All I can say is Amazing ! Steph did my hair and it can out awesome !! The salon is clean the products are great and the over all experience was fantastic !! I highly recommended this salon !!

Kristennnnn! Saved my life. I tried bleaching my own hair at home (obviously high on something) jk and I came to her in total bereavement. I didn’t even think it was possible to lighten what I had done (orange) in fear that my hair would all break off. She made it look normal and it’s gotten better and better each day. Plus the cutest medium length cut ever! Thanks Kristen– you da best!

I am not usually a Unilocaler, but this place is amazing. Stephanie, the owner, gave me a haircut and color last night. I had a fantastic experience. The salon is really cute and different than the average san clemente salon. They even have a super cute store in the back that you must go into! Stephanie was probably the easiest person to talk with and she totally nailed my color. She is so fun to talk with and of course you are happy when you just got off work and your stylist offers you a glass of wine while she makes you beautiful. She is great at fitting you in when you need a cut badly and does amazing work. I am so happy to not have to drive out of san clemente for a hair cut or color anymore. If you want to find a stylist in san clemente, Stephanie is definitely your girl and you will fall in love with her salon and shop!

I recently got my hair cut and colored at modest spot by Kristen and I absolutely love it! I’m always a bit nervous about changing up my hair but felt like Kristen really understood what I wanted and made me feel at ease. She gave me balayage highlights and an adorable asymmetric bob! I’ve gotten so many compliments on my new look! The salon is also super cute and unpretentious. I even heard they opened a boutique in the salon and I’m looking forward to doing some shopping on my next visit.

I found a review for KRISTEN like this on Unilocal about 10 years ago when I lived in San Francisco. And it was a serious hair game changer for me. KRISTEN has been my stylist ever since. And even when I moved to SoCal I would go up to SF to have my hair done by her. (everyone one else, the best stylists I could find were just not cutting it ;-)
I’m so, so happy she’s now at modest spot salon because she’s closer to me than ever!
My wavy hair is very temperamental and thick and she knows how to tame it and give me on trend cuts, and recently my beachy balayage. She’s super talented and I honestly only trust her with my hair. If you get the chance to get in her chair DO IT.

After 7 years in San Clemente, I’ve finally found an amazing place to get my hair looking great. Stephanie, is fantastic, from start to finish she made my experience everything I’d been looking for. She’s got a client for life.

Love, love, love this salon, but we live Caprice more. After looking for a new hairdresser, we found Modest Spot and couldn’t be happier. Caprice is patient, sweet and a master at the art of all things hair, color — you name it, she’s great at it. My daughter and I won’t get anywhere else!

Came to Modest Spot for a blow-​out before a wedding I was attending in San Clemente. The space is adorable and relaxing! Stephanie was absolutely charming and did an amazing job! If I am ever in town again — I will be sure to revisit!

I came in today at about 1:00 to see Emily. My hair has been dyed so many different colors that I was so nervous she wouldn’t be able to lighten it any more. I had it dyed red about 2 months ago, but I was so ready for a change. She did such an amazing job! I’ve already gotten tons of compliments on my hair, and I’ve only been out of the salon for a few hours. I’ll be recommending her to everyone, she’s incredible!

Modest Spot Salon is literally right up the road from my house. I walk to and from my appointment.
Stephanie does an amazing job. I’m back to the blonde I was years ago. And the cut keeps getting better as it grows. Plus, I love the way she styles my hair.

Thank you so much! They did an amazing job on my hair and makeup. I had an upcoming event to the military ball and I walked around with confidence and beauty because of them. They washed my hair, nicely curled and styled my hair, and beautifully did my make up. My hair is thin and straight, which makes it hard to style and hold, but the curls stayed in through the night. I showed a picture of what I wanted for my makeup and she did it perfectly. She didn’t over due it with too much eyeshadow and the air brush makeup system I found to be so much better and lighter than regular makeup. My hair along with my makeup stayed as I danced the night away.
The ladies who work here are wonderfully friendly and efficient. They did exactly what I asked for and much more. Not only were they wonderful, but the environment was cute and relaxing. A perfect place to get pampered!

Caprice is fantastic! She takes whatever mumbo-​jumbo of a style request I make at the beginning of my appointment and gives me just what I was looking for. Today we did a few lowlights and a little bit of dark color underneath to give my hair some dimension — I just love it! Modest Spot was recommended to me by two of my friends (who both go to Caprice) and I’m glad I finally took their advice! :)
