Just called to see about an appointment today and was told they no longer do nails. Drove by later and saw the shop is permanently gone. :(

Just came into this place with my girl friend while waiting for some things to process at the bank next door. She asked the nail lady who(we think) just does hair, to file her nail down. The lady told her«no I can’t, if you don’t like it then leave.» I can’t even believe that any person in a business would ever tell a customer to leave. So we walked out and we are still currently in shock. Don’t go to this place if you want to be told to leave if they don’t like what you request. I’m leaving this Unilocal on my girlfriends behalf. She works in a salon and cannot believe she was told to leave because she wanted her nail file. Maybe she was having a bad day?

Ok so, I have always been a quality over quantity type of gal… So when shopping for services, prices don’t always deter me from things. I chose to come to this salon because it was close by to work(went on my lunch break) and I was in a hurry. Next time I’ll be sure to allot more time to head to another salon. I should have known by the amount of customers present when I went in, I was headed for trouble.(The place was deserted). I requested a french manicure and an eyebrow wax. Grand total of $ 28.(Not including tip). And as per usual we pay before we get our nails done to avoid messing them up. While everything looked beautiful and was skillfully done, I firmly believe that what ever product they used on my nails was super cheap. Within 24 hours, my nails had chipped, and within 48, whole nails were missing.(They peeled off like the skin of a tomato!) This is NOTNORMAL! The only thing I enjoyed, aside from the extremely personalized service, was the eyebrow wax… The woman redefined the shape of my brows and it really complimented my face. And that at least, has lasted beyond the dreaded 48 hour window… If I ever bring myself to come back here… It’d only be for eyebrow waxing services. Good luck!

Julie always has time and a smile for you. Her place is clean and her pricing is fair. She’s a good lady and the location is so close to my work, it makes it very handy.

I’m a man and had never before had a pedicure. But I had a lot of rough patches on my feet and wanted them smoothed. This was the only nearby salon I could find on Unilocal with male reviews so my mom and I gave it a try. The two women in the shop were able to take us basically as walk-ins. We called first but only made an «appointment» for thirty minutes later). They had three pedicure chairs. The one nearest the door had water that was way too hot while the one farthest from the door was lacking in hot water. They sorted that out quickly enough. My feet felt great after they were done and with only a minimum of fuss. My mom wasn’t impressed with their foot massage but said it was one of the best cleanings and cuttings she’d ever had.

What a great find. I have been going to the salon for about 3 years. A very clean quiet retreat. I love having a manicure and pedicure at the same time with special nail art. Last week I went in for a quick wash and style and to my surprise I received a wonderful head massage. I was so relaxed I didn’t want to drive to my event. Julie and her salon ROCKS!

Only been here for hair cuts. Julie is very nice and knows asian hair. Prices are cheap in my opinion($ 25 for shampoo, cut, and style)…my hair is right at my shoulder blades. I think this place is convenient and very accomodating.

They’re good here but a tad too gentle. Clean and tucked in a nice plaza. Reasonably priced and never really busy on the mani/pedi side. The ladies are sweet as well. Lots of men coming in for haircuts. They have an okay selection of colors and carry a lot of OPI colors but mainly lots of variations of red.

I have gone to this place on and off for the past 2 maybe 3 years now. My family of women recommended this place to me and I have to admit, the owner Julie does a great job with cutting my hair which is why she’s the first person I think of when I am in need of a dire hair cut. She also does a great job with hair coloring and highlights. She does employ two other women for the mani/pedi. From my experience, they are not as chatty as some I have met but they are corteous and do a thorough job. Sooo if you can get past the lack of social etiquette, great. Just a read a magazine or something. What I like about this place is that I don’t have to wait long at all, sometimes not at all and I HATE waiting. The prices are very reasonable too.

I was roaming around one day and discovered this place. It was super clean, especially for being 5 years old(I think that’s how long the lady said it was open). The tabletops were clean, wax machines covered and looking sanitary. Everything looked as if it were still new. Which pleases me very much! It was pretty quiet. I can’t remember what day of the week it was, but it was at a time that other places are so busy that you have to wait. Not here. I didn’t take that as a bad sign, just thought that it was an undiscovered place as it was a bit difficult for me to get to after I noticed it. I had to do a u-turn to get into the parking lot. The price was much better than another place I go to, by about $ 10 and they even included the ubiquitous art on your nails, too. They were fast, without skipping things, and I was very happy about the massage, etc. Happy to go back as soon as I can!

This place is ok. It’s next to my bank, which is convenient. I got a spa pedicure which was nothing to write home about– wimpy massage, a little swipe-swipe of the pumice stone but my feet were still crusty afterward. When doing my manicure, the gal had to re-do 2 of them– hair from the brush stuck in one, and she bumped the other one. She tried to fix it by putting more polish on(nooooo!!!) and finally wiped it off and started over when I was about to say something. Maybe she was new, i dunno. I’d probably only come back if I had to go to the bank and get a pedicure on the same day, and there was no line.

Yes, I am a man and I love a good pedicure! There, I said it. But before you get any ideas that I’m high maintenance, know that it only happens whenever I’m in the same town with both my sister and Mom at the same time(maybe once a year). We consulted Unilocal to find a good salon(read: clean, cheap, and has spa pedicure tubs) and based on the reviews, but we wound up at 1001 on the way to another salon. The girls got spa pedicures with a painting(is that what they call it?) and I opted for just the spa pedi($ 20), with optional callous scrub treatment($ 7, well worth it!) It’s a very clean place, and the two Vietnamese ladies that took care of us were very pleasant. One spoke almost no English, but knew enough to get by. I had to wait a bit for my treatment, as there were only the two ladies working, but it was fine, as it meant more soak time in the tub with full massage chair! It was a fine experience and in no way emasculating(except for the dearth of dude mags. I had to thumb through quite a few«Redbook» and«Us» mags to finally score a few issues of «Real Simple»). Same time next year! TIP: Not that I know about the ins and outs of nail salons, but I did catch a sign on my way out which read«You can now tip on your credit card». I assume that’s a good thing?
