What a great place to learn to dance, as well as to get some practice with your ballroom dances. Friday and Sunday evenings starting at 6:45pm. Two dances taught each month for the whole month, usually a smooth(waltz, foxtrot, etc.) and a latin(chacha, salsa, samba, etc.). Separate groups for beginners, intermediate and advanced dancers. No partner needed! Beginner group is excellent for those like me with two left feet. Took me a year and a half of doing the beginning classes to try the intermediate, but those more coordinated can move on whenever they fell they’re ready. Getting more practice in other than just this place will advance you a lot faster than I did without. Great instructors, they seem to enjoy dance and teaching it which makes learning much more enjoyable. Give it a try if you’re interested in low cost, but excellent dance instruction and meeting a lot of really nice people. Crowd is generally older, 50 plus, but lots of younger folks as well.

My husband and I attended when we were looking for a dance lesson to go to on a friday night. There are three groups, beginner, intermediate and advanced so you can choose where your level and join. The really horrifying experence was that there was a woman(elderly approx 60 or older) who was wearing a shirt and pants. She joined the man’s group when the instructor asked for men and women to face each other. I though it was because«maybe there was not enough women». SO she starting rotating dancing with women. The women did not think anything of it thinking this is «normal». When it was time to rotate this woman ended up without a partner so she looked around and fortunately there was another man who was without partner and approached her to dance and she said I dont dance with a man!!! In short she prefers women to dance with. This is cool however, did she think most women wants to dance with a woman? Is that showing courtesy to those who dont want to dance with her? wow… I came with my husband so luckily I did not have to embarrass her. But pls be considerate, take this to an environment who supports women dancing with each other. Not here. Unless this place has become friendly with this??? BEWARE!!! Otherwise the instructors were wonderful and knowledgeable. They teach well that you can come home with a routine.
