I’ve eaten here many times. Food is prepared with care and thought to quality and presentation. I recommend the Benny for breakfast and the Dank for lunch. Well done and great taste. The also are considerate to specific requests so do to hesitate to ask.

Good mom and pop shop. I got the gooey grilled cheese with bacon. It wasn’t very filling but what do you expect with a grilled cheese. The other options seem appealing and I will be back to try them as they are close to my office. I’d give five stars but the atmosphere is somewhat disrupted by what I believe are the sounds of weights being slammed on the floor from upstairs. Not sure if there is a gym upstairs but that can be really annoying. It will happen about 15 times while you are here.

Like previously said, this is a hidden little place off 7th ave. It’s small so I suggest calling ahead. The food is closest to «mom and pop» good I’ve ever had in San Diego. I’m from the Mass so I’m used to these places, and this one is really good. I suggest the chicken salad sandwhich on an everything bagel haha Cheers, Alex

This sandwich shop is right down the street from my office so the convenience is huge. Yesterday I ordered a turkey sandwich that was really yummy. The sourdough bread was VERY fresh and it was so big, I could only eat half. A good deal for under $ 5. The fruit bowl I ordered was pricier at $ 3 but worth it because the fruit was fresh cut, flavorful and included blueberries, strawberries and pineapple. The young girls that sometimes take your order are a little off putting but only because they’re SO young. This is definitely a family establishment and one that doesn’t pretend to be anything but. I’ll certainly be back several times a month.

Inexpensive, filling, hidden sandwich shop. I had a sandwich special and it was too much food! at $ 4.50… I didn’t pick the Healthiest choice on the menu but they do have healthier options(note to self for next time). They also serve breakfast ’till 11am and seem to have many breakfast«leftovers» like bagels and yogurt parfaits available for purchase throughout the day. They have a full Coffee/espresso bar available too. Didn’t try their drinks though — so no opinion on that.

This place is pretty good. Low prices and I haven’t eaten anything that I haven’t liked yet. Their soup is a STEAL at like 2.50 for a «cup» which is pretty big. Their chili isn’t bad either, though I’m pretty sure it comes from a Hormel can. If you’re looking to save a buck at lunch time, this is the place to go.
