7 Image Salon

I stumbled across this place because I needed last minute highlights and root touch-​up. I got lucky enough to squeeze in an appointment with a woman named Joy. When I got to the salon I realized there were no blonde hair dressers, so I was a little hesitant since I’ve had bad experiences in the past. I was greeted by Sharise (I hope I pronounced her name right) and she was so cheerful and welcoming. She then introduced me to Joy who also was very professional and kind.
Still a little hesitant, I told Joy EVERYTHING I needed in a hair dresser. I stressed the importance of how I needed her to be gentle and that I was trying to grow my hair long and blonde. I told her that hair dressers had snagged my hair in the past when rinsing and did not use a wet brush on my wet hair to prevent breakage. Let me also stress the fact that I am an absolute perfectionist, and I showed her pictures of exactly what I wanted. She replied, «That is so easy!» and in detail discussed exactly what she was going to do. I began to feel confident that she indeed knew her stuff and I was willing try her out even though she’s not blonde!
As she was doing my hair I was so pleased how gentle she was, yet she still managed to get me out of the salon in a timely fashion. She’s all about business and I could tell she truly listened to my needs! She also gave me suggestions of how I can maintain my hair without being too pushy!
As she was doing my hair I began feeling very excited, knowing she would do an amazing job! And low and behold when I left the salon she gave me the exact results I wanted. I HAVE NEVER EVER HAD SUCH AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE WITH A HAIR DRESSER. She is now my regular hair dresser and I will tell everyone to go to her! Her prices are pretty reasonable too!
I cannot speak for every hair dresser at the salon, but I will say the place is very classy. They serve water, coffee, and sodas which are set up nicely on display. They also have snacks set out that are available for anyone! I will come back every time I get my hair done and I am so happy I found this place! I felt so beautiful after leaving!!! THANK YOU JOY!!!

7 image SALON… My experience today was phenomenal. The salon was extremely professional from the time I entered the salon until the time I exited. I was helped soon as I walked in. It was brightly lit very welcoming and mirrors galore. I didn’t even have time to put my purse down I was already being walked back to get my hair shampooed. The promptness at its highest… Brittany the best shampoo job I have ever had in my life. The way she massage my scalp as she shampooed it. I could have literally fell asleep. It completely relaxed me… Brittany braided my hair prior to my installment. The braids were extremely neat and she was very gentle. In most cases gentle and braids don’t go hand in hand but Brittany gives braiding a new meaning. Now to my master stylist JOY… Joy made a masterpiece out of very little to work with as far as the hair I brought in for her to install. The fastest sew in EVER!!! 40 mins is all it took world record. Not only was it quick but was precise down to the stitching. I was cut and style and out the door it took a little more than a hour. I was completely blown away how she cut the layers in the bulky hair, as well as thinned it out. Joy gave me a complete natural look. Joy does not work at a hair shop! She works at a SALON and today I was shown the difference between the two… I highly recommend 7 image SALON they have a lifetime client now…

7 image is a beautiful sophisticated salon with a relaxing ambiance. I’ve been going to Joy for years and love coming in and seeing the friendly staff. Highly recommend this venue for hair on fleek!

Rebecca’s awesome! She helped me with my take down for my sewn in extensions, along with wash and blow dry. I was nervous about how my hair would look but she made me feel comfortable throughout the process and I’m so happy I did it! This place doesn’t get enough attention it truly deserves! Thanks Rebecca definitely will be coming back!

I can’t say enough AMAZING things about this salon! I love all of the staff. They are attentive, knowledgable, and professional. The atmosphere is sexy and sophisticated and oozes lux! Joy is a TRUE artist! She focuses on the health of my hair as well as the look of my weave. Brittany, Rebecca, and Eric are on ! Each of them has had a hand in my stunning look! Salon was great! I found the salon on Instagram under #sdsalons. I’m not from San Diego so I went on a whim and called to get my hair dyed and they fit me in the same day. The ambiance inside was calming and I felt important being there! Lol. Eric did my hi-​lights and he did amazing! He got me in and out and left my hair feeling and looking awesome. Will def go here again when I’m back in the area.

I have never left 7 image salon disappointed! First of all location is great, the salon is really clean and the décor is so adorable. Eric is super fun and easy to talk to and he is so talented! I’ve never had a hairstylist until now that really took time to listen to exactly what I wanted, and performed with consistency. If you get a chance to come in, make sure you book an appointment with Eric!

7 Image Salon is an amazing establishment. The staff are professional and were very patient with my daughter for her 1^st day of school style appointment. I’m even more taken back by the beautiful design and ambiance of the venue. As a man who doesn’t know much hair salon etiquette they were pretty patient with me when I had a ton of questions regarding their services. I also checked out the website the Manager of the Salon is Joy, and yes she is a Joy to talk too. In addition to the standard experience they have group services, special events, and product lines. It’s great to go to one place and have all your hair needs met and exceeded. I recommend this place to those wanting the best of the best and a highly rated salon experience.

