Talega Village Center

We spend a good deal of time here and enjoy a number of the shops.
They are still struggling to keep this center leased. Surprising to me. Perhaps the rent demands are too high?
It needs another «anchor» restaurant — preferably in the old Sea Smoke/​Enne space. I still think that a pizza place, or other kid-​friendly option, would thrive.
Also, two new tenants appear to be coming soon — A wine bar in the old pet store space, and a State Farm office in the end space near V’s.

Fun place to just hang out. Great restaurants with a little fro-​yo afterwards. Feeling a little frumpy? There’s a fabulous salon down yonder. A nail salon and a trendy clothing store right next door. All around great center.

Not going to lie… I pretty much live at this center, but I give it just 3 stars because first class pizza is gone. Talega Village Center would be so much better if it had an eatery for the kids… First Class was that perfect stop for after games, or for a quick bite… Other then that, everything else is great!!!

I think its a nice little center the Sea Smoke Grill looks good but it gets 3 stars because it has a peets coffee and thats always a good sign. There are a few shops here and there but it looks like its a nice little center.

well i find sea smoke to be one of the best sushi restaurants in san clemente for sure they have great blue fin tuna and yellowtail belly

These are four anticipatory stars, mind you. My nose would be pressed up against the glass if any of these places had windows yet, but check out this list of deliciousness soon to be in my very own nabe. Very VERY excited. I was terrified that they were going to put in a Claim Jumper or CPK but they have wisely chosen, in my opinion. Somewhat melancholy, our little SC is growing up… sniff. Maybe some high-​end sushi will take the pain away.

The specialty bread/​bakery-​café wide menu of offerings including sandwiches, soups served in bread bowls, and salads. A full array of café, signature and hot panini sandwiches are available at lunch, dinner and throughout the day, made to order on Panera’s signature loaves and priced from $ 5.40 to $ 6.25. Sea Smoke 831 Via Suerte, Unit 101

Sea Smoke is a new sushi restaurant from one of Orange County’s top chefs, Master Takashi Abe and partner Ted Lee, who also operates Bluefin in Newport Coast’s Crystal Cove shopping center. Sea Smoke will offer some of the classic and creative sushi and specialty rolls diners have come to love at Bluefin and will introduce them to some new offerings only available at Sea Smoke.
Sundried Tomato Caf 821 Via Suerte, Unit 101

The first of the three new restaurants is Sundried Tomato. A local favorite since 1993, Sundried will be opening its third Orange County location at Talega Village Center. Chef/​Owner Mark Jacobi and partner Rob Quest have made a name for Sundried by serving up creative California cuisine like their pork tenderloin enchilada with goat cheese and a sweet enchilada sauce and their lamb burger with gorgonzola cheese offered in a contemporary and casual atmosphere.
