We come here to do mine and my husband’s hair every time and we always ask for Lili, she is professional and very friendly. She does great job and knows what we ask. Highly recommend her!

My favorite stylist is Rosa. She does everything for me from head to toes in about 4 hrs. This is perfect for my very busy schedule because I just need to make one appointment in one salon instead of going to multiple places. While my hair color is setting in, she does my nails.
I have been going to Fancy Salon at least monthly for several years. They also take walk-​ins but I prefer to schedule my services requested. Price is very reasonable. Staff is very professional and friendly as well as competent.

Love this place! Been going to Kevin for hair cut/​color/​style since 1998! He just knows how to cut and style my hair. I have recommended my friends and families here and they have been coming here since! Also, they have Emily that Does a fabulous job with mani/​pedi! They are so nice, friendly and awesome people! Would recommend this place 100%

Trina is fabulous! Cut my hair just how I want it every time and if I want it a different way she gets it perfect! Trina is world class I tell her she should charge therapist fees because I leave there happy all the time :)

One of the worst haircuts I’ve ever had! I’ve been going to this place for a haircut for about a year now. I’ve always been pleased but now I’m never going back here again. This hair dresser decided to cut my hair in record breaking time not caring about what I actually wanted. The cord to the clippers kept hitting my face, she checks her phone instead of focusing on my hair, and she didn’t even cover my body fully with the cape gown so I got hair everywhere. Could you at least blow dry my hair after? 1 touch and it’s all over my hand.
Little background, I faced depression and haven’t been able to get a haircut for 3 months and to see this horrible haircut made my day turn from great to horrible. They don’t give amazing customer service. When I asked for my hair to be shorter she looked at me as if I was crazy. I tend to have the sides of my head to be shaved, but she wouldn’t do it. The so called manager, which I learned in this Unilocal page said its fine, but doesn’t take into consideration what the customer wants.
Now I have to find a better place!

I love Kevin! he’s the only person I’ll go to in the area. I called the salon at 2pm on Sunday and got an appointment the same day at 3. Kevin has done my and my moms hair for 10 years, he’s friendly and does the best highlights. Super affordable @ $ 120 for my super long, thick hair. Super quick. He was done by 6:20. Overall, great hair experience. He fixed my brassy grown out ombré done somewhere else. Well worth my money. I like my hair long and he never pushes me to get any drastic cut like most places do because they think my hair is too dead. he simply trimmed it to my liking and my blonde turned out pretty healthy. Always amazed. Thank you Kevin

Kevin is the only person I’ll let touch my hair. He has never done me wrong. My aunt had recommended him and I’ve never been sorry. He has dyed my hair, styled my hair, and recently chopped my hair. And each time I’ve gotten nothing but compliments. Emily does my manicure and pedicure, and she’s super sweet and super talented! I forgot to mention how reasonable their prices are! Idk where else you can find a full gel manicure for under $ 23, I mean a good one at least. It’s one of those hidden gems that can easily be mistaken for a hole in the wall, but they’re awesome.

The lady (I believe Rose or Rosa was her name) made a mistake and acted as if nothing happen then tried to convince me to cut the top of my hair shorter to cover her mistake :/​needless to say I said yes. It was either get a shorter haircut or walk out with an uneven top. In the end the haircut was still bad and I came out with shorter hair.

I called this place ahead of time to ask if they do hair braiding. They ask me what my nationality was and I told them Asian but interested in African braiding… They ask me to walk in and bring a picture so we did. And they were talking in their language, which I could not understand. Then I was asked to Sit in a chair and a lady came up to me and said that they could not do the braid… WTF? Wow!!! Waste of time! This place Sucks I will not recommend it! If it was up to me I wouldn’t put any stars up for this place at all. Boooo on fancy hair salon two thumbs down!

Never again. Got the worst braid. I can’t believe I threw away $ 11. The braid was horrible. I could have done it myself.

The only reason I’m giving this place one star is because my hair turned out fine. I went in for a simple color and trim. Very easy. What made the experience bad was. The lady basically had her son do my hair. She was coaching him the entire time. When he soaped and washed my hair he basically washed my entire face. Eyebrows GONE. He used OLD towels to dry my hair and was rough. Would SMACK my head to «dry» the hairs? When he brushed my hair he would literally hit my head with the brush. His mother or the older women kept telling me «you need a Brazilian blow out» and I told her over two time no thank you. So after that she stayed on the other side of the salon. They straightened my hair without asking what I wanted as far as styling.
If you want to go to a place with zero customer service and old run down equipment, this is the place.
Thankfully my hair came out fine all in all. But NEVER AGAIN will I go back to this place.

So when I’m tight on money I tend to rely on this place. NO MORE!
I have pretty curly hair, and the entire bottom half was fried from repeated dying. So I needed a haircut and didn’t want to break the bank. I came here.
I had an old Asian lady this time. She’s done my hair before, (when it was halfway down my back), and it used to always be just a trim, an inch or less… so I was expecting some level of OK. This time around I wanted to chop half of my hair off, which I knew was going to result in medium/​short hair. I left the salon, hair wet and gross, at first I was pleased but then I got home and took a shower…
She left me with a MULLET. A full blown mullet. I have a short layer, which I specifically repeated «LONG LAYERS ONLY», and no transition to the long layer… OMG what have I done!!!
It’s so freaking bad lol, like I want to laugh and cry at the same time. I have never gone short guys. I messed up and should’ve invested money into a better place but let me describe to you what she did.
She cut one extremely short layer in the back, and left it at that. So back is short and long, mullet style. Then on the sides its short but it has two layers in between the mullet evening the blow. Then theirs the front, which came out how I expected the whole head to come out, it looks like medium/​short with longer layers.
Oh gosh, PLEASE INVEST IN YOUR LUSCIOUS LOCKS LADIES!!!

A middle aged woman layered my hair and a younger gentlemen trimmed my baby sister’s hair. I honestly have to say I won’t be coming back here. They did a horrific job on my baby’s simple trim. He missed strands of hair and her hair was crooked. Even after I asked them to make it even and fix it. He tried to fix it and he only made it worse and he didnt even clip the strands he missed. The lady who was layering my hair, she cut way too much off my length and didn’t layer it enough. The job was not anywhere close to mediocre.
My baby sister left the salon looking like one of her 2^nd grade pals gave her a haircut. I left with my hair 3 inches too short with barely any layers. It looked like i just trimmed my hair all even… Smh. Never again. I guess I gotta drive all the way down to hillcrest to get my hair done RIGHT!

This review is for Trina. She has been my mom’s hairstylist for quite sometime now. Then became my sister’s. I use to come to her a while back, but have tried others since I moved away from California. I went back to get a haircut a couple days ago. Nothing major. Just a few inches off my hair to keep it clean and remove the dry ends. I wanted to keep my length. She did what I asked her to do.
Price was reasonable!!! My mom likes her hair color by Trina. So, I’m convinced to try to give it a try.
Will be coming back for hair color.

Another long-​time client of Kevin here (also went to him at the old Benz Hair), although there have been times when he’s been out that I’ve had Trina or someone else cut my hair.
I have no complaints whatsoever. Surprised at the negative reviews, but people tend to get comfortable with their own hairstylists, which is where I’ve been for 10+ years with Kevin. Takes a while for a new stylist to know how you like your hair done.

TRINA is a great hair stylist. She cuts mine, my moms and my friend’s hair. Thats the only reason we come here. $ 15 fro haircut w/​no shampoo or conditioning and she listens to what you want. I havent had any other hair service from the other stylists. I got a pedicure/​manicure once and it was good but slightly pricey for me since I could have gotten the same thing for less elsewhere.
