Good food, nice people. What not to like. :) I had the chipotle benedict, my friend had a salad. We shared the banana nutella crêpe at the end. Overall, good food. Will be back for sure.

Really cute decorations, too bad we came on a warm weekend and the AC was off… It just didn’t feel good sitting in there. Things are a bit overpriced, I paid $ 4 for a cup of OJ that isn’t even filled to the top. Got the California Eggs Benedict, the avocado tasted unripe. I wish they could’ve slapped a piece of bacon/ham/or whatever protein with it. It made me sad eating it. The plate came with some potatoes and cut fruits. The potatoes were good, but let’s be real, how can you messed up potatoes… LOL The fruits were warm, definitely did not help when there was no AC. Probably won’t come back again.

This place is hard to dine at. The first time I went, it was on a Sunday and they were closed. Today, we got there at 9am and they were not yet open. I am not sure what time they open but on Unilocal it list 9am as the opening time. We were not the only ones there at 9am confused with the opening times. Oh well that most 6 customers. There isn’t even a list of their operational hours on the door so not sure what their hours are… What a waste of my time

Will not be returning here. Came here with two other people — both of the omelettes were overcooked(super brown) and the carne asada in my «Mexican omelette» was inedible. One important thing to point out is that every time we come here one of their machines is broken. Today it was their fryer but that didn’t really matter because we didn’t order anything that needed to be fried. Their breakfast options are really limited, if you are thinking about getting anything with Eggs. They have about four omelette choices and then they have other sugary options such as crepes and waffles. The servers are very nice but the food just kills everything for me. Would not recommend.

Ok, I would review the food if I got the chance to actually sit down and eat, but since that didn’t happen, I’ll just review the experience in general. My cousin found this place through Unilocal(we’re all about the Unilocal), and this place had 4 stars, so we came to check it out. It’s superrrr cute. Small, but modernly trendy and very clean. So we walked in and we had about 8 people. I completely understand that they couldn’t accommodate a large party right away so we waited a while. There were several 2 person tables that were available and I was hoping they would offer to just push the tables together, but they didn’t. When my cousin got there, we suggested it, but they said«we can do that but it will still take a long time to get your order and to get your food because we are short staffed». Mind you, this was a Saturday around brunch time(11ish). I was kinda like… why would you be short staffed on a weekend, probably the busiest times, and when you only serve breakfast and brunch! It was really strange. She was really nice about it, but it doesn’t seem to be business smart to only staff two people to work on a Saturday morning. I really wanted to try their food, but at this rate, it doesn’t seem like I’d have the three hours to wait for it.

What a disappointing experience. The place is cute and looks clean, and the waitress(the only one in the whole place) was very sweet, that’s all the good things I can say. It took over an hour to get brunch and it wasn’t busy at all. I got the California Eggs Benedict which came out ice cold and the avocado was hard as a rock. We sent it back and the second round was just mediocre. For Sunday brunch with only 3 people and a dead restaurant, I was extremely disappointed. The gave us cake(looked pre made) and 20% off as an «I’m sorry» which was nice, but I would have rather eaten good food at a different place. Womp womp.

I usually come during the weekdays and the service its a little bit slow but yesterday my wife and I decided to try the brunch I order the Chipotle eggs benedict and my wife the chicken and mushroom crêpe we were so impressed because the food arrived in less than 5 minutes and the restaurant was crowded than usuall and it was just perfect right temperature, right amount of food and the place is fantastic. Thank you guys for giving us a wonderful saturday with your Excellent food and service! I totally recommend this place go and try them.

Took the GF for brunch here on a $ 12 for $ 20 groupon deal. Everything was wonderful from start to finish except that the food could use more flavor. The staff and atmosphere were amazing, though. The hollandaise sauce on the eggs Benny seemed to lack lemon juice and cayenne pepper. The Canadian bacon seemed bland, too. Other than that, just fine, including 3 nice runny egg yolks, side of potatoes, and a small cup of fruit for dessert. The potatoes were our favorite part out of both dishes. The strawberry and banana crepes had a beautiful presentation and a «light» taste. Since I’m not a huge sugar person this wasn’t much of a bummer. Felt like I was eating a heart-healthy meal instead of splurging on a nice sweet brunch. I would go back and give them another go and hope that there’s more flavor next time. If so, I’ll bump up my review to 5 stars. Cheers!

