Love this place. They make you feel like royalty. Great hair cuts. Great stylist. Great barbers.
When you go in. Make sure you ask Teffi. She’ll grab you a cold beer, great cut and a clean shave. Is there really much more to ask for?
All in all, i highly recommend this place. It’s nice to give my business to honest hardworking girls like the ones there.

Wanted to say thnx to Lucia and Teffi. Lucia helped me come up with a little different style of cut witch i like and nobody else has seemed to hit. Her service was great and courteous and i felt comfortable there. I like the fact you change shirts there to prevent messing up your own with fine hairs (:
Teffi was just as good in terms of service. Down to earth and easy to chat with. And im not exactly a chatty person. Had never done a manicure so decided to give it a shot while i was there for a haircut.

Go see Jessica Castillo at Men’s ¹⁸⁄₈. I moved to the area a year ago from downtown and been struggling to find someone who knows what they are doing. She is great and I even got two comments at Thanksgiving about how good my hair looks these days. Highly recommend her as a stylist.

This place is awesome, great service. I started going here a few months ago. Teffi is an awesome stylist and always does an excellent job. If you go here, make sure to book an appointment with her!

After months of growing out his hair to be able to have a new style, I booked my husband an appointment here. The service is great, the staff are all very friendly and the salon is very clean. After explaining what he wanted and showing the barber a photo of the style he was going for, it was downhill from there. It seems as though she payed no attention at all to what he wanted, she cut the sides down skin short, you can see his scalp and cut the top as well. After explaining he wanted to be able to wear it in a combed back style she cut it super short so there isn’t much option in how he wears it. Her barber skills were good, but it’s really unfortunate she didn’t listen.

Teffi is one of the best!!! I’ve been going to her for over a year now and she’ll be doing my hair for life. The salon is amazing too! My new favorite thing to do is to go get a haircut!

I went here 3 times before deciding to never come back. My first experience was great, 5 stars for sure. I had let my hair grow out and had to get clean cut for a business conference. I had Mona, who did a great job the first time around. I tend to like to get my hair cut every 6 – 8 weeks. The second time I came back, Mona realized how much time was in between cuts (they want you back every 3 – 4 weeks for a full haircut!) and didn’t cut my hair as short as before, with the expectation that I would be back sooner. She even told me that this time my hair wouldn’t look as short because of how drastic the first cut was. I told myself, OK, I’m gonna come back again, this was probably 6 weeks after the second cut. They double booked my appointment time with Mona and then Mona cut so little (once again saying that it wouldnt look as short as before) that I was forced to get another haircut 3 weeks later at a different salon.
So I will say 5 stars for the haircut
I give 1 star on the repeat customer experience.
Since I had 2 bad repeat experiences, 2 stars is the average.

I had a very bad experience at this place. Very unprofessional. My appointment was 5:00pm. Got off of work at 4:30pm. Rushed to 4s ranch to go to my appointment with Mona. Hit traffic due to an accident. Something I cannot have avoided. Came in at about 5:09pm. Told the manager (Kelly) at the front desk that my appointment was at 5:00pm. Kelly greeted me sat me down and offered me a drink. (Never mentioned anything about my tardiness) Few minutes passed, Mona greeted me and escorted me to the room to change into one of their shirts. Few more minutes had passed as I was changing. When I came out I did not see Mona at her station. So I sat down and was ready for my haircut. Mona came back and stated that she can’t see me because I was late and her next appointment was at 5:30. She had a rude attitude and her demeanor was very unprofessional. Shocked to be kicked out after we went through the whole motion making me think I was getting a cut. The time she took to prep me she could’ve used it to cut my hair! No one ever mentioned to me I was late when I walked through the front door. Why did you sat me in your chair in the first place? If I was late, why offer me a drink and not address it at the door when I checked in? I’ve been here twice once with Jeri and with John. Both were very professional. John was actually 15 minutes late to cut my hair and I did not complain. You just turned down a well paying customer. Mona offered to see me tomorrow but I will be out of town. Thanks but no thanks. Maybe it’s because I came in with a ball cap and was dressed down. Looking like I can’t afford a good tip for her. Well what she didn’t know was I just came out of a meeting to make a $ 50k custom pendant for a client. Im very generous to anyone with good service. Last two times I came in I dressed professionally and had no issues at all and I was the one that waited for a late haircut. Jeri was the best… too bad she moved from this location. Even though John was late, he was very professional about it.
Ps. Spoke to Kelly (Manager) and made my complaint. She apologized for not mentioning about my tardiness. And offered a free haircut. If this place is all about punctual. It needs to be throughout with their customers and employees. Very hypocritical when I waited for my late haircut. All I asked was for some consideration as I did for John.

This place is awesome. I was greeted by a smoking hot receptionist, after which I was sat down and offered water, beer, coffee or tea. My stylist was an attractive blonde woman. I didn’t have high hopes that she was skilled, but she proved me terribly wrong. She was incredibly skilled and a perfectionist, paying attention to every little detail. I was impressed. Her personality was slightly cold, but it didn’t matter. She more than made up for it in other ways. I will definitely be returning to this place for all my manly needs (i.e. haircuts, manicures, facials, etc).

If you want an amazing haircut, along with a great experience like a massage and hot towel then I definitely recommend coming to ¹⁸⁄₈. Not only that but I would personally recommend going straight to Teffi! Teffi is very personable and she gives a great haircut. She listens to what you want and makes sure you’re leaving satisfied. I don’t trust most people with my hair, but I’d let Teffi cut it anyday!

