Savanna and her team did an absolutely fantastic job with me and my 6 bridesmaids and MOG. She was very responsive via email, showed up to my trial and the day-​of on time (even with a 5:30am makeup start for an 11am ceremony). Her and the other ladies (thanks Carina, Cassie, and Johanna!!) were hilarious and kept us entertained as we got prettied up. They finished early and we looked amazing. Will post pictures once they are done! The airbrush and regular foundation makeup (we were about 50% one and the other) held up great for the whole day (after party ended at 11pm), and everyone got so many compliments on their hair and makeup. Overall, great attitude, super sweet, very professional, fair pricing for the AMAZING job she does, and I can’t recommend her more! So happy to have worked with her and the girls for my wedding. Thanks Savanna!!!

A friend had referred us to A Toast to Beauty. We made an appointment with Savanna. She was able to meet us at our home, that was great. After a few trials of hairstyles, the bride-​to-​be was confident that had found the look for the big day.
On the morning of the wedding, Savanna was able to manage 5 different hairstyles for the bridesmaids and the mothers of the bride and groom. She had a pleasant attitude and very professional which made the morning less stressful. The bride received so many compliments on her hair that day!

A Toast to Beauty did my hair and makeup for a formal event I went to. I am EXTREMELY picky and I usually never like when I get my hair done and especially not my make up. Can I just say… it was gorgeous! I had Savanna do my hair and makeup. She is the nicest person ever! The extra detail she adds really shows how talented she is! I have long hard to deal with hair and it looked better then I have ever seen it. There is nothing better than feeling confident in the way you look for any type of event. I will DEFINITELY be referring everyone to A Toast to Beauty girls and using them in the future!

Savanna did my hair and makeup for my wedding in July. I had done a few hair and wedding trials prior to meeting Savanna just a few weeks before my wedding, but I had had a hard time communicating exactly what I wanted. I initially met up with Savanna to do a hair trial, but after just an hour hair trial with her, I was confident that she would do a fantastic job with my makeup, too, so I booked her without ever doing a makeup trial. She was able to figure out exactly what I wanted even though I was having a hard time articulating it – a quality I found is rare among wedding vendors. She was also a very calming presence on the day of my wedding, which is always a plus. I would highly recommend Savanna to anyone looking for hair and/​or makeup for a special event.

I had the pleasure of meeting Savanna a few weeks ago when she did my hair and makeup for my maternity photo shoot. She was nice enough to offer to come to my house to do my hair and makeup, but I opted to meet her at her location in Old Town, which was very charming. I showed her a picture of how I would like my hair done, and I just sort of vaguely described how I wanted my makeup done, and she did everything I asked. I loved how I looked! My husband loved it too… as did our photographer! Now we have our pictures back and I am getting rave reviews on FB from everyone due to Savanna’s awesome work! As a pregnant mother who has an almost 2-​year old toddler to chase after every day, it sure was nice to have a day of beauty and to be reminded how it feels to look pretty!
I would recommend Savanna to anyone in the SD area who has an event — she is amazing! Oh, and I forgot to mention she is very easy to talk to, I don’t think we had one lull in the conversation!

I had Savanna do my hair and makeup for a Sunday dinner event. I called her 5 days before (a previous stylist didn’t work out at the last second) and she called me back quickly. She only had a slightly earlier appointment available so I took it, she offered to do airbrush since it would last longer.
My hair and makeup turned out GREAT! I showed her a few pictures of what I liked and told her what things I didn’t like and she nailed it. She also perfectly fixed little things I didn’t like. See picture (don’t I look pretty ;))
As far as professionalism, Savanna was on top of it. She was very helpful and polite, and aways responsive to phone calls/​msgs. I also felt comfortable with her the whole time. She brings a good set up with her including a chair so you don’t have to worry about moving your stuff around.

This is my very first Unilocal review, and I’m so glad is for Savanna! SHE IS AWESOME!!! I asked her to do my hair and makeup for my wedding day, and she was able to squeeze me in her schedule on a short notice.
Before the trial day, I emailed her with tons of questions, and she always responded promptly with patience and smile in her words! She is super punctual, well prepared, and very open to my opinions and suggestions on both the trial day and my big day. (I suggested a new tool to help with my eye makeup on the trial day, and on my big day, which was only 4,5 days later due to my tight schedule, she had it ready to go!!!) It was very easy and comfortable to work with her. She is extremely friendly and fun to talk to!
Besides her uplifting personality, her work is AMAZING!!! She took my feedback on the trial day and turn it into a stunning look on my big day! Not only did I received countless compliments from families and friends, I was also complimented by many strangers on the street (A friend’s friend even asked for her info after seeing pictures from the wedding)! I am so thankful for her work!!! She is now definitely on my go-​to list for the wedding reception next year and future events! Highly recommend her for a wonderful experience and a fabulous look!!!

Savanna did the hair and make up for my engagement and wedding photos, as well as the hair and make up for two other friends weddings I have been in recently. She is always prompt and creates the day-​of schedule to ensure a stress free and calm day. She is so talented and such a joy to talk to while getting your hair and make up done. She knows what looks good, and while she still wants you to look like you, she knows the right amount of make up so that you’ll look your best in photos. Savanna is AMAZING!!! I hired her to do my hair for my company holiday party and she did an incredible job. My hair is super thick and not always the easiest to manage, so I was really impressed with how she styled it. I got tons of compliments and was so happy with the way it turned out. Would absolutely love to use her in the future for other events and my wedding! :)
