Angela is an amazing hair stylist. She always delivers greats cuts for me. She knows what looks good based on my type of hair and headshape. She is easy to set an appointment with and overall a joy to be with during our hair cutting sessions. I cannot recommend her enough. If you are even sort of considering it, go see her and try it. She is a long time pro at this for men and women

Angela is awesome. I stumbled upon this gem a few months ago and I got a brown/red color with a trim and loved it! Great place, I would recommend it to any of my friends!

This place is listed on the promopacs that people sell at UCSD. I’ve never bought one, but my roommate got suckered into buying two of them. Being the good roommate that I am, I went with her to get our hair cut at this place. It was the closest one listed as participating salons. I was a little taken aback when we first arrived, there was no sign indicating what it was, and it wasn’t near anything, it was literally right next to the 7 – 11 on Balboa. Anyways, we walk in and we weren’t sure that we had the right place, it looked like a studio apartment, and I actually think it was, but she converted it into a salon(how Ugly Betty of her). But really, because its so small it makes you feel like you’d chanced upon a little gem in San Diego. Once the hairdresser, Angela, started talking she told us that the place used to be full of hairdressers but they all left, but she decided to stay, that’s why she’s the only one on that little block. She has a little bit of an accent cause she’s from Trinidad, so she comes off a little hard at first, but she’s actually incredibly nice. She makes you feel really comfortable(it didn’t hurt that she told me she had 20 years of experience). Haircuts are generally $ 35, which is pretty good nowadays. Great little place to get your hair done at a reasonable price. My roommate and I loved our hair, and for my roommate she said it was the first time she ever walked out of a salon liking her hair.
