After a quick and efficient new patient check-in process, I waited about 25 minutes before Dr. Davidson’s nurse guided me to an exam room, took my blood pressure and gave me a gown to change into, saying the doctor would be in shortly. Three magazines and another 25 minutes later I stuck my head out of the room and hailed a staff member who said the doctor should have been in already to see me and as soon as he came«out»(another exam room?), she’d remind him I was waiting. I gave it another ten or so minutes, put my clothes back on and exited to the reception desk where many apologies for the hour-long wait with a doctor no-show were made, had my co-pay reimbursed and left, paying $ 2 for parking. Including round trip travel from work, this was an hour and forty-minutes of my life that I’ll never get back. Very disappointed as I really was hoping Dr. Davidson could diagnose what is going on with my hip and low back. I understand that doctors can get backed up and run late(although this was a 1pm appt, right after lunch and I was the only one in the waiting room when I arrived), but really … if you’re running THAT late, have your nurse come in and let the patient know what’s up. Is that really asking too much?
