I would give this 3 ½ stars… but bottle service and drunken memories move it up to 4.
Iteresting place the first thing you notice steppping in is that it looks like any other club downtown, nothing special until you realize the DJ is Jaming. I went on a Saturday so I can’t tell you about any other night but that alone gets my appreciation and a future return visit.
If you go down to the basement it’s more of a dark house seen. And upstairs is where it get’s interesting. I’m amazed that people sign up for the torture wheel, but I would be lieing if I wasn’t intrigued for more than a few moments as more than one cutie enjoyed the punishment… WOW… not going to be me!
Origionally they tried to put us in a nook right off the dance floor, not much space plus they have low hanging chandeliers that were a total buzz kill, until we moved. So my advice is to ask for a table upstairs if your going that route.

Decent place, get in on the guestlist, $ 5 coat check, decent music. Not enough places to sit but pretty small dance floor and nice atmosphere.

I was expecting it to be a sketchy, shitty music playing club but I was wrong. I went on a Friday night and first walking in the dj was playing really good hip hop jams.
I only explored three levels I think that’s all they have?
The décor was something else, sex related but not nasty shit haha. The dominatrix wheel was interesting they have seating area to watch.
I liked that it was far from all the cluster of clubs in downtown makes it a bit easier to find street parking.
Watch out for some cats who think they know how to dance… Nope.
Drinks reasonably priced for downtown.

A group of us went to Boudoir on a Saturday to celebrate Ellen’s birthday and overall, we had a lot of fun. Boudoir is new and sexy, but it is jam packed with the early 20’s crowd. If I was in my early 20’s and didn’t know what I know now, I would think that this was place awesome!!! But now that we’re more «mature» (wink), have indulged in the exotic at many far away places, and are probably a little jaded, I’d say that this place is decent. Obviously its not my crowd but the venue had nothing to do with that. We also didn’t notice the age gap too much since our group hung out together on the third level in our own little section.
The décor is somewhat naughty, the drink prices surprisingly cheap (approx. $ 5 for a beer and $ 10 for mixed drinks) and the bartenders hooked our group up with heavy pours. The highlight of our evening was watching the resident dominatrix, Ms. Daniella, punish many eager souls. This place doesn’t come close to the fetish clubs in LA or in Europe, but its good enough for conservative San Diego.

So the last time I shook my booty was the day before Graduation (probably not the best idea… but hey, we wanted to de-​stress). Since I had never had a mind blowing Halloween where I got to dress up and take the bf dancing, I figured, why not go clubbing?
The club was poppin’! The bartenders were looking fine, the ambiance was clever (upstairs was the «Saints» and downstairs offered «Sinners) and those who just wanted to get really close and mingle stayed on ground floor.
Drinks were typical price ($ 10 a shot or a mixed drink) and the DJ was pretty good on Halloween weekend. When you ask for a Long Island, they sure made sure you got the many different alcohol it contained… they’re goal was to make sure you were drunk as a sailor.
There was also a cool Dominatrix area where there was quite the interesting Show&Tell going on. ;P
Since my clubbing experience in SD is less than frequent, I guess I can’t fully say that my judgement of this rating is 100% accurate. But I tried.
1 star off because a few days before the event, they had sent up information on how to get on the guest list. We signed up, but they «couldn’t find out names» once we got there. Meh. Just saying I would’ve spent that extra cover fee on drinks…

I ordered one beer, bartender seemed to find me as an inconvenience, I still tipped $ 1. Checked my bank statement to find that the prick WROTE IN an additional tip of $ 24.
Yeah, the bartender took the liberty to write in his own tip of $ 24 on a $ 5 tab.
I guess I’ll have to fight the bank with this one.

Location: Gaslamp! Always a nice area :)
Price: Free cover for me (girl), but I’m not sure what its like normally
Drinks: Really expensive, so pre-​game!
Music: GOOD STUFF! I like electronica and they had a good blend of popular top 40s (remixed) with some nice electronica music.
Theme: BDSM, a little over the top but the venue is still very nice and pretty. There’s a wheel that you can strap people onto and you whip them. The only downside to that is that you have to tip $ 20 – 40 to get on the wheel.
Dance floor: Not super big, but I feel its big enough. There is a small raised platform for those who like to dance above all others as if you were on a stage. There are also 2 poles for girls to dance on. Don’t try it guys, you’ll get yelled at by a bouncer: T
Other cool stuff: I managed to grab a free light stick thing that strobes multiple colors, as well as a ring that strokes colored lights :). Occassionally, they would send out their «party people» team to pump up the atmosphere with blasts of cool condensed air or by throwing out free stuff :).

