This use to be my spot for 3 years. Finally Ernie some guy that does walk in security at the front thats always sexually harassing me gets me kicked out. My girlfriends stupid friend Erica finds a phone in the bathroom, she decides to hold it and not tell my girlfriend I might add. They end up at a taco shop a few blocks down and the phone happen to belong to the manager of Fiesta. She 86’d everyone that was there. I found out about it, then decided to take my girl there to talk to the manager who lost her phone and explain that my girl Martha had nothing to do with it. Ernie was there again, and he wouldn’t let us in because Martha was 86’d for something she didn’t do. After asking him several times appropriately to speak with the manager, he refused to get her. Then he told me I was 86’d from coming in the bar because she’s my girl. I wasn’t even there the night the phone was found in the bathroom nor did I know anything about that night till a month later. They refuse to resolve this situation. The manager either acts like a child or they need to fire a few people working security. This has been a long going unresolved incident and I feel like I wanna call better business Bureau for acts of sexual harassment and being treated poorly for something I didn’t do. I’ve spent money there 2 to 3 times a week every week for two years and to be treated like that is insane. How much do u wanna bet, this post will either be: «deleted, not responded to, made fun of, or discriminated«against. I’d rather goto MO’ Bar and Grill across the street. Trust me, the place is a lot cleaner and the bartenders make some bomb as drinks there. Food is amazing as well. They have a Sunday brunch buffet with bottomless mimosas for 21.50 well worth it and way better then this cheesy place

Love the happy hour special here and the fun, energetic atmosphere especially if theyre not playing EDM or some form of techno music. Just ruins your margarita experience with an hour of the same sounding song with 5 words on repeat. So Im really glad they have songs with words in it. I know we trying to be inclusive, but when the bro-ey homophobic and transphobic man comes for happy hour and doesnt get it that he’s in a gayborhood… I have half a mind to throw my margarita at him, but that would be alcohol abuse. Oh yeah, taco Tuesdays are good but not a lot of lesbians come out for it.

Tried to get in with some friends and security denied us access because we asked«where’s everyone at». After hearing that comment he decided to accuse us for being«too drunk». Very disappointed. Coming here regularly after 5 years with friends, I can’t believe management let this happen.

Love Fiesta in WeHo. Loathe Fiesta in San Diego. Service was non-existent, for a moment I thought I was at make-your-own-drink-behind-the-bar-yourself place, but the workers there are just shit. Pocket gays everywhere. Dancing on each other when they should be making drinks or paying attention to customers. I know, crazy, right?! You have to actually pay attention to customers while you’re working?! Anyway, you’re better off trailing down to Mo’s across the street — since you’d probably have to go there anyway to get a napkin.

My friends and I usually come here to drink because their margaritas are really good, but our last visit was a huge disappointment. This time, the drinks barely had any alcohol in them so we all basically paid $ 13 each for a huge glass of juice. They also came by and took the stools we were sitting on and a few minutes later took the table we were using. We probably will not be coming back here in the future.

Rude staff, They gonna yell your ears off if you accidentally seat outside with a drink… I mean literally, this BARBARIC bouncer came out nowhere and yelled from my back so hard made me jumped… Gee I am so sorry that I didn’t notice the small sign!!! It is what it is, no class no customer service what so ever. Drinks are all watery, bartenders gonna give you a dirty look if you ask a bit more ice to your drink too. EVERYONE’s attitude were so constant, like they took a training for it, ‘shut up, spend your money and get the heck outta here!!‘ Will never, ever go back there.

Came here with my girlfriends for Happy Hour last Thursday night. BOGO drink specials after 1030p(but they do have to be the exact drink). Strawberry Margarita — $ 12.50 for the large & plenty to go around for us 6! & strong, just the way I like it! Televisions, Beer Pong, & contests! My friends participated & one won a $ 10 gift card for Fiesta Cantina. Outdoor seating available too.

It is what it is. Beer and sugar’d up margaritas. Scene is young and casual. Top 40 and fun!

This is one of my favorite get-really-really-drunk bars in Hillcrest. It’s also on prime real estate for people watching if you can snag a seat on the patio! I love Fiesta Cantina because they have what appears to be millions of margarita options! Sweet, savory, sour, spicy, you name it, they got it. They even have margarita options without tequila in them. My husband likes the one with the Whiskey. I personally think putting anything other than tequila in a margarita is a travesty, but he happily gulps them down. I typically go for spicy margs or anything with cucumbers in it. Oh, and they have these GIANT glasses you can order for super cheap(compared to how many regular sized, regular priced margs you’d have to buy to equal the amount in this bad boy) and you can get a sweet buzz from just one of these things! When you walk by, check out the glasses they have on display along their patio… That’s the ACTUAL size! My favorite time to come is during the day when you can almost always grab a seat on the patio to do some day drinking and people watching, however, I have also been at night which is super fun too! They never have a cover(unlike Mo’s across the street) and they’ve had some good DJ’s and some really fun dancing. I have yet to try the food here which is odd because I always want chips and salsa or nachos with my margarita. I’ll update the review as soon as I have, though!

This place is a lot of fun and the staff is super friendly! I only give this place 3 stars because of the food and the weak drinks! My friend and I were looking for somewhere to drink and little and eat, so we came here and we were helped out by a super friendly bartender. We asked him what he recommended and he said the bowls so we both ordered a bowl and a 32oz Margarita each. The bowls were… okay. I ordered the shrimp bowl and the shrimp tasted a little fishy, which is disappointing because shrimp never tastes that way unless it’s old. How does that happen in San Diego?! Other than that, it was super filling and I could only eat half of it! The drinks tasted amazing, but after drinking TWO32oz margaritas(that’s 64oz or ½ gal, for those of you who struggle with math) in just two hours, I didn’t feel a thing, so I don’t think there was much tequila in my drinks, so minus one more star. Overall, cool place to hang out but don’t come for the food… come for the [weak] drinks and the good looking bartenders!