I’ll say this, if you work up in Miramar this is a great place to take clients quickly and have a more casual lunch or brunch. Nothing like this up this way. That being said, the food was decent and not extremely overpriced. However, there is a lot of confusion when you walk in on how to order or where to sit. There definitely needs to be better direction for customers. I personally was confused when the gal behind the counter said that it would take longer for me to order to go than to just sit down. I think she just was looking for a tip. Not too thrilled about that. Would I be back? Probably not.

Brought in co-workers here for lunch and was very pleasantly surprised by the meal. It was a little slow, but we had a big group. Agonized over the menu for ages since there were so many options too — they also serve pretty late brunch food which is a bonus for those that enjoy it!

Came here on a Saturday morning with wife and kids and we were the first ones there after 8am, we were greeted and seated promptly, the place looks great reminds me of a modern wine/dessert bar that somehow feels cool and comfortable at the same time My girls had the kids french toast and pancakes, and they loved it, forgot to take pics, wife had western frittata which she said was ok but wished it came with toast, and I had the classic eggs Benedict not the best nor the worst I’ve had… coffee was decent… girls split a Chocolate cake for dessert… overall willing to come back and try other things on the menu… since its relatively close by, the service was great and the place looks nice, will definitely support this local business

First off, the interior of this café is absolutely beautiful. I’ve been here a couple of times and I can never choose from all of the items on their menu. My personal favorite is the French Style Chicken with roasted potatoes, both of which are perfectly seasoned and cooked. I typically get truffle fries on the side(they are to die for!) Officially my favorite place for breakfast and lunch. I will definitely be back and I’m going to make sure I bring everyone I know!

I also found this place on Groupon. I got a $ 20 for $ 12 deal. A friend and I each ordered entrees and she got an iced tea. Our balance was $ 7. So, it is decently priced, per person. The interior is modern, but classy. They have lots of mirrors and windows and the place just feels cozy. The service was better than I’ve had recently. I could’ve used some more water. But overall, it was good. Our server was really friendly and seemed to enjoy her job. Our food tasted great. My burger was well-seasoned and the fries were yummy, too. The only negative would be that the restaurant was hot! They had fans going, and the front door open. I’m not sure if they’re trying to save on electricity, by not running the A/C or if they just don’t have any period. I’ll definitely be back!

My family was staying at the Marriott in La Jolla and we were looking for a good breakfast place so I checked Unilocal for a restaurant with great ratings. The reviews said it’s new and already has really good reviews so I had to check it out. So glad we did! Excellent food! I ordered the Belgian waffles, my husband ordered the chipotle eggs Benedict and both my kids ordered the banana Nutella crepes. They were all really good. The prices are really affordable and you get good-sized portions. The atmosphere is great with modern décor and friendly staff. The location is in an industrial area but don’t let that deter you. If we ever come back to the area, I hope this place will still be here. A lot of the restaurants we have come to love have come and gone so I’m really hoping this place stays!!!

I enjoyed a very nice breakfast from this new café and bistro. I ordered the Mediterranean omelet and substituted the breakfast potatoes for a side salad. The omelet also came with a side of fruit and cost $ 9.50. No toast came with the breakfast. The omelet came with tomatoes, red peppers, red onions, fresh basil, and Mozzarella cheese. The omelet was pretty good and came with a very good amount of its ingredients. The egg portion was a little over done, but it tasted good and was well seasoned. I liked the combinations of all the ingredients, but I could not help to feel that the omelet would of been better suited with Feta Cheese because the Mozzarella cheese was very mild in flavor. The omelet needed a little oomph and the saltiness and aggressiveness of the feta would of provided that. The salad was very good. It was freshly prepared and came with a good mix of greens, including fresh cut cucumber and tomatoes. The vinaigrette that came along with the salad was light but very tasty. The small fruit bowl was very good. All the fruit was crisp and vibrant, bursting with juiciness and flavor. A very nice comforting omelet indeed, but a side of toast of crostini would of been a very nice addition. They also offer a variety of baked good and coffees. Service was very pleasant and attentive.

Bottom line: Come check out this place for breakfast of lunch! It promises(and so far delivers) good food!

Found this place on groupon and since I love checking out French places this was a must! It’s new and nicely decorated with modern touches and open spaces with natural tones, appealing and relaxing. I ordered the chicken pesto panini which was delicious and well prepared, the dressing on the side salad was also tasty. The chicken in the panini was very well cooked. My partner in crime ordered the salmon salad and praised how good it was. She said that the fish was tender and cooked unusually but wonderfully balanced between crispy and soft. The ingredients are blended well from the mustard to the almonds and artichokes. Our waitress was a complete sweetheart, and was very polite and interesting to talk to. Very interested to see what this little brunch spot develops into and would love to come back one day. Magnifique !

