Great Place! Always a lot of fun. Weak on the food choices, but you can bring your own food. Drink pours are very generous and at about the best prices in town. Fabulous happy hour specials with free food, Amazing food specials on Sunday for the football games, usually something grilled(couple of weeks ago was Rib-eye Steaks, after that was Flatiron Steaks with a Lobster tail). Prices for the Sunday food specials have been running from $ 5.00-$ 13.00(call ahead to find out what is on the grill for Sunday). I have been coming here for over 3 years and the staff bend over backwards for you. Nicole and Kramer are the Karaōke DJs and they both have tremendous voices. If they don’t have your song, just ask them to get it. I always have the best(and at times the most unusual) conversations. Well worth your time.

Came with a group of friends here expecting to have a good time. This review is for the KJ chick. She was super rude and ruined this place for us. we definitely will not be coming back here. We ended up leaving early as we did not feel like we were wanted there.

This is and has always been my favorite bar in San Diego County. The people are friendly. The staff is excellent, and the owner is a very nice person. A very lovely place indeed. I met some of my best friends from there and ive always enjoyed spending time there.

On Saturday Jan 9, 2016 at about 930pm-ish, Carriage House was packed! Miriam the bartender was working by herself for awhile. I know she was getting slammed, but she handled herself well, with her usual charm and style. It got better when Andy and Nicole arrived to help, then it was smooth sailing. I like the teamwork they displayed. Also kudos to the Carriage House crowd who understood the situation. This was a fun night, to be honest, as crazy as it was!!!

Great dive bar with karaōke, pool tables and beer selection. Atmosphere wasn’t too loud with the karaōke to where you couldn’t have a conversation with someone next to you and the beer selection is awesome. Bartenders were great, especially the wonderful Miriam!

The bartenders were nice, but the beer selection was awful. This place is first and foremost a karaōke bar, but they’re very cliquey and if you’re here to have fun you had better be a regular. Honestly, I didn’t enjoy myself. I’ll give it a pass next time.

Went with a small group of 5, hardly anyone there. KJ there was already giving us attitude. We were putting songs in, then we were given the speech(talking down to us) that she was going to be really busy and we can only put in 1 song and when we were done singing then we were«allowed» to put in another song. She was rude and obnoxious. She let her regulars sing back to back. Will never go back to this place. We were out to have fun and were treated as if we were a bother. We did tip too and was still given attitude

What a great night. Great selection of karaōke songs and a just order of playing each persons turn at singing. They have a couple of pool tables and an outside area for non karaōke goers to enjoy the scene. Great service and nice crowd.

This place can be hit or miss. There are two kj’s(translation: karaōke DJ’s). I Iike the guy KJ the best. The bartenders here are Very nice. The crowd varies dramatically. You either have your clique of Breakfast Club hipsters(they have dance routines to certain songs & they tend to come in together or be there on same nights). The other option is the local 50+ and up club. They play shuffleboard and most of them will leave once karaōke starts. I used to really like this place but I still prefer Lamplighter. It is cool that they offer karaōke here 7 days a week. Also they dont have a great music selection. I should add the parking lot can be completely full on some nights so be prepared for that.

Came in tonight because I know they have karaōke 7 days a week. Haven’t been here in a few years. The beer is indeed cheap here, and the bartender is really friendly. 2 good pool tables and shuffleboard await. It’s a higher class dive, for sure. The karaōke, on the other hand, has gone downhill. It now sounds like you’re singing in a bathtub, and the mikes are hit and miss(too quiet or too loud). The KJ was just there, no personality. They have a card telling people to check out their song lists online, but they haven’t paid recently, so it’s not available. Song selection is «eh», and the versions are the cheapies that don’t sound right. Read a previous reviewer pointed out the carpets, yeah, their gross. Overall, not impressed. There is a regular following for this place, just don’t really see the draw.

Legit dive. Two pool tables, full size shuffleboard, fair prices, and quite impressive karaōke performances on a Friday night. There’s apparently even free food that I was too much of a pussy to try.

So you’ve ended up at Carriage House. You’re a diamond in the rough. You’re dirty. You’re damaged. All you need is a little love. Plenty of love here. Or as the ladies here tell me «more to love». Never been served a drink here that wasn’t stiff, so be advised. You’re going in for the long haul. The Christmas lights up year round are what tug at my heart strings. Very encouraging crowd for karaōke; a mix between over-40-office– workers-stuck-in-1982’s-fashion and the occasional youth spill over from the nights previous bars. When it’s packed the energy is awesome. When it’s sparse, u start contemplating all your bad life decisions. But I sleep easier at knowing that if it all goes to hell, Carriage House will be there.

Not what I expected! Talk about good times! Right next to Henotez is CH which is a dive bar /karoake house. We were able to get a table before the karaōke crowd came in. You can easily tell who the regulars were since the bartender knew almost everyone. We ended up sharing our table with these two ladies who were closet singers. Drinks were cheap and the crowd had a really good vibe! Decent selection of beers but not too extravagant. Keeping this place as an option when I’m staying in the area that’s for sure!
