I live in Richmond, VA and called the 800 number to doctorsorthotics, no answer, then that night received a call from Dr. Sol Goldston. He immediately understood my metatarsal pain from cycling and highly suggested a pair of carbon fiber orthotics for my flat feet with fallen arches. He impressed me with his cycling knowledge and like a previous reviewer, couldn’t have been nicer! The impression box came in less than a week and my orthotics arrived after about two weeks. During that time he gave me some good supportive advice on my foot pain and answered all my questions. I have worn the orthotics in my cycling shoes twice and they definately give me more and much better support than the over the counter Specialized and Peterson orthotics as they give much more than just arch support.
They actually rise up between my heel and metatarsals to support that section of my foot. I do feel more relief of the metatarsal pain and while the inflammation of several months of ignoring my foot pain is still there, there is less pain using the carbon orthotic. It’s hard to trust someone across the continent, but I totally trust Dr. Goldston and his staff and highly recommend him for orthotics.

I had lived with plantar fasciitis for several months. Went twice to a Podiatrist who give me injections. Then met Dr. Saul Goldston who designed orthotics. After a month the pain was almost gone! It is getting better each day!

The orthotics got me through a walking tour of Cuba! I could not have made it with them since I had been hobbled for several years due to a change in gait from hip surgery. I had been to orthotic makers, hospital orthotic makers, sports medicine facilities – the works. The orthotics are the best made and the lowest profile, the lightest I have ever seen; and they are very reasonable in comparison to any others i have seen from a medical facility. I had a mould from a pair of custom orthotics made for me 10 years ago by a local orthopedist. I took a chance and ordered two pair of ¾ XT Hybrids. DO agreed to use my old moulds and quoted a very good price. I received the new orthotics on time, though my old moulds were a bit worse for wear after return shipping. XT Hybrids are the same quality as my old orthotics, but both pair together were a little more than half the price quoted for a single pair by a local orthopedist! I’ve had them for about six months. They’re a bit larger than the originals, but actually fill out wide shoes better.