Boudoir is a place like no other. I came with a few friends, one which got us on the guest list, so we ended up paying no cover.
The #1 thing you gotta check out here is the bondage wheel. Imagine being strapped to a leather wheel, tickled, spanked and whipped, while being spun around by a gorgeous lady dressed in all black leather. Yea, it’s that awesome. I don’t think I’d ever go on it, but it’s something you can’t miss out on watching.
The drinks here are pretty reasonable for a club. If you want to get drunk quickly, get a cranberry vodka, which will come out to $ 8. Make sure you buy drinks at the ground level, though, because they’re $ 1 more on the dancefloor. Not sure what idiot thought of that, but that was my experience.
The crowd here is pretty classy as far as San Diego goes. You can find some chill down to earth people to dance or kick it with. Not too many hood rats or crazy cholos. Most people here keep it classy.

From what I remember, this place was rather small. The DJ was pretty good, but the dance floor was small. It’s well decorated and there is some kind of S&M spinning wheel or torture/​doom. There are a lot of frikkin stairs which for women is torture.
Walking up and down stairs in stilettos with increasing intoxication. I probably got my mysterious bruise because i fell but I don’t remember.
In the end, I think I had a good time despite stairs master torture and tiny dance floor. But who doesn’t have fun when they’re drunk with their friends?

Ok, so the site says they are Moulin Rouge and Chicago theme inspired with gogo dancers and a dominatrix and kinky aspects, well these are all lies. It is just another Douche bag bar in the Gaslamp district!
If you like spending $ 20/​person to get in to a place that is full of the same old crowd with bad music and a very weak bar, then, by all means go. Otherwise, definitely not worth walking into.
An advertised «Kinky, sexy theme» should not have a «library» with books from a yard sale that no one would ever read unless they were taking an accounting class, no they should only have items that perpetuated that theme.
They advertised a dominatrix and kinky fun and what do we find? More douche bags taking pictures.
Such a waist of my money and the 20 minutes I stayed there.

This is for sure not the hottest club in town, but at least does have a variety of interesting areas to check out. I was definitely excited to check out one of the newest clubs downtown, and it was Leather and Lace night, so I thought it would be fun to get dressed up. When we first walked in, the crowd was in their early 20s for the most part. Only a few of the patrons dressed in leather and lace… the staff was oddly dressed in jean shorts and plaid shirts with cowboy hats. I loved the décor… sleek red and black booths with chandeliers with eery lighting. I also liked the fact there were different levels to explore and different rooms to check out. Unfortunately, there was only one type of music… the DJ downstairs was the DJ we heard no matter where we were. I started out drinking cocktails, but they were weak, bad and small. I switched to champagne and we found a generous bartender who topped out our glasses with decent champagne for $ 8 (a steal in the Gaslamp).
The lib ray (a small room near the entrance) is a chill place to relax and chat with friends… as it is quiet and comfy… and you can sit without buying bottle service. The upstairs room with the «wheel», is not terribly interesting, but looks like people were celebrating birthdays or bachelorette parties and having fun laughing and taking pictures of friends on the wheel.
As far as the downstairs, I liked the fact that it was spacious and had an actual dance floor, not just some spot on the floor in front of the DJ booth as a lot of clubs seem to have. The crowd was definitely odd. Ages ranged from about 20 – 60 and some were dressed to the nines, and others desperately were in need of a dress code. Truthfully, the crowd was so diverse, there is no problem with fitting in, but looking around, I realized this place is in dire need of a dress code and I wasn’t even sure how some people got in.
This is definitely not THE place to be, but interesting enough to check out. As there are so many other choices, however, that I doubt I’ll be back.

Oh my goodness! My friend wanted to go on the wheel — they had him sign a disclaimer before he did. I thought she was going to go easy on him, but she went all out with the whipping and slapping. It was intense!
The club’s not that big — there’s the main floor with a bar and a few booths, upstairs is the bondage wheel with a VIP seating arrangement, and the basement is the dance floor with another bar.
I also like that it’s a much older and classier crowd. This is not your «On Broadway» type of scene.
Only downfall: I didn’t really like how the main lounge area and the downstairs dance floor were so segregated. We had to go out the door, down a little hall, and down 2 flights of stairs in order to get to the dance floor — that’s just too much traveling after a few drinks!

After hearing so many good things about this place, I honestly don’t know why.. . This place used to be the Jade Theater and I remember it being meh but after coming back to it as Boudoir, it was more meh. Haha.
It pretty much looks the same just the interior was different. The main floor was useless because nobody chills there. The only good thing about the first floor was the bar. The top floor is kinda useless as well because all you do is look down to the main floor. Haha. The only place people were occupying was the downstairs basement?
I’m not sure about the dominatrix theme but whatever. Didn’t bother me too much but I was pretty bored with everything that was going on and it makes me not wanna come back here again.
Oh ya, the only good thing about this place is the drinks. My boyfriend bought a round for $ 40 which is pretty good considering it’s supposed to be a «nice» club.

