I received a gift certificate to have my daughters hand and foot impressions at my baby shower. Now, four years later, I have gone back every year to have her hand and foot impressions done and the same with my second daughter. Kelly is so nice and I’m so happy that I was introduced to doodlebug designs!

I’ve had three different plates made through this company (all gifts) and was very pleased with them. The owner (Kelly) is everything you would want– professional, sweet and patient with the kids, and extremely talented with the plate creation. I’m not an artistic person so Kelly was really great in helping me choose colors and designs. For two of my three plates I changed my mind about color and wording after leaving the shop and she was very nice about implementing the changes. Although it takes a while for the plates to be made, she was on time or early with all 3 of the plates I ordered. She also let me know if they were done early (per my request) so I had the option to pick them up sooner. Highly recommend!

Hooray! I’m thrilled to be the first to review Doodlebug Designs. I don’t mean to gush, but I really love this business.
I was introduced to Kelly when my daughter was born by my sister-​in-​law whose daughter was born a day earlier. We took the girls up to her home in Scripps Ranch to have their prints done.
I love the craftsmanship. They’re worlds above ones I’ve seen made from kits or at ceramic shops. Her handwriting to personalize each item (or just to fill out the form!) is beautiful. I have had one plate made each year since, and am now on year five! That’s right, I have 6 plates — one from birth and then ages 1 – 5. I Each has one hand & one foot, her name, and age at the time. I’ve also had foot print ornaments made for grandmas, a large plate with the four generations of women, and a plate with my daughter’s little hand inside mine. Sadly, this is the last year plate I’ll get of my daughter. She’s 5 now and the little hands are not quite so little & cute anymore. Plus school pictures, sports pictures… I can only have so many momentos. :D
Kelly will do any combination you want and it can be personalized any way you choose. You choose the colors also. She has many samples on site so you can see the different possibilities. Since she handcrafts each one, the combinations are endless. You can create something original and unique! Her business has grown so there’s many events & locations to have the plates done at. She can ship your finish product, or you can pick it up at her house when it’s done. No need to even go in, it’s waiting in a basket — just take and go anytime. (I picked one up at 10pm!)
I just took my friend’s new baby there yesterday to get his hand & foot made into a surfboard plate! I can’t wait to see how it’s turned out. Her samples are awesome, so I’m sure it’ll be great!