I definitely have a love/hate relationship with this place. First off, the energy at this place is always POPPIN! It really is a fiesta! The music is loud, the drinks are cheap, and everyone seems to be having a jolly, good time! So depending on your mood, this can either be really fun or too crazy for you — I’ll leave that to you to decide. During their happy hour which is daily from 4pm-8pm and 10pm-12am, the drinks are buy one get one free. I would say this is an awesome place to pre-game before heading to MO’s for a night of dancing! Then, come back at 10pm for round 2 of cheap drinks. I come here mainly for 2 things: 1. $ 6 all-you-can-eat Taco Tuesdays: Their AYCE tacos are surprisingly really delicious. They start you off with your choice of tacos(steak, chicken, or carnitas) and it comes with a side of beans, rice, and salsa. You only get rice and beans during your first order, so take it off the tray if you want to continue consuming those delicious bad boys. A note of caution is that service can be pretty slow as the place tends to get packed… but that’s to be expected. 2. Make your own bottomless mimosas for brunch weekend: They have a syrup section with different flavors so you can concoct your own mix and measurements. I personally like to add just a splash of syrup in mine. ;) Like I said, this place isn’t for everyone. It can feel chaotic and loud at times, but that’s all part of its charm.

BUSY! The crowd is very LGBT friendly and during taco Tuesday it was busy. Great drink choices and yummy food. I know legally they can’t device alcohol«outside» of the but that limited our seating options ALOT.

Ok, so this is a place designed to be a fun party DIVEBAR. So for what it is supposed to be, it’s a pretty fun place! There is always an amazing happy hour, buy one get one free drinks from 4 – 8. I feel like my margaritas aren’t always consistent though in alcohol concentration. Sometimes the waiters are shirtless when I come here. Smoking is allowed(*on the patio which is basically the same area, but not covered by roofing). One person at a time bathrooms, line can get long. Food is typical dive bar food, so you shouldn’t expect anything extravagant, but it was ok. This is a GAYBAR, yes your waiter may look like vanilla ice(*previous negative review) get over yourself, this is Hillcrest, what were you expecting? There will be many lesbians, gays and straight human beings here. Beware experiencing human interaction and keep your homophobic friends at home!

Omfg! What is this shit . The tequila is served cold not room temperature, The security told us that the patio must be closed at 11pm so we had to squeeze in with hundreds of people. The music is too straight and horrible. Never again here in this shit hole. The one in west Hollywood is much better. The worst experience ever.

Oh ghetto Baja Bettys… it’s okay to have a business that exists due to spill over my Urban Mos next door, but at least pretend to care about the quality of your liquor. Do they even use a 100% agave well tequila? This shit is nasty.

Love me some fiesta cantina! Always a good time! People become friends at this place. Strangers are always cheering for the flirty couple, there is twister, taco Tuesday, happy hour I believe almost every night, good music, TV playing sports and… it is located walking distance from anywhere else you would like to continue, start or end your night at. Good times at Fiesta Cantina!

Came here for the 2 for 1 drinks, a little deceiving because I thought it was for ALL drinks. The pricing only applies for single shot drinks. Either way, still a good deal. Me & my boyfriend each had a beer and an adiós MF– not going to lie we were both feeling it after just that! We finished with a mango mega blended margarita and that was my favorite! Blended perfectly &STRONG!(: As far as the service goes– we had a really cool server who answered any questions we had and gave us some good tips on what to order. His shift ended and he still helped us after another server was rude. The bathroom situation is definitely a little sketchy as others have mentioned! Overall a fun place to have some good strong drinks!(:

Review for their weekend brunch specials. Bottomless mimosas! $ 9.95 with a minimum purchase of $ 5 food, I believe. I think it’s pretty nice that they have a little area for you to pick and choose your mimosa flavors. There are a few juice options in an ice bucket by the door. Your glass is filled about halfway, then you can head on over to add some sugahhh. I really like to mix the strawberry and orange juices(I think it’s strawberry??). The breakfast foods are okay. The huevos rancheros were decent. Just something warm to get in your belly before you start feeling the mimosas. Service is good — our waiter was quick and responsive. Also was a funny guy and engaged with us. Bonus points for a shirtless waiter. There weren’t many people when we went those couple Sunday mornings. Same as Cabo(the one in PB). I’ve only been to Fiesta for brunch so I can’t say much for the evening scene.

I love this place for it’s awesome drink prices and great happy hour. Some ask me «why do you go to a gay bar if you’re straight?» Well, i’ll tell you why. Ever wonder why girls hardly spend a dime and get wasted? no? cause you already know why right? Well, the same happens when you’re not a prick and are a male ordering drinks at a gay bar. They tend to be a little heavy handed and that is quite alright with me. I wish I could vouch for their food but I have yet to order anything because I’m usually just pounding back their massive margaritas. The people watching is spot on and the crowd is just what you would expect it to be for a place on University in Hillcrest. I love coming here when Mo’s is packed and I need to get my drink on. Sit outside if you can, it makes for better entertainment.

It’s a tiny little place where tables are very close and avoiding being bumped some is impossible. It reminded me some of a few cantinas I’ve been to in Mexico with its openness and décor. They serve a mean margarita(always upgrade to the 32oz it’s worth the extra .50 cents). I think this is a great place to add to your list if you’re doing a bar crawl. It’s small, it’s simple and they mixed a good drink.