Bondage wheel, whips, ball gags, and other naughty toys are upstairs. Lounge on the first floor. Booty shakin’ in the basement. I thought it was an older, classier crowd. Me likey.

It wasn’t from this place, because I had a busy night. But wow. This place… A very unique experience compared with everything else. Drinks here are really sub-​par (as is most clubs); so get yo business done before hand, come here and then just go straight to the 3^rd floor.

Talk about pushing the limits!
There is certainly nothing like in San Diego as far as mainstream entertainment. It appears as though the combined the theme/​feel of a Burlesque /​Peep Show, Dominatrix, edgy Vegas into one place. The creators of this club did one thing right, came up with a very original theme and concept for this night club.
Where I deduct one star is for the pricey drinks! I understand it’s a nightclub, but the prices are on the high end of a club.
I also like the fact that there are multiple floors with multiple rooms. It’s nice that they place different genre of music to accomodate different taste.
Overall, a fun night out, especially on a Saturday. Worth checking out so you can make your own assessment.

It was definitely an experience walking in to this place… From the looks of things on the outside I’m thinking okay… Another upscale club type Ivy/​Stingaree feel… But once inside, it’s a whole different chapter up in here! Handcuffs, whips, chains, and dildoes as décor?! Surely it was alot to take in all at once…
Theres two rooms in here that need to be mentioned… As you walk in… Theres this old fashioned library looking room?! That had to be one of the most random things i’ve ever seen at a nightclub, but then again this isn’t your typical nightclub… And UPSTAIRS! Well let’s just say… Never mind I can’t even explain what I saw up there… You’re just gonna have to go and see it for yourself =X
Bartenders scantily dressed are scattered all over the place… Downstairs was where it was most normal… Pretty typical scenario in there… Good music (Hip Hop/​Techno, but more so techno)…
Overall, for those of you who are looking for something different… This is THE SPOT! I had a great time here… Good people, good music, and interesting but fun venue… Almost like a movie set! Lots of room for you to move and breathe… Which is one of the most important things I look for when going to a club. I will most certainly be back here!

Is this a nightclub or an S&M swingers club? Yikes!
Boudoir (which is also a name for a French lady’s bedroom) is quite a sultry and seductively themed club. It’s ornately decked out in leather, lace, and corsets all over the place. It’s almost like an Edgar Allan Poe story set in a private fetish convention run by a successful San Diego nightlife conglomerate.
Our hero’s biggest gripe about Boudoir are the drinks. As a martini lover, he was shocked to find that they didn’t have any martini glasses on hand. The olives they use are way too big and salty to be used in martinis and two different bartenders he ordered martinis from here really half-​assed it and barely shook it up. The result was lukewarm and tepid shots of vodka served in highball glasses. Ick.
PROS:
— Cool dominatrix wheel on the top floor. I wish I had one of these in my room!
— Interesting 3 level layout.
— Hot go-​go dancers.
CONS:
— Red light district lighting, blacked out windows, and homeless people sleeping 30 feet from the front door makes this place a bit seedy looking on the outside.
— Weak pours and bad martinis from the bartenders.

This is a very large club with three levels. The middle level where you enter has a bar with ladies in lingerie sitting on the counters. they are beautiful ladies of course and there are separate areas for VIP service. One that stood out to me is a room that actually looks like your den where you would read books. Other areas in the club is amazing with sexual toys hanging as the décor. The staff is great and they great everyone who passes by… SAY HELLO!!!
The top floor is a whole different level to experience. They have a Dominatrix wheel where a beautiful lady whips you. (she too is hot).You can watch these ladies dancing in a room behind glass windows and watch them get erotic. WOW. But with all this sexual beautiful women around, there is one guy who stood out. Nick Ivory of Modern Day Illusions.
. He did some things in front of me that I seriously thought he sold his soul to the devil to be able to perform those illusions. The bottom floor has a dance floor along with a stripper pole. YEAH BABY!
Overall, I enjoyed myself and I’m hoping that the promoters would be able to attract a good diverse crowd. It wasn’t as crowded as I thought it would be but the grand opening is on December 2, 2010.

The best club in San Diego! It is like Vegas in there. Go up to the bar to get a drink, be sure to say hello to the lingerie model sitting on the bar. Chandeliers draped with adult toys and handcuffs, the wheel of pain (dominatrix included), stripper poles, a magician (really)! Awesome.
Three levels, everything brand new, you can smell the fresh paint and wood. I will for sure be back, loved it!
