i loved the style of the place it was very rock star and i loved the posters everywhere. Lindsay asked what style i wanted and she was chatting to me all the way through my cut. I loved the swivel chairs!!! i loved the music playing and the whole vibe to the place and I got a pretty amazing hair cut shampoo and massage for $ 30 including tip! I just wish they had a cool barber shop like this in the UK!

I was in town to go to sea world(not comicon) and needed to get trimmed up so my gf would stop hounding me and I found this place on Unilocal. This place is great! It’s a rock n roll barber shop with the band posters and music to match. Christy was my stylist and she was the shit. My gf said that it was the best haircut I’ve ever had and the people I’ve been going to we’re horrible. My daughter loved it too. She gave me a great cut, shampoo, hot towel and neck shave and was awesome to talk to. This is what you need in a successful business … Great customer service and she handles her business! Thanks! Go see her! Next time I’m in San Diego I will definitely make a stop!
