No bathrooms open on the weekend, but overall a good space to play ball at. The bleachers are pretty old and they turn a little when you sit on them, which makes you feel like they might give out on you and fall through… but thankfully that didn’t happen while I was sitting on them haha. parking is okay, all around the field there’s street parking but if you show up late when there’s something going on, then you might have to find street parking a couple blocks down. but no biggie it’s not that far.

There are no bathrooms on the weekends you need to go to the gas station on the corner its not a far walk in the park’s defense. I play games here every sunday there’s a huge sand whole by home base which sucks for batters. A little bit of an oldschool park but I enjoy going here for games. Kids can play on the school playground when its open.

Cabrillo Rec Center is a great community rec center; casual, reasonable prices for activities, and a bit«old school.» They have basketball courts, tennis courts, a multi-purpose field, softball field, kids’ play areas, and a community building They also have after school care for the local schools, and summer camps, all reasonably priced. I first learned about Cabrillo Rec Center about 10 years ago, because our wonderful babysitter told us that she had great memories spending entire summers there at camp when she was a kid, and then as a camp leader/helper there, when she was a teenager. Great training for babysitting. Our girls went to basketball camp there one summer, and had a really good time. Very laid-back. They have sports and other activities for kids like tennis lessons, soccer, yoga, ceramics, and flag football, reasonably priced. Many of the times are geared for working parents(evenings and weekends). Check out their website for more details. Cabrillo Rec Center also has 2 tennis courts(unlighted) open 7 a.m. — 6 pm. You can pay $ 5 to play(pick up key in the rec center), or you can join and your dues help upkeep of the courts. Year membership is $ 60/person, $ 85/family, $ 50/senior, $ 70/senior couple. Membership also includes use/upkeep of the Point Loma Cabrillo Tennis Club,