Caprese Bagette, Steak Frites, Quiche Lorraine — all words that bring me back to my visits to Paris. Not to mention, the mention of these dishes instantly make my mouth water. On a recent visit to my kids usual haircut spot, I noticed a new café on the corner of the same strip mall. It’s modern, chic look was very inviting and definitely caught my attention. Bagatelle Café and Bistro was calling my name! Thanks owner Sylvie and the awesome team at Bagatelle Café and Bistro, the family and I were able to enjoy a wonderful summer lunch at the brand new restaurant. First of all, the ambiance inside the restaurant takes you away from the hustle and bustle of Miramar Road and allows you to enjoy a relaxing meal. The modern, chic décor and upbeat vibe is one you would expect in the more trendy areas in central San Diego. It is a welcome addition to the Miramar and Mira Mesa areas for sure! from Bagatelle Café and Bistro Facebook Page The staff was super friendly which gave a welcoming feel to the restaurant. They were gracious to answer all of our questions about their menu and even offered from great suggestions on menu favorites! The menu has lots to choose from. It ranges from breakfast to lunch items, American to French inspired dishes. I stared at the menu for a few minutes trying to decide what to get. It all looked so good! I decided to get the chicken shawarma special for the day that was displayed on the chalk board outside the restaurant. The kabobs were grilled just right. The grilled tomatoes were still warm as I bit into them. the hummus was creamy goodness! It all was very delicious and very filling. I couldn’t finish it all. Hubby has the chicken and mushroom crêpe which he inhaled! He kept making the«mmm…mmmmm» sound as he was eating. That’s always a good sign. I took a bite and it was delicious. It was savory and creamy, and seasoned just right! My son Jelo had the Strawberry Banana Crêpe. He loves his strawberries and bananas so with his being his first crêpe experience, he ate one of the two huge fruit and cream filled crepes on this plate. He said he was stuffed! My younger son DJ loves waffles so when he saw the Belgium Waffle on the menu, he was set! The waffles came with bananas, strawberries, and a generous helping of whipped cream on top. Of course, I had to take a bite. The combination of cream, fruit, and warm waffle goodness was perfect. DJ usually doesn’t rave about his food but he did say, «Yum, this is sooooo good»! We have found a new favorite restaurant in our neighborhood! We are looking forward to bringing family and friends here for we know they’ll enjoy it as much as we did!

I would give the food 3 star, but since we had a nice and really sweet server, I’m giving 4 stars. Came here for breakfast and I really liked the décor. The inside is pretty nice with a good amount of seating. We ordered coffee to start off and there’s an option if you wanted a dark or medium roast. I chose the medium roast. The coffee was average. The medium didn’t have a lot of flavor to it, not sure how the dark would have been. I ordered the Belgian waffles. I was in the mood for warm crispy waffles. Others ordered the Benedict, Nutella crêpe, and the croissant sandwich. My waffles were the last to come out. When they finally came out, they looked pretty good. When I took a bite, the waffle was cold– almost like it just came out of a refrigerator. I had to take another bite to make sure it just wasn’t a cool spot, but sure enough that bite was cold as well. Not room temperature, but cold. I told the server that the waffle was cold and asked if these were freshly made. She went back to the kitchen and indicated that they are not freshly made but pre made since they do not have their own waffle maker. I was a bit surprised and not sure why the waffles weren’t at the minimum baked or warmed up a little. I did ask to change the order to something made fresh, so I chose pancakes. The server apologized. Unfortunately by the time the pancakes came out most of my group was almost done eating. The best part of the dish was the whip cream. I usually do not eat whip cream with waffles or pancakes, but this was pretty good and could be a syrup substitute. The server came back and checked up to ensure everything was ok. I didn’t get her name, but I was happy that at least the customer service was great. Customer service goes a long way for me, so even though I did not like the waffles at all, I would possibly come back and try something else.

Miramar Rod has a lot of different types of food but Bagatelle adds a new one — the table service, French style bistro. I had the California eggs Benedict for lunch and it was delicious. It was served with breakfast potatoes and fresh fruit. Inside the decorating is very neutral; you’d never think it used to be a fast food place. Bagatelle reminds me of Opera café in Sorrento Valley — similar food and ambience. The only downside is that the place is a bit expensive compared to the average Miramar lunch, but that may be due to the table service format.

Yum! Delicious food! The waffles were incredible, as were the Rosemary potatoes that come with the eggs. Food had great presentation and the service was excellent. Good portions as well. New place — only opened up 3 weeks ago. Inside atmosphere and decorations very modern and clean. Definitely will come back!
