I love this Fantastic Sams. The stylist are always nice and quick to work with you. Like I just walked in around 10 after 6pm tonight, knowing they close at 8. First I called to make sure I wasn’t going to be a burden because I know this place gets busy. The man (sorry I didn’t get your name, hun) who answered the phone was so kind and said it was fine if I did a «walk-​in»! :) Yay! Luckily, I was already on my way! I get there, found parking easily, didn’t even wait 10 mins, and the lovely Thranh cut my hair so perfectly! Just what I needed. I really wanted a trim and layers after suffering from a bad bleach/​dye job I did myself (big no no). She did it, no problem and recommended solutions to help my beaten up hair. She took care of me in less in than hour and did a WONDERFUL JOB. I couldn’t ask for more and this really made my night. Now I won’t be so self conscious for my interview tomorrow. Thank you again!

I have been coming to this Fantastic Sams since I moved to the area over 3 years ago. I’ve always had a great experience and will continue to come back every time I need a haircut. All of the stylists are very friendly and dedicated to making sure you leave with the perfect haircut. I’ve very rarely had to wait long when I just walk-​in and you can always call to setup a time. The pricing here is very good and they have lots of specials. I can’t recommend a better place to get a haircut!!!

I received an email that stated I could get a free haircut for leaving a positive review. The email gave me 4 steps to follow which I did. I went and and was told I couldn’t get a free haircut unless I printed it out and came back. No where in the «steps» did it state that. I don’t have time to waste in coming back (like they suggested), told them I’d be going elsewhere for a cut. That was a little cheesy on their part as I did EXACTLY as their email said to do. Disappointed in fantastic sams. Lost a customer over their mistake.

This has been my go to spot since it opened in North Park. Never too long of wait and have great customer service. Thanks for always making me a satisfied customer. Shampoo with your haircut is always a plus too!

I used to cut my own hair for years, so finding a decent stylist that a) doesn’t cost a fortune, and b) has an open schedule, is difficult to find.
Gus at Fantastic Sam’s University is, well, fantastic. He consistently does an excellent job, and always has engaging conversation.
Highly recommended!

Good place to get a clip. 9 times out of 10 I am very pleased with my haircut.
They have pretty decent prices and the wait is never too long.
All the barbers do a good job and aren’t too chatty.
I suggest giving them your email address and signing up for their rewards programs.

Been coming here since they opened. They always do a good job at cutting my hair the way i ask them to style it. Had a few different stylists help me and was always a nice experience.
Friendly staff, clean salon, never felt «rushed» like at other salons.

Some folks who work here have a serious attitude. Extremely rude. When you walk in either you get ignored and wait until they feel like greeting you or they just shouts how long it will take in a very unfriendly manner. I’ve tried this place before and the vibe is the same. Rude and unfriendly. I gave up!

I have been coming here for over a year now and I have no intentions of going anywhere else. Gus and Alejandra always take such good care of me! Seriously, their attention to detail is so on point I feel like part of their family. They are honest about everything and always do what will look best for me. Great salon and very friendly staff. Have had many stylist at this location cut my hair and they all did a great job. However, Kassie always does a FANTASTIC job on my hair!!! She is very professional, friendly, pays special attention to details and always ensures that I am happy before I leave. She is the best!!! Would not go anywhere else.

I’m a post-​baccalaureate student/​professional, so I need a great haircut at a reasonable price. I’ve continued coming here for 3 years after I moved out of the neighborhood. I’ve seen several stylists (all are great), but KASSIE is the bomb. She makes sure I’m happy with the cut, and is willing to oblige me by making slight alterations to suit my needs. Very personable, and I never feel rushed like I have at other chain salons. The service, the quality of the cut (at $ 15!), and the convenient location (right by CVS, UPS, Fresh and Easy, just off the 805) make Fantastic Sams an easy choice.

Super impressed with the work of the hairdressers here. Very clean & professional, and they have good offers. Great haircuts, getting my first color treatment here now. Only reason I give 4 stars is because it is first come, first serve (no appts) so sometimes you have to wait a bit. Bring a book!

To be completely honest. I would have not thought of Fantastic Sams for hair cuts. However, when you have a child (boy or girl). You start thinking about what you can get for what price. Such as hair cuts. And, at $ 9.99 for a cut. You can’t beat it. I have been bringing my son here a few times now. He has had a cut from different stylists…3 to be exact. They all did a great job!
There are no appointments. It’s on a walk in basis. So you could be waiting anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes. I say this because that is the most that I waited. I am also treated with respect, and kindness. As a Mom who stands near her son watching the cut performed, it is crucial a stylist knows how to work with me. Here, they do! It’s appreciated.
The parking is easy. You can park in the Fresh & Easy parking garage, or there is street parking. As I write this review. I realize the announcement of the Fresh & Easy stores closing. So maybe the parking garage will not be an option for too long. However, there is street parking.

This place is affordable and I trust them with my hair. They do adjust price by hair length etc so if your hair is down to your back, don’t expect a $ 14.99 haircut.
I’ve referred people here who have had great results. I usually call in advance and either come early or expect a little bit of a wait. Any place that accepts walk in’s can be tough to pin down on time. Bring a book or a game on your phone and enjoy the downtime.
I would see anyone, but Gus, Demi, and Leo have all beautified my locks.
I just had the Fred Coppola Treatment and my hair is finally manageable. Downright smooth with a little blow dry and flat iron. Ask for a quote. It will be over $ 120. Affordable considering the $ 300 treatments you can get.
A nice place the whole family can go.
