Brian’s Alterations & Cleaners

I walked in frantic, and in a rush with a new dress that needed to be altered in 2 hours for a wedding. I honestly didn’t think it was going to happen, but thankfully Brian’s alterations was able to accommodate my needs. They fitted me, I paid, and 2 hours later it ready for pick up. It fit perfect, and I am so thankful I decided to make this my first stop in my attempt, and I am very thankful I did. It was a very reasonable price as well, anytime I need alterations, I will be back.

He doesn’t get it.
I have been so nice to this kid and he continues to destroy clothes and loses garments and does not understand customer service. He is all about the $$$$ and charges way too much. I like supporting locals and wanted to see him succeed, but after 5 years I am done with him.

They ruined my custom suit jacket with a big stain on the front of it, then told me it was there before I brought it in. Uh no it wasn’t. Tried to clean it again but no luck. Then he offered to give me $ 7. Yeah that’s gonna cover the cost of my ruined custom suit, do NOT go here.

Ripped my shirt and refused pay for it. After 20 minutes he finally gave me half of its cost cash $ 30 and then fixed the rip. He tried to blame me for the rip which was not the case. I paid for the cleanings upfront cash and tried to say I didn’t

I just had a very bad experience here & will never return nor recommend this place. I paid $ 25 to have an expensive, beautiful (LL Bean) wool blanket dry cleaned & when I picked it up it smelled strongly of laundry detergent. Sure enough, when I got home & put it on my bed I saw that IT HAD NOT BEEN DRY CLEANED AS I’D PAID FOR but obviously had been put in a washer & hot dryer as there was tremendous shrinkage (6 – 8 inches width & length) & it no longer fully covered the double bed as it had before. When I told Brian he insisted, despite the irrefutable evidence, that it had been dry cleaned & refused to give a full refund, only a partial one. Even telling him I would never return after going there for 2 yrs for alterations had no impact. Absolutely unbelievable how someone can run a business like this. So all I can do is write this review, never return nor recommend. .. and let it go.

Does amazing work and worked with me on pricing. I would recommend to anybody. He was fast and courteous. He takes pride in his work and it shows.

This place has very affordable prices compared to many places that I’ve been. Very timely work as well. I was very pleased with the tailoring that I got done here, I’ll be coming back for sure.

I had been pleased with the business so far, and has been a regular client for a while, however today I had a very negative experience. I had dropped of my drycleanning early in the week at received a stub with $ 41 total bill when I dropped off my clothing. However, upon coming to pick it up a week later, I found out that the bill was actually 50. I refused to pay the new quote, saying that it is the owner’s mistake that he has misquoted me, that he should honor the original quote, that he has a week to tell me that he has misquoted me (he took down my phone number as part of the service.) The owner got really upset, started yelling and threatened to put dirt on one of my dresses if I don’t pay his new quote. I was shocked! I asked him again to honor the original quote he told me. Which he did, but followed me out of the car yelling at me, causing a scene on the street. He kept waving at me the original quote with $ 41 on it (which I had paid) as if to disprove his own point. Unfortunately, I will never use this place again. That was an awful experience.

I haven’t been pleased with any of the tailors that I’ve used in PB so far. I had to get a bridesmaid dress altered (hem & have it taken out a little). I was very nervous to try a place that didn’t have Unilocal reviews yet, but I figured it couldn’t hurt! I also brought some pants that needed to be hemmed with me. Brian was very prompt and made perfect alterations on both the pants and the dress! I’ll definitely be a regular here!
