Only a few business these days can really get 5 star reviews without bias, and this company really deserves the 5 stars. She’s been in business for decades and always uses her artistic talent in her baking. This is a must for anyone that wants gourmet desserts at an affordable price! She does caterings, barmitzvas, Weddings, birthdays, quinceañeras, and casual events regardless of who you are!
If you have a strong respect for good food I would strongly suggest going here. The location is pretty good as well, walking distance from downtown, and driving distance from all over San Diego/​cornado. Enjoy

Her cake arrived, beautifully drecorated, but hard as a rock inside… absolutely the dryest cake I have ever eaten. in fact, it was delivered on Tuesday and is still sitting here, uneaten on Sat…:(

I have been using Baked by Etta now for years. Everything is top quality. She never says no I can’t do that. I always have to have plenty on hand when family comes a calling, they expect it and would be disappointed if I do not have some of Etta’s lemon bars (best in the city), and cinnamon buns, on hand for morning coffee. If your are lucky she will have some Fresh rugela when you stop by the shop. Thanks for the homemade goodness Etta… I will be back!

While the shop is no longer in existence, Etta still is. By order only she will amaze and delight you and your guests. Her wheat-​free chocolate cake has been a hit at every occasion I’ve ordered it for, dark, delectable and absolutely out of this world, it is an unparalled treat!
