Great service, great selection, great location, I’ll be coming back. Brave owners too… opening up a shop right where one failed. I wish them the best!

I bought 2 beach cruisers here and am very happy with my purchase. You get some quality bikes here and they have a nice selection to choose from. The girl who sold me my first bike was very polite and helpful. She recommended the perfect bike for me. My second bike was purchased from a guy. Probably the most awkward sale I’ve ever had. He rang me up fast, didn’t make eye contact, didn’t say much and handed me my bike without saying thank you. Before walking out I asked if I could get my front wheel off to put in the car and he hands me a wrench. Service could be better but still a great place for quality bikes! 3 stars :)

Very helpful with my tire problem. It may seem aloof in there, but the guys know what they are doing. Had my tire pop in for the second time in less than a month and was a little agitated. Gil, the employee, fixed my tire(free of charge) and took the time to show me what I may have been doing wrong. NIce to see a place that understands what good customer service is about.

The repair man was so helpful. Everyone was pleasant and they didn’t overcharge me. I will definitely be going back for any bicycle needs I have!

Great place. I bought a child carrier there and went home and tried to install it on my old cruzer… Had problems and went back there to see if they could help. Very friendly and took the time to show me what I was doing wrong. It is that type of customer service that will keep me coming back. Great selection as well.

the girl that helped me out was super friendly and awesome… am likely going to get my bike here… or their sister store over in coronado(since they didn’t carry the specific specialized bike in the size that i needed to try out!)

These guys had just recently opened a repair shop so I brought my road bike here for a repair because I had stripped one of the pedal sockets out. Nick, the bike mechanic, said he didn’t have the right parts to do the job. I then took my bike to 7 other bike shops, all of which said I would have to buy an entirely new crank set for the bike(~$ 100) because it wasn’t worth fixing. I brought it back here and told Nick to order the parts. Once he had the tools, this job that was not worth while to the other bike shops took Nick around 15 mins and cost around $ 20. This was a few months ago and that pedal is still going strong. I highly recommend bring your bike here for service. They might not have some parts in stock(since the repair shop is pretty new and specializes in beach bikes) but they seem to be honest and know what they’re doing. I’ll certainly be returning in the future. BTW, it might also be worth noting that the owner of Holland’s bicycles in Coronado recently purchased this shop so that could explain some of the negative reviews from a few years ago as compared with my experience.

These guys are great. By far the largest selection in San Diego and probably the web. Most places have only a few brands and a few on display. This place is packed full of bikes to test ride. We bought ours and rode directly to Mission Bay. No need for a car if you live in the area just ride home like we did. I did a lot of looking around and they sell the best of the best and the best of the cheapest. All their bikes are quality no matter the price range. I bought and Electra and love it. If they don’t have it in stock they can get it quick and assemble it for you.

Really disappointed with the experience here. Dropped off two bikes on a Saturday for a tune ups and tires. They said they would be ready the next day and we got no phone call. We called and they told us their mechanic quit so the work wasn’t done. They said they’d have another person work on it and call us in a few days. No call. We decided to just go pick up the bikes 8 days after we dropped them off. Got there and they said they wouldn’t charge us for the tune ups, BUT the person helping us couldn’t figure out if they were in fact tuned up. They were definitely not tuned up. What a waste of time. They could have at least called us and kept us posted on the delays. Never going back.

This place has a great selection and good prices but forget service. We’ve been in multiple times to find some accessories for our beach cruisers and getting help is like pulling teeth. The last time the sales person wouldn’t even get up to answer questions, we had to yell them across the sales floor. We went elsewhere and paid a bit more but got way better service.

Yep, I agree with the other service comments– they’re not a jump up and help staff but they are knowledgeable and willing to help if you have questions or need some assembly. I was looking for a very specific bike, the pink Paul Frank beachcruiser, and discovered online they had it. I called the store and they said they had just sold the only one in stock, but they were more than willing to special order one for me. They called when it came in and assembled it for me, and in the process the seat was damaged, so he put on a new, even nicer seat for no charge. I did my research– this is a bike that runs upwards of $ 350 at most shops and they sold it to me for less than anywhere else I could find it. I have and will be back for any bike needs.

Bought my purple beach cruiser here. I bought it for $ 135(pre-tax) already assembled. The guy working as mentioned in the other review does stay behind the counter and isn’t all enthusiastic and smiley. But I asked him bunch of questions and he was really knowledgeble and helpful. I like the store because it has a good range of prices from the bike I bought(cheapest one there) to $ 500. I did have to order my fenders special order because they didn’t have my color/wheel size in stock. It got there promptly and they called to let me know it was at the store. Go buy your beach cruiser there!

My husband and I went a few Sunday’s ago to check out some beach cruisers and they were closed! I never thought a bike store would be closed on a weekend but whatever… we came back during business hours and when we walked in we were the only ones in the store besides the dude that worked there. We looked around for a bit, asked a few questions and the guy sitting behind the computer did not really glance up from whatever he was doing — not much help… at first. Finally a few more people walked into the store so he got up and started helping us. He was actually very friendly once he started helping us. We test rode a few bikes and that is when he figured out we were serious about spending some money. He pumped up our tires, adjusted our seats, helped with accessories, and I loved that he was not up selling us like crazy. He was very respectful of our decisions — we were not buying the most expensive bikes but not the cheapest either. Overall, we had a good experience and the other customers all bought bikes as well. I recommend this place if you want something nice without spending a lot of money. Then again they have pretty cool bikes and you could spend a small fortune here. They do deliver bikes within the San Diego area for $ 20.00 if needed which I am sure is a huge help to people without bike racks or SUV’s. Minus one star because we had to help ourselves in the beginning of our bike buying adventure.

5 stars for the selection and price. you can get a great looking bike for under 150 – 190 and 20 bucks off shipping if you’re in california! yay! keep in mind that after assembly, some maintenaince might be required. i had to get my wheels trued for like 40 bucks at a local shop after assembly. apparently, this is normal for bikes that come in a box! a lot of classif but fun styles and not super cheesy or cheap looking as i’ve seen. local shops in santa cruz charge like 400 bucks for an okay looking bike — yuk! but the service gets just 1 star! my experience has been with online sales. i paid for one bike in august and haven’t received it yet bc it’s been on backorder. first they said october(and offered $ 10 off another bike), then november then i haven’t heard anything and have been waiting. it took several emails and a couple voice messages to finally get a call back to let me know that it’s still coming! when??? hmm. mystery — i’m not sure. but it’s hit or miss. another bike i ordered came right away. wait for a sale — they usually have some promotion going online(ex. for xmas.) and i even found one of the bikes that i liked offered for $ 100! GUH… this was of course after i had ordered and received a different one! At $ 100, it would have changed my mind pretty quickly — wish i had waited :(
