San Diego, which has approximately 800 members. There are 3 levels of membership and support for the Cinematic Arts, which showcases great presentations. Some fillms from The Major Hollywood studio circuit, some documentaries, some from art films and film festival winners, a mix of many excellent films, some that yet will be distributed, shown as debuts, as well as a «Cinema Shorts Night» once a year.
San Diego Cinema Society Meets usually from 1^st Sept to beginning of May every year. This is currently the 28^th Season, Andy Freidenberg is the founder director of this cinema appreciation and participation group in San Diego and in Phoenix area at 3 different locations. In additon to cinema presentations most every week, there are also trips to Film/​Arts Festivals. This year, 2011 there are two different trips traveling to Cuba, one to London, and every January to Palm Springs Film Festival, as well as, the 4^th season for The Day Before the Academy Awards: one day trip to Hollywood with viewing of the Foreign Film Nominees; meeting their directors/​producers, and the Make-​Up Nominees with the creators of the Make-​up for nominees in this catagory.
