Katie is an absolute gem. She did my hair and makeup for my elopement in La Jolla. Not only did she do an amazing job on my hair and makeup but she helped me along the way, recommend places to get a hair flower clip in, and lip stick shades. She is an absolute pleasure and cant wait to see her again. Thank Katie you rock.

I am so glad that I chose A Dab Will Do You! Katie was beyond amazing! From the moment we met she was extremely easy going and personable. She was extremely quick to answer emails/​texts. Katie made the whole experience relaxing on a somewhat stressful day! The makeup turned out flawless and I felt like a princess! I wish I could be more original in my review, but all the other posts are so true. I would recommend Katie hands down!

This review is long overdue, but I need to let everyone know how wonderful Katie was, even if I’m a few months late.
Katie did my hair and makeup for my wedding, as well as my sister’s and mom’s hair and makeup. I found Katie on Unilocal and the Knot about six weeks before my May wedding and contacted her to schedule a trial. At the trial, Katie was so friendly and did a wonderful job of asking questions to find out what style I was looking for. At the trial, Katie did 3 different hairstyles so I could see what each option would look like on me. She did such a fabulous job with all 3 that I couldn’t decide which I wanted. We took photos, and Katie told me I could just let her know the morning of the wedding. Over the next few weeks I showed friends and coworkers the photos so they could vote, and every single one said it was too hard to choose since Katie did such a wonderful job on all 3.
Katie was great at communicating with me during the week of the wedding. I was stressed out enough about all the other wedding stuff going on, so having a hair and makeup artist I could count on was important, and Katie was just that. She showed up right on time, fully prepared to do hair and makeup for my sister, mom and I.
All of our hair and makeup looked great. Katie is great at understanding each person’s style and incorporating that into the hair and makeup. The hair and makeup for each myself, my sister and mom were all different but fit us each perfectly. I was particularly impressed with how she did my mom’s makeup — she looked absolutely beautiful, but it was still very age appropriate.
My favorite thing about Katie was how comfortable she made me feel. I tend to get a little stressed out, and after waking up the morning of my wedding with a migraine, i was STRESSED OUT. Katie is so easy going and friendly that you can’t help but feel comfortable around her. We all chatted and watched HGTV while she did our hair and makeup, and it was like we were old friends just hanging out. My stress level went way down and was nonexistent by the time of the wedding, so I was able to really enjoy the day — I am very grateful to Katie for that.
I would absolutely call Katie for hair/​makeup in the future, and will recommend her to anyone I know looking for a hair/​makeup artist. Give her a call, you won’t regret it!

Katie is fantastic, very professional and patient! She did my wedding trial as well as my hair and make up for the day of my wedding and she did an outstanding job! I loved the natural look! She always focused on making me comfortable and she immediately understood what I had in mind. Both hair and make up lasted till the end and it was flawless! I’m really really glad I met her, she is very attentive and I couldn’t be more pleased with what Katie did. I would totally recommend her for her amazing talent and her enjoyable personality.

Katie is fabulous! She did my hair and makeup, as well as my friend’s, for my daughter’s wedding. She showed up on time, was very easy to work with, and was very professional! She really did a fabulous job on our hair (and we’re picky) and it lasted all afternoon and all evening without any problems. She also did a great job with our makeup. I’m not a heavy makeup person… she did it so it looked very pretty and very natural. I was so sorry that it didn’t work out for her to do my daughter’s hair as well… schedules for trial, etc. thru no fault of Katie’s. At least I got to experience her services! Katie is a pleasure to work with! I’m not a people person, but she’s so easy going and personable that I felt comfortable with her from the beginning.
She listened to what I wanted and executed flawlessly. I had unusual ideas with my hair and she just rolled with it. Her makeup is flawless, and I didn’t even feel it! I wanted a natural look, and she delivered — keeping me looking like me, just enhanced a bit.
I don’t know if I’ll ever need her services again, but I know where to go if I need a make up artist, and I definitely recommend her.

