I have been taking lessons from Chris for about 8 months now. From the very first lesson, concepts that had puzzled or confused me for years all started making sense. Chris’ curriculum was illuminating. I began to actually understand the instrument– a great feeling, and worth every penny! I would highly recommend Chris to musicians or beginners looking to learn the guitar. I wish I had found him sooner!

I began taking lessons in 2006 as a gift from my wife. I’ve known Chris now for over 8 years and I can tell you he’s a great teacher. I came in knowing nothing about playing guitar, so don’t think you have to be a musician to start taking lessons. Eight years later I’m still learning and having fun playing songs and learning some theory. I started playing later in life as well, so if guitar has been a lifelong «dream» let Chris help you make it happen. He’s patient, he’s funny and he knows his stuff. I highly recommend Chris and California Guitar Academy for any aspiring guitarists.

Chris at California Guitar Academy is a great teacher and I highly recommend him to anyone of any level interested in seriously improving their skills. I’ve been taking lessons with Chris for two years and have seen tremendous improvements in all aspects, from music theory to classical pieces all the way down to metal.
