Been going here for roughly 15 yrs — Awesome sandwiches, everything I’ve gotten has been top shelf. The Mexican food place next door is equally great.

The acai bowl was good. The blend was tasty and they pile a lot of fresh fruit on top. It’s a pretty large portion but also a bit pricy. Over all pretty good.

Wow talk about crappy service I believe from the lady owner? I asked for some extra napkins for my child and compete attitude. The food also was just okay and I had a worker complaining to me about how the owners have been up her butt all day. Apparently the workers are not happy here either. Skip this place all together. I was actually polite the whole time. The lady who made my drinks was super sweet though.

Came here for lunch during a work day. I ordered a Rueben sandwich and it was pretty darn good cheap sandwich. Quick and speedy service with an outdoor patio boasting lots of seating at kindergarten style lunch tables. Parking might be a pain during lunch hours, however on the day I came there were at least 3 spaces open and it was just about noon.

This place is a godsend! Amazing smoothies and acas bowls, incredible sandwiches, the calzone and gyos are great too! It can get really busy between 11:30 — 1:00 but it is always worth it! Seriously this is such a local nugget! Make sure to NOT go to Calientes mexican food which is right new door!

Came here for the first time today. My good friend recommended coming here(she told me a couple of months ago — finally got the chance to come here) and I ended up bumping into her when I arrived. The service was awsome! The employees are super nice and helpful at the facility was cozy. There are seats outside as well and easy to get to. I ended up getting the Acai bowl(very good!), the iron man sandwich — I asked them to put jalapeño’s in mine, and the Chicken tequila fettuccine pasta(very good and different from all the rest of them!)

I just came here for the first time to get a penut butter acai bowl. The lady who helped me with brown short cutly hair was so rude! It was almost $ 10 when the sign clearly says 7.49. Not only was she extremely rude when i payed but she was rude when my food was made. I asked her a simple question about why the price jumped so much from what was posted and she snapped back and said«well… do u expect me to pay all of the taxes?!» I was so caught off guard and blown away by the way she speaks to customers. Aside from her incredibly rude and unprofessional customer service. it was probably the worst acai bowl i have ever purchased. It was so runny! I work right up the street and was so excited to know i could get an acai bowl within walking distance. i will be sure to tell all my co workers and clients not to go there. With social media and Unilocal, you would think a little hole in the wall place like the corner house café would value their customers and treat them with kindness and respect. Guess not. I will never be going there again!

Worst service ever!!! Manager goes by the name of Q stated that it is their normal company policy to forge your writing add 15% on the credit card receipt after charging a delivery fee. Are you kidding me. I informed him that this was not even stated on their website. Don’t get me wrong, I tip 20% plus normally because I used to be a waiter in college, but I have never ever forged my signature on a customer’s bill and called it standard business practice. Ever!

I’ve heard this little café has great acai bowls, so I had to stop by and try them out. They have a great outside patio and a parking lot, both which are great. I ordered a PB acai bowl with agave and an acai smoothie with protein. The acai bowl had great flavor, but I really longed for more fruit and granola. The smoothie had an undesired aftertaste, maybe it was the protein, maybe not. Sadly I wanted to enjoy this place more than I did but the food was just ok and they have no WiFi. I did however appreciate that they gave me a box as a carrier for my items. #sandiegofoodgirls

Great place to go for either sandwiches or acai bowls. I always used to just get sandwiches, not knowing that around the corner of the main exterior there is the section that sells smoothies and acai bowls. Tried the acai bowl with honey and peanut butter. Absolutely loved it! The size is quite large and I’d say well worth the price of $ 7. Shared it with a friend and was satisfied after.

How have I lived in Carmel Valley for almost five years and just discovered Corner House? I love it here! There were so many options that sounded great on the menu that I had trouble narrowing it down and choosing one. I ultimately chose the Chicken Club with the bacon on the side for my dog since I don’t eat pork and a side of fries. The sandwich was delicious, especially after I picked up a side of ranch in place of mayo. The ranch here, by the way, is superb! For future visits, I want to try the French dip, Ironman, caprese, turkey croissant, turkey avocado and chicken caesar wrap and I noticed there are several vegetarian options for my boyfriend to try. Plus, there’s a whole other side of the restaurant that serves acai bowls, which are another of my obsessions. The outdoor seating area is cute and, even better, dog friendly! My little pug loved coming along for lunch and snacking on the bacon and fries(she’s just a tad spoiled). As a warning, this place gets super busy between noon and 1. I only got a parking spot after circling the lot a couple of times and the line for both ordering and pick-up were pretty long. My friend and I arrived at noon and stayed until almost 2:30 as we were catching up and I noticed that the line died down between 1 and 1:30 and there was a lot of parking spots open when we left. I’ll likely try to avoid the lunch rush in the future but I hope to go back soon to try another item on my to-do list! ****Update**** I already returned to Corner House and can now cross the turkey croissant off my list. The croissant is soft and flaky, exactly the way a croissant should taste. The sandwich includes turkey, swiss, tomato, sprouts(which I omitted) and mayo(I added mustard too). The only thing missing, in my opinion, is lettuce to add some crunch. I brought my boyfriend along to try the veggie sandwich, which had some good reviews on Unilocal. He thought it was pretty good but was hoping for more eggplant and less cucumber.