This is the premier spot in north county to get your haircut, your straight razor shave. Referred by a friend to see Teffi, I was shocked at how nice the shop was. She sat me down in their one of a kind barber shop chairs and the rest is history. For a guy that has no idea what he wants to do with his hair, she gave me a cut that lasts. Something I get compliments on 6 – 8 weeks down the road. The whole experience is like flying first class, and is worth every cent. Make an appointment, ask for Teffi, you won’t look back.

I have gone to ¹⁸⁄₈ and had Teffi do my hair twice. I must say it is hands down the best total styling experience I’ve ever had. My g/​f also thinks they are the best haircuts she’s seen on me. The salon is cool as well. They offer you a beer and pamper you from the moment you arrive until you walk out the door.
Teffi is now my stylist for life. I bought an executive membership and look forward to my next shave and style.

I came in on referral from a friend to see Teffi for a cut and a shave. After my first experience, I will now only allow Teffi to cut my hair. She’s a great barber and stylist. Easily my favorite cut I’ve had in years. I have recommended her to all my friends.
…oh and the beer while getting a cut doesn’t hurt the salon, either.

Last year I surprised my husband on our anniversary with an Executive hair cut with their Senior Stylist. My husband usually goes to a barber and when I told him that I set this appointment for him, he was very skeptical on spending so much money on a men’s haircut.
However, after his appointment, he couldn’t stop raving about his experience and how great his hair looked.
I have never seen his hair look better! He came home raving about the hot towel, relaxing neck massage and how seamless and stylishly modern his hair looked. His stylist always does a phenomenal job on his hair!
I’m so happy that my husband had such a great hair spa treatment and that I was able to have him experience the type of salon that every man should go to.
He’s now enrolled in the Executive Membership where he gets 7 Executive cuts a year with 7 touch-​ups as well as half off any grooming service.
Ladies, do yourself a favor and get your husbands/​boyfriends in here ASAP!

Debbie is an artist. I gave her free-​reign on a new style for my hair and she hit it out of the park! She has great attention to detail and pays attention to everything you ask of her. She is my stylist-​for-​life.
To top it off, John cut my 13-​year-​old kid’s hair. He said that normally he tells the stylist they did a good job, when he actually hates it. He said that for the first time, he really meant it and he has kept the same style for three months now. He said the girls at school complement him and like to touch his hair now…
This is the best hair salon ever.

My husband has been going to this salon for several haircuts now. He used to go to a unisex salon in the same plaza, but after he discovered this place, he was hooked. The first time he went there, he came home raving about it. He finds it very professional and always likes the extra touches like the beverage they offer (he always chooses the beer!) and the warm towels wrapped around his face. It’s not cheap, but his haircuts look good and it’s also classier than your average haircut store for men. :)

So it was my third time back I have stopped asking for what I want Mona is a stylist you can give the freedom to do what she wants just tell her how professional it has to be I really have found my permanent stylist again if you haven’t go see her worth every penny and make sure to give a good tip$$$$ and did I mention a free drink when ur their wish they had wine in stock though but not a big deal!

It has been a lifelong struggle of mine to find a hair stylist I like (the struggle is real!). It’s very rare that I return to the same place twice, and I was facing the very real possibility of running out of hair salons to try. You would think it would be easy for a guy, but my hair has a mind of its own and its impossible to style if it’s not cut properly.
Just when I thought my chances of ever having a good haircut was over, I walked into ¹⁸⁄₈ and met Mona. I have finally found my salon.
Hands down, Mona is the best stylist I’ve ever had. I told her a little of what I was looking for and she did it better than I could have imagined. The most impressive part was the second time coming in she didn’t even have to ask me to refresh her memory on how I wanted it. Each subsequent time has been as great as the first.
The salon itself is very nice too. All of the staff is friendly and welcoming. They offer a free beverage of your choice. They’ve had Ballast Point on tap, wine, or you can have soda/​water if you don’t want to take full advantage of the experience for some reason. You change your shirt into one of theirs, which is great because there is nothing worse than having little cut hairies poking the back of your neck from your shirt. You then sit in a comfortable chair with a sink in the counter, receive the best cut of your life and get a hot towel treatment and style at the end.
Mona even helped me with with how to style my hair (I used to use a ridiculous amount of hair product because I thought I needed it to hold it in place). She is friendly, funny and professional. I highly recommend going to this ¹⁸⁄₈ and asking for her, even if you have to drive a little ways. I created a Unilocal account just so I could recommend them to everyone, which is saying a lot because I rarely write public reviews.

When I found out about this place I thought the concept of an all men’s salon was awesome, so I referred my good friend Dustin. Dustin has had his hair cut by the same person for the past few years and has switched to 18|8! He loves the atmosphere and he always sees one of the barber’s Daniel! He has been going back since, at least once a month.

This was my first time at a men’s salon and I’ll never go back to my wife’s salnon again!
I found ¹⁸⁄₈ Men’s Salon on Google Maps while searching for a place close to where I live in Rancho Bernardo. I used the online booking system which was super easy to pick a day and time that worked for my schedule. When I arrived, I was greeted by the salon owner Joel who just so happened to be manning the front desk that day. Was offered any kind of beverage I wanted, Joel even had self-​self Ballast Point on tap.
Within mimutes I was taken back to my stylist where she then showed me to a little dressign room where I removed my shirt and put on a dry-​cleaned pull over so as not to get hair clippings on my own shirt. I thought this was a very nice touch and something I had not expereinced before.
I then sat down with Debbie, and showed her a few photos of what i was looking for. She cut and styled my hair perfectly. She even gave me a few pointers on how I can style it at home as I’m kind of changing my own style. She was very helpful and I would recommend her to anyone.
This place even has beard oil and a number of other great products for men. I love this place so much I made my next appointment after checking out.
