The«counselors» are interns who are doing their degree over at state… They are helpful, but you can tell right away they lack the experience. So I would say, if you’re not totally nuts and you just need someone to kind of vent to, then go ahead and sign up. There is a wait list since it is super cheap $ 10 or $ 5 if you qualify. Parking is on the street so that sucks.

This counseling center has graduate students in the M.S. Marriage and Family Therapy program as the therapists. There are a diverse group of students from all different ethnicities who provide therapy in English and in a couple of other languages. These students have a variety of background experience and their education levels also differ(some are in their 1st year, 2nd year, and/or 3rd year of training). The fees are extremely reasonable. The cost per session ranges from $ 5 to $ 50 depending on the client’s income. The clinic provides services from people of all cultures, ethnicities, sexual orientations, religious backgrounds, ages, genders, etc. If you are looking for an inexpensive therapist that is trained to work in different specialties and to work with different cultures, I highly recommend this counseling center. ***The only bad thing about this facility is that the hours of operation change depending on the semester.