Katie is wonderful! I had no idea where to start when looking for hair and makeup for my wedding, and I am so glad that I stumbled across all of Katie’s amazing reviews on Unilocal!The whole wedding experience was a little overwhelming for me – I wasn’t really one of those girls that even thought about being a «bride» until it was happening to me – and I found that a lot of the pressure of a wedding comes with your appearance on that day. From my trial to the day of, Katie was perfectly accommodating, creative, and attentive. She made me look like an enhanced version of myself, not somebody I wouldn’t recognize, which was very important to me.
My makeup was flawless and lasted all night, which I was shocked by. My hair was exactly what I envisioned it would be, and she worked wonderfully with the challenge of my large floral crown and veil. She also did hair and makeup for my three bridesmaids, and gave me exactly what I didn’t know I wanted! They each worked with Katie the day of the wedding to come up with their own individual hair and makeup looks, and they all came out perfect.
The biggest fear I had with hair and makeup was timing – one girl to do all of our hair and makeup? No problem! We had time to spare!
Katie was professional, enjoyable to be around, and a lovely calming presence to add to my wedding day. I am so happy that I found her, and I highly recommend her to anyone needing professional hair and makeup – seriously, you will not be disappointed!

Katie is simply amazing! She is so sweet, kind, easygoing and to top that a great makeup and hair artist. Katie was fantastic! I was really nervous about my makeup since I don’t typically wear any and I wanted the most natural look possible. Katie did even better than I could have asked for. Her application was quick and flawless and she is super sweet. Such a pleasure to work with! My makeup was so light and easy to wear. I felt wonderful all night and just like myself. She is so talented with not only makeup but hair as well. I trusted Katie completely based on my past work with her, but I am still glad that I did a trial for my wedding makeup. It was fun and a treat. I recommend scheduling your trial for the same day as your engagement session or bridal photos. I loved having my makeup done for the photos, and the photos gave Katie good feedback on minor adjustments to make for the wedding.
Katie made my sister, mom, mother-​in-​law, and I all look beautiful and feel special. I recommend her wholeheartedly!

Just wanted to update my review. Katie did my makeup for my wedding and it was fantastic! She did it both for my photos and the day of my wedding. I looked completely flawless, like a porcelain doll — I loved it. I got so many compliments and am so grateful to Katie for making me look beautiful on my special day!

Katie is so incredibly talented and so easy to work with! She did hair and makeup for me and makeup for my mom, and most of my bridesmaids for my wedding and everyone looked incredible!
She patiently worked with me on my look (I was very indecisive) and I could not have been happier with the results! I don’t wear a lot of makeup but Katie made everything look very natural and the airbrush makeup looked still looked good 10 hours later! Amazing! And my hair was absolutely perfect. I was looking for a place that could do my hair and makeup for my wedding. I found good reviews of Model Call on Unilocal and decided to try it out. I set up consultation makeup and hair sessions with Katie H. The makeup and hair trial went very well. Katie was very creative and took my somewhat limited suggestions and did a fantastic job with the hair and makeup. For my hair I decided to go with a half up, half down do since my hair is quite thick. I loved what Katie did with the back of my hair adding some soft waves and creating pretty little flowers with my hair. After the consultation, I decided that I wanted to do a bit more with the front of my hair. Katie was very open to suggestions and made sure I had all her contact info so that I could let her know if I wanted to make any changes. On the day of the wedding, Katie and Alex worked on the hair and makeup for me and my three bridesmaids. Alex did a fantastic job with the bridesmaids’ hair. She created different styles for all three that looked great. Katie worked on the bridesmaids’ makeup. The makeup looked very natural and perfectly highlighted each bridesmaid’s best features. The bridesmaids and I put together all of the flower decorations ourselves, so we ended up with some extra flowers. Katie and Alex suggested incorporating the flowers into the hairstyles and the end result was perfect. Katie worked on my hair and makeup and I couldn’t have been happier with the end result. She ended up modifying the makeup from the consultation session and it turned out looking even better than before. She really highlighted my eyes and the airbrush makeup felt very light and lasted all night. Katie added soft twists to the front of my hair, natural looking waves, and beautiful detailed work in the back. She added some orchids to my hair that would be fully visible when I took off my veil. I really appreciated that she took the time to make sure that none of the bobby pins were causing me pain, and even though I ended up with close to 70, I didn’t feel any of them and my hair stayed perfectly in place all night. My hair and makeup looked fantastic and I got numerous compliments throughout the night. I couldn’t be more pleased with what Katie did.

I have been going to Katie for my hair and make-​up for 5 years now. I am happy she finally signed up with Unilocal because I refer her to all my friends as often as I can! She’s amazing, she’s so knowledgable and I cannot say enough positive things about her and her work. She has the best work ethic and a positive effervescent energy. You will not be disappointed with her.
