Now this is my kind of place. Antiques by Bruno(formally Amilien Antic, Inc) is a store that is packed from ceiling to floor with 17th to early 20th century fine European furniture, accessories and it even has a small Art Gallery in the back. Come prepared to dig through huge armoires, ornate sideboys, head and foot boards of all sizes, clocks, rugs, etc to find that special one of a kind piece that will make that perfect impression in your home. I suggest you wear your old clothes as the dust and dirt that goes hand in hand with antiques is prevalent at this place. I love the smell of stores like this– the old oils that the wood is finished with, the dusty rugs and tapestries with their faded colors and the clocks whose ticking can resume with only a wind of a key. Containers arrive weekly with new shipments so go often to get the best selection. Bruno(the new owner) is willing to negotiate on the prices marked. I found the perfect Dhalian inlaid Table for my foyer. The price was negotiated, the shipping discussed, now all I have to do is to get home to do the final measuring to make sure it is as perfect as I think it is and then have it shipped. One of the best things about traveling are the little«finds» you find along the way. And I think this table as well as this store is just that– quite a find!
