Wanting to improve my Olympic lifts I decided to sign up and get coaching lessons from Veronica Aguila(Coach V) who is on staff at CrossFit SoCal where I train. She is a wealth of information, extremely patient and her cues for clean and jerk and snatch are spot on! Her coaching has helped me reach new PR’s, feel more confident when I approach the bar and with each session I am improving my technique. She is well respected in the Olympic weightlifting community and is a wonderful resource with strong credentials that we are so fortunate to have at our box. If you are looking to focus on and improve your Olympic lifts, I highly recommend Veronica Aguila’s coaching!

I have been lifting with Coach V for over a year now. I started going to DPP because one of my friends wanted to try it for a month, and somehow snatching once a month in a Crossfit WOD wasn’t translating to huge and instant PRs. After joining, I completely fell in love with Olympic lifting. Coach V is incredibly patient, and has so many different ways to break down and explain each component of each lift. She has competed with the best of the best, and knows how to help lifters at any level improve. Highly recommended!

Coach V is the second Oly coach I have trained with, and while the other one was great, she is phenomenal. It really gave me a lot of confidence to finally meet a female coach and training under her has dramatically improved my technique. She has a really good and easy to learn approach to teaching Oly lifting. It is broken up into manageable pieces(drive, pop, and punch), which allows you to work up to doing the whole lift, and also to improve weaker areas. I couldn’t imagine training with anyone else!