Surprising deli for those toiling away in the area’s office buildings. While this is a bit of a drive for me, it was well worth it. I went safe the first time here and grabbed a Torpedo Sandwich. This right sized lunch sandwich included Coto Salami, Italian Salami, Provolone, Vinaigrette Dressing, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion on a French Baguette. Every bite was flavorful. Now that they passed the Torpedo test I can’t wait to try their other sandwiches. — They have a diverse menu. — If you’re frustrated with your local deli, make a short road trip to the Corner House Café & Pizzeria.

Giving a 5 Star review of Corner House Café & Pizzeria. I had a couple of clients coming to my office for a meeting of which I promised to have a deli sandwich waiting. My manager suggested, without hesitation, Corner House Café and suggested the Iron Man Sandwich — yum! He goes there a lot and says«best in the area.“The deli is in an old house modified to accommodate a restaurant business, an is located on the corner of the street. It has plenty of out side seating on a wooden deck with shade covers. It’s a cool place. Real nice people too.

Great little tucked away café for lunch with the outdoor patio and a small garden. I found it when i was looking for an Acai bowl place around Carmel Valley area. Its a small stand alone little cottage looking building right below the freeway, its easy to pass it by without noticing. I decided to try their caprese sandwich and the acai bowl. Caprese sandwich was good, very filling, it had a bit too much fresh basil leaves for my taste so i had to pick them out. Overall i enjoyed it but i thought for a vegetarian single sandwich(that didn’t come with any chips or salad on the side) it could’ve been a bit less pricey. Their acai bowl was good size and there are options for gluten free granola if you are into the whole gluten free thing. Acai came topped with lots of fresh bananas and assorted berries(all fresh!). If the acai bowl is not your jam, there are lots of other smoothie alternatives to pick from. I’m definitely coming back to try other goodies!

Most delicious smoothies, great tasting vegetarian burger. The location is perfect It’s a little restaurant and seems like it’s family owned. Very friendly people, and you can see the kitchen from where you order. It’s very clean and they use good ingredients, organic stuff and all natural … Yummy

This is one of the only close lunch options close to where I work, so it’s easy to get burnt out on. I love the Caprese sandwich. It is my go-to and is so fresh and delicious. The toasted ciabatta is absolutely divine with the fresh mozz, basil, tomato, and spring mix. The drizzle of balsamic really hits this sandwich out of the park. The Iron Man is another great option, featuring fresh grilled chicken breast, avocado, sprouts, and honey mustard. The acai bowls are so refreshing and the ladies that work on the smoothie side are super nice to talk to. You also can’t beat the $ 1 fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. Parking is a nightmare on a work day during lunch time, so walk here if you can!

I like the veggie sandwich from here — very fresh and flavorful. Anyone who puts sprouts & avocado(for free) on a veggie sandwich gets 4 stars and a wink from me. The menu has something for everyone and menu prices are very affordable. BTW, I was told not to get the pizza here… especially if it’s in one of those«lunch special» package kinda deal. You’ve been warned…(big eyes glaring at you).

What a cute little hidden gem! It’s like 3 eateries in one spot… smoothie/coffee shop, sandwich shop and Mexican food. Would have never discovered this place if my daughters art camp wasn’t near by. Huge Acai bowls enough for two and only $ 6.95! Awesome array of smoothies and coffee beverages. Cute outdoor garden seating. Right behind the house is where you can order sandwiches. I heard and read the Ironman sandwich was bomb so I had to try it. Got it on whole wheat and boy was it delicious!!! Chicken, avocado, Brussels sprouts smothered in melted cheese. Wow! Huge portion as well could only finish half! I would definitely return just for this sandwich… its that good!

Came here months ago with my parents and ordered the iron man sandwich with bacon. YUMMMYYYY. Today, I wanted two slices of pizza, but they were already out. It was only 11:50am! The lady told me every day it’s different, some days she leaves at 3:00pm and there is still pizza and some days are like today where all the slices were gone before the usual lunch time. I ordered a small cheese pizza instead for $ 5.00. The pizza was pretty good. I’m not a fan of pizza, but I love pizza with thick, doughy crust. That’s exactly how their dough was. The small is pretty big, I only had two slices and was full. I didn’t have breakfast either to give you an idea of how big the slices were. Since they didn’t have any slices and I had to wait for my pizza to be made(10 – 15 minutes), the lady at the register gave me a free soda! Win! I haven’t had anything else here, but the service is second to none! Everyone there was working with a smile. The lady running the register and the front window was so kind and she made a lot of conversation while we were waiting for my card to process(I think their machine is a little slow). They had a pretty good flow of people, so it’s definitely a popular place to eat in the area. The parking lot is incredibly small, the roads in the area are pretty bad(they had a sign about it to call the news station and complain about it for something to be done about it), and seating is pretty limited during the school year because there are tons of high school students who come here during the lunch hour.
