My friend invited me to co-work here while I was visiting San Diego, and I love the friendly and creative crowd that it attracts! There’s such a fun atmosphere with great work being done. Lots of areas to plug-in or just relax… upstairs, downstairs, and even outside. I wish I was in San Diego longer to witness some type of event, because I can imagine how rockin’ those would be! In terms of location, 3rd Space is literally on the same street as all the food you could possibly want. When I say that, I mean two of my all-time favorite places to eat, Bahn Thai and El Zarape. Parking can be a challenge, but just arrive early, and it’s no problem. If you ever have the opportunity to visit and do some work here, you won’t regret the inspiring experience.

I have been a 3rdSpace member for almost a year, and grow to love it more and more each day. First of all, what a great location. University Heights has to be one of the best neighborhoods in San Diego. The architectural charm, the diversity, and«small town feel» all make it one of my favorite places. Tons of parking, very walkable, and always something going on. Second, the other members here are some of the greatest people you will ever meet, and I honestly mean that. Many of them have become some of my closest friends. Lastly, we do some awesome things as a member group. From monthly get togethers, to KickStarter meetings aimed at helping startups gain some traction. Get out of your house or the coffee shop and come to 3rdSpace!

Love this place for studying, business meetings and brainstorming sessions. Located pretty much underneath the University Heights sign on lovely Park Blvd. This building is basically an old printing shop that was built about 50 or so years ago. There are multiple levels including a kitchen, performance space, conference rooms(which need to be reserved), and a art studio along with plenty of desks and outlets for your laptop. You can easily get cozy in a corner and get lost in your work. Now why 4 stars instead of 5 you ask? There’s a catch, you need a membership! They start at $ 75 a month and go to $ 125 a month, but you get a lot with that. Along with stuff mentioned above they have monthly mixers and almost nightly events. Best part about the membership is there’s no riff-raff will be hanging around and no I’m not talking about the white rapper Miami! Take a look at their membership page you and might recognize a few familiar faces… Bono and Hasselhoff, you don’t say? Cheers

Unique co-working space for more of the techie crowd, but I do know non-tech companies and people that work out of here. Parking is the worst around this area though… like a notch worse than other areas of SD.

I’ve been a member for over two years now and I can’t tell you how many inspiring people, projects, shows, concerts and events I’ve experienced here. This is such a great and versatile space. There really is something for everyone. If you need a part-time studio space(like myself) it’s perfect. There are also community work areas available, private work areas, conference facilities, lounge, kitchen, maker space, not to mention the whole main floor converts nicely for concert space, gallery or events. But for me, it’s all about the members. They’re a hugely talented and creative group and I’ve made some great friends here.

Went to a lab hack to check the place out. It’s really cool and relaxed environment. Affordably priced and a great place to work and meet folks.

So happy to have found my new work home. I couldn’t be happier to have found such an amazing place with even better people to share it with! I am so proud to say I am a member here. I have been here 1month and have already hired two other coworkers in the space to do projects for me and my businesses. The creative energy is contagious and couldn’t feel more blessed or inspired!

OK, this place is cool. I’m not a member, but this place makes me want to find a reason to be. The guy who created it runs a Meetup group I’m a member of and the meetings are held here… so at least I get to be cool every so often. He has a clear vision for this place… and, it’s completely unique down to each individual member. It’s an industrially artsy, creative, homey kinda space… lots of different(big and small) rooms to meet, a small kitchen, and a work area in the back. Right in the middle of University Heights. If you’re a monthly dues paying member, you have full access to the place… to work, to create, to entertain. If you can’t get creative here, it’s not going to happen anywhere. And, what a great place to meet.

This is a great space, smack in the middle of ‘Park’(by the University Heights sign, between Bourbon Street/Lei Lounge, and Twiggs coffee shop). It’s an upstairs + double-height space with a bunch of different areas that you can enjoy in different ways, on your own, with friends, etc. As you arrive upstairs, there is a more lounge-y room at the front of the building, with windows looking out to the street. Next to it, more of a conference room, next to a kitchen. From there the floor opens to a double-story space with grand wood staircase that doubles as presentation stage. Finally, tucked towards the back of the building, rows of cubicle office spaces. Very comfortable, very ‘architectural’, nicely decorated in contemporary interior design.
