Don’t trust the prices listed, bought something for $ 1.79, rang up as $ 1.99… Didn’t give me the advertised price. I know is only .20 cents, but it’s the principle. But then, it is 7 – 11, what do I expect?!

Lovin it! First of all they passed out these awesome 7 – 11 scratchers, in which you ‘win’ something free every day. Today was a Wednesday so I got free 99 cent 7 – 11 brand chips? At first I was a tad disappointed with my Cheddar chips, but thinking back it was a pretty good buy(well it would be if I paid for it). When you think about getting the name brand chips around that size for almost double the price, it holds it’s own. LOVE the layout. I’m pretty loyal to my 7 – 11 on University(across the street from the 99 cent store in Hillcrest), BUT this location not only offers the flavoring that you can add to your beverage that I adore, they ALSO do it for 99 cents on a big gulp refill. Which not all locations do. Tie breaker: I can reach things! I’m super short and the lids and straws for the big gulps are in giant land at my Hillcrest location. In this store everything is easily accessible. It’s nice not dreading the drink I can’t live without. I would have given this place 5 stars, but the lack of alcohol and bright eyed new hires forced me back. You know how usually when a new place pops up, all the employees are either overwhelmed because it’s so busy or super nice because they don’t hate their job yet? Not so much. I hadn’t realized how high my expectations of friendliness were. No one was rude, but just a little lackluster. No ‘Hi’ when you come in etc. End game? I’ll be back. I’ll Prob get a lot of my big gulps from there. However I will continue to be a patron of my neighborhood location because the employees there are super chill and always put me in a good mood. Also super happy that there’s a little parking lot at this Washington location because it can get very treacherous over there. Update: The last three times I went, the staff was beyond helpful and courteous. Added 1 star because I’m looking forward to returning in the immediate future.

What can I say? It’s a 7-Eleven. I had mixed feelings about this place taking over the old Blockbuster space. On the one hand, it’s always nice to have a Big Gulp at a moment’s notice. On the other hand, there is a great liquor store(Del Mission) across the street and I fear that their business will be impacted by this chain monster. Fortunately for them(and unfortunately for people who live on the north side of Washington and are too lazy to cross the street), this 7-Eleven does not sell liquor, booze, wine, beer… nada.
