I’m finally taking an obligatory past due moment to express my frustration and disappointment with the local Taco Bell’s quality and the ongoing ineptitude among its employees. My wife and I have lived in San Clemente for several cheerful years and used to make regular stops there. This all started to change about a year or so ago when it seemed like there was a new employee turnover every time. Consequently, there was no consistency in the food and there have been constant screw-ups, like erroneous charges, ever since. The worst offense of all: not providing the product purchased, or forgetting items. These seemingly petty mishaps add up — I’m paying a premium for fast food. I can vividly recall the blunders of the past three visits leaving my wife and I feeling rather upset and unsatisfied to say the very least. Last night, June 7th, was one of them. We regrettably went through the drive-thru for dinner and promptly returned home. To our dismay, an item was once again suspiciously omitted from the bag. This time it was a shredded chicken quesadilla but we weren’t about to inconvenience ourselves and return as the hour was getting late. We decided to move on and live with yet another discourtesy. The loaded chicken chipotle griller I had ordered was the most shriveled up and tasteless deflated of a thing, it was barely recognizable as a burrito. The rest of the meal was insipid at best as well. The previous experience was another disaster. A cheesy bean & rise burrito was unaccounted for and the rice in my chicken burrito was like chewing on barnyard gravel. On the occasion that preceded this, I was charged an exorbitant amount to exchange one type of chicken for another in my eponymous chicken burrito in which I always do; shredded chicken for grilled chicken. The injustices go on like this. Sometimes the clerks monkey around on the intercom as well. Finally, adding insult to injury, the hot sauce rations are ridiculously meager at this location as well. I remember a time in my younger years when I could simply order two bean burritos and a chicken burrito and get exactly what I ordered. It was a better time. Now I have to identify everything precisely with arcane marketing nomenclature and make special preparation arrangements and it still results in an overpriced folly. That’s if I even receive what I ordered in the first place. In my experience there are good Taco Bells and mediocre Taco Bells and this one is awful. As a longstanding patron of Taco Bell, I expect a higher standard of service and quality. Is that too much to ask for? After all, Dell Taco is always right down the street. (This was sent to Taco Bell & they have made no attempt at correspondence to date)

I stopped by here, in the drive through for happy hour(2−5pm). Drinks are $ 1. I also ordered a pintos & cheese with onion. Fast service & a great deal! $ 2.47 for a medium drink & pintos & cheese.

Maybe it was because we ate there at a less busy time(8:30pm on a Sunday) and we went inside instead of using the drive-thru, but our food was great… Its Taco Bell people, not an upscale gourmet restaurant! Also we had friendly and quick service, so no complaints here!

Worst experience ever!!! When pulling up to pay at the window, the woman at the window was clearly incompetent. I say this because my total was $ 5.39 and I gave her $ 10.40. She asked me 3 different times how much my total was and how much I gave her. What kind of person working the register at a corporate company asks the customer that question. And when asked if I wanted hot sauce I replied«yes» and then she asks what kind and I said«verde» and she then asks«how many»…is that a serious question??? Upon arriving home the lady gave me Fire sauce NOT verde!!! Clearly Taco Bell needs to screen their employees a little closer and one of the requirements is to have a brain.

It would be cool if the employees wouldn’t enter the codes for the gold PS4 contest before the boxes are used for customers. We got two boxes thinking«Hey, maybe we will win!» and then we enter the codes and are told they have already been used. How professional and honest. NOT. The food wasn’t even good enough to redeem the realization that the codes were worthless. Take your money elsewhere.

I go to this Taco Bell with my friends at least 4 times a week. The customer service, food, and atmosphere is amazing.

So it’s been a long time since I went to a Taco Bell, and I wasn’t disappointed… The service was OK but the food was definitely a disappointment I bought 27 layer burritos and it seemed as if they were only two layers on there and they were all in the middle… review anything but since this was a pretty good disappointment I thought I do a review… The people were all right but the food just was not good. I learned my lesson

Ok. so yes, the line was long, it’s fast food people and just after 5pm, you’re waiting time Is Maybe 4 minutes geezeeee anyway .if Matthew G. Is at the window, he will make you laugh while taking your order. This is one guy who is making the best out of being stuck at work on this beautiful Saturday afternoon. if his employer is reading this… give that man a raise…

My only complaint is that he line for the drive thru window is very slow and usually very long. I really like Taco Bell, and whoever takes my order every time is really nice when I ask for everything beans instead of beef. Some taco bells aren’t so nice about it and act as if hitting the substitute button is a hassle for them. When I get to the window(I’ve only been to this one 3 times) the man at the window is so nice! Every time when I’m waiting for my food to come out he asks me how my day was, and if I’m in scrubs he asks me how work was. He’s really polite and knows how to make a customer feel like they matter. Thumbs up to you!

Had no choice but to stop by here for something super quick to eat the other day. Service was okay and quick, no complaints there. Food presentation however was not up to par. The soft tacos looked like the had been thrown together and the Stuft Nacho was flat as a pancake. We asked for«A LOT of hot sauce» and they gave us 5 packets. WHAT?! I use on average 3 packets per taco so this definitely wasn’t enough. Won’t be back.

Slooooooooow. Slowest Taco Bell ever. Disturbing that family members of worker got food quickly and we continued to wait.

Taco bell used to be my «go to» for a good, quick taco. I don’t know what happened. There is hardly any beef in the taco, and the beef has zero flavor. It doesn’t help the taste with being stuffed with mostly lettuce. I don’t know if it’s all Taco Bell’s or just this one.

Love me some Taco Bell, but the people working at this one are fucking weird. Don’t talk to me about being a manager and how awesome it is to yell at people, with your fake smile and annoying attitude. I don’t want to hear your cheesy jokes about fire sauce, or my burrito selection. «having a taco day?» Dude, really? Just give me my food and don’t make this awkward haha.

Old reliable San Clemente Taco Bell, one of my favorite stops on the way to the beach for good but inexpensive food. Gotta love their Baja Blast. Makes it worth the trip. This one could use a remodel but then, you’d only get it sandy.

The food is just as every taco bell has but the presentation and effort put into it is a disgrace to the chain. The only reason we all come to this restaurant is because we are usually drunk at midnight and the guy hooks up the sauce. Otherwise this establishment is a waste of time. Just go a mile north to the next one.

I had a great experience here, seemingly contradictory to almost anyone else. I don’t often write Unilocal reviews, though I read them often but the guy working at the drive through was friendly and talkative, the food was great, service was fast and it was convenient to the freeway.

Honestly, I’m not one to write a review for a fast food place. It’s fast food, something about it is going to be shitty. But I really should have listened to the reviews before stopping by here on my way up to LA. They accurately summed up my experience at this Taco Bell as well. Thankfully, I did read them while waiting for my food and checked if we got everything. Unfortunately, they STILL screwed up the order even after we verified it with them twice and they read it back to us. Even if you’re just on a road trip passing through San Clemente, AVOIDTHISTACOBELL!

The manager is terrible. The staff was even yelling at him. A young kid who was so rude. He was handling cash and cleaning the counter with a dirty towel, then he starts making my burrito without washing his hands. I asked him can you please remake my burrito because you didn’t wash your hands. I explained to him why he should wash his hands. I asked to see his Manager Serve Safe Certificate which should be available for the public. He refused. Then he says if you don’t like it don’t come back. I have been a Manager in the Restaurant Industry for 15 Years.
