I think to be able to be called a «farmers market,» you should have to have more than one vedor with produce. So disappointingly sad. 5 vendors total, 3 people in attendence. I was in and out in 2 minutes.

It is great to have a farmer’s market in Clairemont, but this one needs support so it can grow and better serve the community. I will try to keep shopping here, but I hope they have more produce stands in the future. The great vendors there deserve the added foot traffic that would bring.

So excited to have a Farmers’ Market in our area! Excited to watch the market grow. It is a great space with convenient parking, and enough room to let our 2 year old walk around. We have been enjoying the fresh produce from the market for the past couple weeks as well as honey and awesome mushroom seasoning salt. Will for sure be a weekly stop for our family!

Good job so far for a farmer’s market. Just opened and is already well on its way. It does need more vendors, but from what I’ve heard they’re already signed up and it just takes time to sort out the logistics. If you want a quality farmer’s market in Clairemont show them some support.

Though it’s just starting out… this farmers market is prepared to be huge. Great location, nice vendors, cool stuff. I’m totally stoked to come back and shop. The salsa vendor has the best salsa I’ve tasted in awhile, we bought three bottles. A lot of space to expand, a ton of parking! Fun way to spend a Sunday!

Good start for a much-needed local Farmers Market here in Clairemont. Yesterday was our first time there and we enjoyed talking to the vendors. We purchased bread, fruit and music. Prices are fair and the food is fresh. We will return for the rest of the Saturdays in June and support the vendors and the community. Hope to see you there!

Collards fresh picked this morning! Yum. Interesting merchandise. Nice location. I hope it grows. It is up to the community to make it successful.

I was really surprised last Saturday at the lack of vendors at the Farmers Market. Maybe it was because it was located on the dirt field? I don’t think there were 10 vendors– and probably not 10 customers either(we were there between 10 and 11am). There were several cars in the ‘parking dirt’ — but I think the drivers were practicing soccer. I was told that this was only the second weekend for the market. Yes, Clairemont needs a Farmer’s Market and can support one. Maybe this is how they start. But, I hope they can find space on a paved surface. I will go back in a few weeks — and hopefully will see a little more of a market going on.

For years I’ve been hoping Clairemont would get a Farmers Market and am so happy it finally did! Since it’s just starting out, it’s smaller than some of the bigger ones around town, but with support from the locals I’m sure it will grow! Got some great veggies, fruit, kettlecorn, and a hot dinner to bring home to my family. If you’re a local, I’d recommend checking it out. The produce is a lot fresher than Sprouts. Hoping in time they get a few more fruit/veggie stands so I can get all my pesticide-free produce here.

It’s grand opening Tuesday today. Came here expecting a little more hype for the grand opening… it wasn’t really grand but an opening it was none-the-less. From what I’ve seen prices and variety are decent, with about 3 or 4 dozen stands. You’ve got your hot sauce people, your kettlecorn people, your health and beauty people, your straight from the ground to the table vegetable people, your food made on the spot people, your arts and craft people… essentially, you’ve got a variety of expected farmers market type crowd. A few pluses, they are doggie friendly(I put that to the test), there’s plenty of parking along the church, and we finally have a farmers market in Clairemont! Woot! A few negatives, no music or people on microphones or anything(very quiet atmosphere), a little more expensive for vegetables here than if you went to a grocery store but that’s kind of expected, and lastly there are not a ton of stands especially compared to the OB farmers market.
