Friday night is the best. Enjoyed my time and the music and service was excellent. No issues on this end. I will be back again.

Sorry, I’m not a fan of this place. I don’t drink much and not very often. My drinks were a ripoff and not tasty. The crowd was shady if not sleazy. It’s a fair sized bar with lots of traffic so they must be doing something right. I just can’t figure out what it is. One of my friends likes the place so if I go back with her, I’ll try some food which I hear is pretty good. I’ll just stay away from the drinks.

I had a completely average experience… nothing special, nothing bad. There’s a weird, massive physical split in the bar, so it feels like a divided room. To their credit, the bartender was attuned to both groups and quick to refill. But otherwise, not much going on here.

The prices don’t reflect the neighborhood that this bar is in. A mixed drink plus beer hovers around $ 14. If that’s the case I could’ve stayed downtown. It’s a diverse clientele full of all species most of them look pretty good, or easy on the eyes. Lol.

I, and three friends went in Camel’s on 12⁄12 and had a fun time. The owner, DJ, and a few bartenders made the night special with special songs(80’s-90’s), dance floor just for us, and a evening with special friends and super nice people that work here made for a nice pre Christmas evening. See you again CBI.

This place is a classic townie dive bar. Looks like it was a sweet place back in the day but now it’s rough around the edges with broken floor tile, worn bar top, peeling veneer, cracking vinyl stools, warped pool sticks, etc. Drink prices are reasonable. Bartender and customers are down to earth and friendly. FYI The bathrooms appear to have been renovated

The bartender was, I am trying not to use profanity, a complete jerk. Definitely will not be returning. I should note, since this is a bar, I had not ordered a drink yet when I experienced the horrible service.

I’ve come to this bar a couple of times now because other places I and my family/friends have gone to on a given Friday night haven’t been that great. This isn’t the best bar I’ve ever been to but it’s not the worst either. It IS probably one of the tiniest bar’s I’ve been in, so it’s a little tight moving around and there really isn’t any seating available. The entire outside seating area is covered with cigarette smoke and the occasional marijuana stench, which is kind of unpleasant when the dance floor is right next to the entrance and those smells waft in and out. It would be great to have some better air conditioning(if at all) so the doors could be closed to the smells. The fan hooked up on the wall doesn’t help the sweaty air clear out so it’s a little awkward trying to meet new people and have a good dance when all parties are drenched in sweat. The music is between good and just OK, just depends. Definitely an older crowd, which is fine, but sometimes the female regulars are rude and shove around the dance floor without manners. The drink my sister ordered the first time we went there was really bad and way too strong, plus it took us forever just to order a soda, a water and her bad drink. The bartender was not social and looked overworked, because I only saw the single guy working on serving everyone. The bar is pretty dark inside and feels a bit cavern-ish and the televisions inside play the weirdest stuff. During one instance, we were watching 80s music videos while the music playing in the bar clearly wasn’t supportive to that, and other TVs were playing tons of Shark month commercials, and others had baseball/football, it’s kind of comical. Although this place isn’t first choice, it isn’t un-fun either to come and just try to enjoy a decent night out. If you can ignore all the cigarette smoke, deal with the semi-muggy air, and not buy any drinks and focus only on music and dancing with your friends, this place is OK to come to. I don’t recommend coming to this place to pick up anyone, but they don’t have a cover charge and you can have some fun dancing with friends.

A real dive bar if that’s what you’re into to. Sleazy women that try to hang on your man. Would not ever go back!!!

The Breath. The Toe. CBI. Any way you slice it this place is hands down the best bar in ALL of San Diego. I’ve been coming here for years. Friendly(for the most part) bartenders and the locals will make you feel welcome if you’re not a douche. Karaōke is great with it’s KJs and acoustics. Enjoy!

Camels Breath keeps it 100. I came in on a sunday they had a man named Carl J. doing karaōke he was doing his rendition of Gin and Juice. I thought it was the Snoop Dogg. Shot out to the bartender Carrie and Lindsey and to all of Carl J. fam in there who keep it 100 on and poppin.

Karaōke is good on Wed and Sun nights. Cant beat the drinks or the price of them anywhere in Daygo. If you want to actually taste the liquor in your drinks this is the place to be ! Very friendly laid back crowd during the weekdays. Energetic crowd on Friday and Saturday nights for dancing to R&B and Old Skool. Competitive pool games on the tables as well. Can’t seem to find a date? If you cant find one here then there is something wrong with you ! Lol. There are men and women of all shapes sizes and races that are very approachable for the most part. This is a good uptown alternative if you are sick of downtown attitudes and prices…

After hitting up so many modern night clubs sometimes you need to chill out and experience the breath! I believe this is one of the spot where the older SD crowd hangs out. FYI, males, if you been striking out in Downtown just come to the breath, you will pick up something for sure! With that said, this place has tiny restrooms, pool table, stiff drinks, and cold brew. Oh and the music –OHMAN, the music is dusty AF!!! There is not really much more I want to say about the Breath because its the Breath, you just got to experiance it.

After being dragged into here with my friends after a Chargers game and experiencing a restroom that had a shower curtain in place of a door, I swore I would never go back. But, I was dragged in a second time. This place is a dirty cougar’s den – but not the Stiffler’s mom type of cougar! The bartenders seemed nice and I’m pretty sure our drinks were cheap. We watched spandex clad softball players scream karaōke while we uncomfortably slammed our drinks and left. I heard the ladies room now has stalls, but still.

Every-time I mention I went here a friend usually pipes up with how much they hated the place. Not a good sign… especially considering we all love Dive Bars. Staff seems really nice, I hear nothing good about the owner though.