I came here for the 1^st time to have my ombré color changed, Eric is the bomb. He listen to what i wanted and gave me just that. The shop is very cute which is a plus, prices reasonable. Will for sure go back for my next appointment.

I went to this salon for the first time. My appointment was with Brittany. I needed a wash and cut because my hair was making me extra hot this summer. I think she did an outstanding job and I fill and look great. If you need a stylist you should definitely go see Brittany, she is great.

I was so happy they were able to squeeze me in the next day at 5:30 (30minutes before they closed) for a dry cut. I was so mad that the hair salon I had went to cut my hair super straight and chopped off a good length I did not want. so after being harassed by that owner, it just made me angrier looking at my hair. Booking an appointment here was super easy, the front desk/​receptionist was super nice and the décor inside and simply gorgeous. My hair stylist was Eric and he was super nice. Either though I had to cut more to get the shape, I knew i was in good hands. He was able to make it not as choppy and shaped it more into what I really wanted. I can’t wait to come back to get my hair colored when it grows out more. Highly recommend!

My mother is 30 year veteran cosmetologist who raise me to be the hair snob I am today. Of course no one can replace my mom but they were more then capable to feed my inner hair snob. The products they used were all sulfate free and high quality. I am very pleased with the service and my hair.
One of the most diverse salons I’ve ever been too. Its nice to be able to go to the salon with all of your friends no matter the hair type.
I now can come to San Diego without the terror of finding a salon.

honey! I love the customer service to the timely manner I was in there. I don’t like spending my whole day in the shop and I definitely did not do that, I was in and out so thank you for that!

I went in for a Brazilian, didn’t realize I bought a groupon for an eyebrow and BIKINI but Shawanna was amazing regardless and did all 3. This is my second time ever doing this. My first time encountering a Brazilian, was extremely painful and torturous. I felt like I was being punished. However, THIS TIME, thanks to Shawanna, it was quick and painless. Not only did we have a great, intelligent, at times humorous conversation, but this girl is also extremely talented! She made something I anticipated to be awkward, feel completely natural. She is extremely professional, she does a FANTASTIC job and she is QUICK!!! I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
The place is decorated so lavishly. Seriously, I want the name of that interior designer, the whole ambiance of the place gives you a good vibe. If I could give it more than 5 stars, I would!

I walked out. Literally.
I scheduled an appointment with Joy the «head stylist» I met with her the previous day for a $ 25 consultation where she basically just fluffed my hair around and said I should cut it. She seemed well put together and the salon was very neat and clean so I decided to give it a chance.
I returned the following day for my appointment and the assistant blew out my hair and made polite conversation, when she finished I sat there and waited. And waited. The assistant came to check on me after about 20min explaining that Joy was on a call with the owner. I continued to wait. Ten more minutes pass and Joy comes from the back room and walks by without a word.
I politely exited without a word. If this is their standard of customer service I will happily decline.
I don’t have confidence this salon will prosper. If the owner is more interested in keeping her staff occupied than allowing them to serve the customer they are doomed to fail. My conscious however is at ease. At least I donated $ 25 to keep them in business.

I was a HUGE fan of 7 Image Salon, until Toni left. I decided to stick with it and tried out Joy’s services because A) the location was convenient B) I generally believed I would be treated with the care and professionalism that I had come to expect from this salon and C) having an additional new stylist always comes in handy when scheduling is an issue.
Ladies, convenience should NEVER trump professionalism.
As soon as I arrived Joy introduced herself and seemed nice and friendly. And then she asked me my age and said my current hairstyle aged me 10 years.
The comment was inappropriate; even if that was her opinion it should’ve stayed just that, hers. As a client I was there for a service, not unsolicited advice. Had I asked for her opinion that would have been within the realm of an appropriate response; had she said instead post-​haircut that my new style «made me look 10 years younger», that would’ve been ok too. Neither of the latter situations happened. If I hadn’t been so desperate for a relaxer I would’ve walked out as soon as those words left her mouth. But I gave her, and the salon the benefit of the doubt. The overall atmosphere was a little too casual for my liking, especially as a first time client.
Me and my old hairstyle will not be returning to 7 Image Salon.

I went in to see Megan today. What a great experience. She really listened to what I wanted and executed it perfectly. She was super friendly and very accommodating. The rest of the staff was very friendly. They ask if you need anything water, coffee and snacks. I’m so happy with this salon. From the start to finish excellent service. Great prices too! Be sure and stop in to see Megan, she is awesome!

I booked an appointment weeks in advance because it was important that I get my hair done on that day. The morning of my appointment I called to verify the time and I was hit with a bomb. One of the stylist informed me that they were trying to call me and they left me voice messages. They had to reschedule the time and she was not sure for what time because Toni was not in. She offered to style my hair but I declined because I wanted Toni. I had no voicemail from the salon, I know because j check my voicemail constantly. I was VERY Disappointed about this incident…
